Here When i create object of Class InheritingOneConstruntor value of public field var1 is zero at last. But when i checked step by step through debugging i found that when base class's New() constructor is called, for a moment all var1's value becomes 89. All var1 means at all locations where var1 is used i.e., in base class and in child class.But the moment control exits New() constructor of base class, var1's value again becomes zero. Why it happend ?

Apr 17, 2010I'd like to be able to determine what class will be called given an URL. For instance, I have a page /First.aspx that has a hyperlink to /Second.aspx In the code behind for First.aspx.cs, I'd like to be able to determine what class will execute if someone clicks on the hyperlink that points to /Second.aspx.
EDIT: One of the reponders asked me to outline the problem I'm trying to address. Here it is: The codebase I inherited has a subclass the System.Web.UI.Page that has a public Authorized method that returns a boolean. The Authorized method checks the parameters passed via the query string against the authenticated user, and determines whether that user should be allowed to call that page with the given parameters.
Elsewhere in the site I have hyperlinks that reference those protected pages. In some instances those links are displayed to users who are not authorized to navigate to that page. They can click the link, however they get an error. In other instances, prior developers when through the trouble of inserting logic that hides the hyperlink for those unauthorized users, but the authorization logic is duplicated (In the page itself, and in the linking page). What I would like to do is create a subclass of the hyperlink class, and have the subclass inspect the NavigateUrl, determine the destination page class, and call the Authorized method of that class to determine if the user is authorized to call that page. If the user is not authorize, the link will automatically hide itself.

When I remove the erroneous parts of the code, the page tells me that the Windows Identity I'm using is my user (which has access to the drive). I don't understand what the problem could be or what it's even complaining about.

Feb 2, 2011I have a property on my Global.asax.cs class that I need to access from a business class, i.e. using HttpContext.Current. How do I do this? Global.asax.cs (in a web project)

UPDATE:
To clarify - the property I'm creating holds an instance of the Castle Dynamic Proxy Generator class. I've read that you shouldn't just create this all over the place. So I thought I'd create it in my Global.asax.cs and then just use that instance wherever I need to create a proxy class (I'm using it to do AOP) Is there a better way of doing this?

One of my collegue installed the Ajax Minifier in the system and after that an error is triggerred from my application: Type 'System.Web.UI.ScriptManager' does not have a public property named 'LoadScriptsBeforeUI'.I have modified the web.config and tried several options. But, didn't solved the issue.

I see that in that file only, when I try to modify any code the IDE does not respond quickly as it does for other files. I thought of creating partial classes for the same but it seems that VS is not reconginzing the new partial class.
