My AS.net code is trying to download some from the webserver but following error is coming
"The specified path, file name, or both are too long. The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters. "
Is there any way-out to over-come this sort of problem in ASP.net

I'm having some difficulty adding an autocomplete extender to a textbox and getting it working.
I've read through the samples and did a quick search on here, but cannot work out why it isn't working.
In a nutshell...
I've added a textbox onto a page, and added the autocomplete extender along with the AutoComplete page method.
Page
[Code]....
Code Behind
[System.Web.Services.WebMethodAttribute(), System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptMethodAttribute()]
public string[] GetCompletionList(string prefixText, int count, string contextKey)
{
StaffADBLL staff = new StaffADBLL();
DataTable dtStaff = staff.FindStaff(prefixText);
string[] items = new string[dtStaff.Rows.Count];
int i = 0;
foreach (DataRow row in dtStaff.Rows)
{
items.SetValue(row["displayName"].ToString(), i);
i++;
}
return items;
}
I've even tried adding an asmx file, and that doesn't work either.
I get no errors and when I start typing nothing happens, it doesn't even produce a list after 3 characters.
I tried to debug and it doesn't debug through the code, skips it completely.

Im using a ValidatorCallOutExtender for validate a ASP:textbox, but I have the problem when the scroll is at the top of the page, everything works fine, but if the scroll is at the bottom the validatorcallout is displayed above the textbox which is assigned. I tried adding a CSS mentioned in several places, a script that runs when the page is loaded, so as to put the SetFocusOnError = "true" but nothing has worked, the error occurs in all browsers.

I need to let my users enter a variable length list of items into something that looks like a grid view (or a series of standard text boxes stacked vertically). Each item could be a few characters or a few hundred characters long, and I just want them to enter a "sentence", and then tab to the next row, and always having another blank one ready to go at the bottom of the list.
I don't want to save any data to my SQL Server DB until they enter the entire list and then click on a "save all" button. When they hit the "save all" button they will be given a preview screen where the data will be presented as standard HTML ordered list. If they confirm/save, then each row of the grid will then be saved as a separate row into my SQL Server database (with an index to remember the order).What ASP.Net (or Jquery/javascript) UI control would be the best to use in this situation? (i.e. just for the data entry part - the rest I got covered).

I need to construct a regular expression for the password textbox, Min:8,Max:16 and must include atleast a number(0-9),alphabets upper and lower case. I am unable to limit the length to 16.
<asp:RegularExpressionValidator ID="RegEx" runat="server" ControlToValidate="Password"
ErrorMessage="Password must be min:8,max:16 characters and include a number,alphabets upper case and lower case.
"ToolTip="Password format is not correct"
ValidationExpression="^(?=.{8})(?=.*d)(?=.*[a-z])(?=.*[A-Z]).*$">
</asp:RegularExpressionValidator>

I bind a member's ID (primary key of type Int32) to the selectedvalue of a ddl, and the user name to the text. This has worked fine until now. I have just exceeded 255 members and it is crashing when I bind any member with an ID value 256 or greater.My error is, "'ddl3HomePlayer' has a SelectedValue which is invalid because it does not exist in the list of items. Parameter name: value"I think the problem is that a ddl.selectedvalue can't exceed 255. Is this correct? How do I set the selected value to type Int32?

Pardon if this is more serverfault vs. stackoverflow. It seems to be on the border.
We have an application that caches a large amount of product data for an e-commerce application using ASP.NET caching. This is a dictionary object with 65K elements, and our calculations put the object's size at ~10GB. Problem:
The amount of memory the object consumes seems to be far in excess of our 10GB calculation. BIGGEST CONCERN: We can't seem to use over 60% of the 32GB in the server.
What we've tried so far:
In machine.config/system.web (sf doesn't allow the tags, pardon the formatting):
processModel autoConfig="true" memoryLimit="80"
In web.config/system.web/caching/cache (sf doesn't allow the tags, pardon the formatting):
privateBytesLimit = "20000000000" (and 0, the default of course)
percentagePhysicalMemoryUsedLimit = "90"
Environment:
Windows 2008R2 x64
32GB RAM
IIS7
Nothing seems to allow us to exceed the 60% value.
See screenshot of taskman.

Since I'm new to coding and I'm trying to understand why here is a little more detail on the question.If you have a text box and you are limiting the input to say 2 charactrs do you really need to validate the input further? What I have is a text box that has a max length of 2. Is there a security reason to add a validator to the textbox. I should add this is in Asp.net.

I have a page with a text box, a button and a GridView. Enter an account number in the text box, press the check button and the result will show in the GridView.
Now user wants that if the text box is clear, the GridView disappear.
I can only find TextBox1_OnTextChanged. But I want to have that while the user is clearing the text, if the length of text becomes zero, the GridView is clear out. So I am looking for OnTextChanging(). Well of course this function does not exist. How to achieve the same purpose?
