View 1 RepliesASP.NET
When TextBox1.Enabled = false; it has a gray background in FF3, but no change in IE8 or Chrome. So it's harder to tell if it's disabled or not. Is there any more general way to make the disable textbox rendered more consistent on a top-level? So I don't need to change this for every page or every website?
I need to make sure a user can only enter numeric values for my Invoice Amount Textbox. It is a decimal field in my database.
I came across the MaskedEditExtender. It seemed like the solution for the problem. However, say I want to enter an amount of R50.00
The mask is set to 9,999,999.99.
When the textbox looses focus the amount becoomes 5,000,000.99.
Is there a better way that I can achieve this??
Code:
<cc1:MaskedEditExtender ID="InvoiceAmountMaskedEditExtender" TargetControlID="txtInvoiceAmount"
Mask="9,999,999.99" MessageValidatorTip="true" MaskType="Number" AcceptNegative="Left"
DisplayMoney="Left" ErrorTooltipEnabled="true" runat="server">
</cc1:MaskedEditExtender>

For the web site I'm building (targeted at mobile users) I'm thinking of using some Ajax controls. I'd like to know which mobile browsers do and don't support Javascript and Ajax, so I can know whether I've at least covered the majority of my target market (i.e. iPhone, Droid, Nokia, Opera). If not, I'll have to find an alternative way of presenting my forms.
View 5 RepliesI would like to disable dragpanel functionality using javascript yet only IE seems to work. If anyone knows how to get this to work across multiple browsers.
This is the aspx:

Currently I have no way of accessing the DragPanelExtender directly using javascript as it keeps returning null. If I disable the extender in the code behind from a partial postback it works fine, but I want to remove this partial postback and do it all in javascript. This works in IE.

how I can use validation contorls in browsers where javascript is turned off ? Is there some way they java script can be turned on ?
View 1 Repliesit's a multiline TextBox the MaxLength property does not work. At the moment I only see the option to use a CustomValidator with checking TextBox1.Text.Length on server side and perhaps in addition some Javascript client side validation.But isn't there a simpler way to do this, using the standard ASP.NET validators (RegularExpressionValidator, RangeValidator, CompareValidator, etc.)
