Don't get any errors, the panel popsup as is supposed to, but the background doesn't gray out and the background of the panel doesn't display correctly either (it is black). The background of the main page doesn't change. To make sure I wasn't doing something wrong, I downloaded the samplcode (vb) from the AJAX website, and created a completely new web page, css file, .vb file, etc. Still have the same issue. I want to show all names when a user types in a letter in that textbox, whatever names starting with that letter. the names are from a list generated by other function, pulled out from active directory. So for example: User types in "a" in a textbox then automactically names "aron" "asron" "amanda" in the list shows, and user can select one of those names.

My constraints are:
That I have to match the first 4 letters of a column in T2 to one column in T1 I have to identify that the first letter in a column in T1 corresponds to one letter in the middle of a string in a column in T2 For instance:
My Table (T1):

The Combined column in T1 is what i'm trying to complete. The T1.Place column contains the first character that I want to check for.
If it's a "1" then I want to make sure the 5th letter in T2.Order is a "0" If its a "Y" then I want to look for a "1001" If its a "2" then I want to make sure the 8th letter is a "2" in T2.Order
If all that matches then I was the last two letters in T2.Order + T2.Value to be combined and put into the appropiate spot in T1.Combined

Aug 9, 2010i have an entity called User with 2 properties called UserName and Role (which is a reference to another entity called Role). I'm trying to update the UserName and RoleID from a form which is posted back. Within my postback action i have the following code:

However none of these updates the Role.RoleID property. If i try the following:
TryUpdateModel(user, "User", new string[] { "UserName, Role" });
TryUpdateModel(user);
The RoleID is updated but the RoleName property is validated aswell. That's why i'm trying to be more specific on which properties to update but i can't get any of the first examples to work.

Nov 7, 2010I am trying to find the most efficient way to prefix listbox item text with their current index.I have two listboxes on a page, the first holds a list of states, the second holds the selection of states. When the user selects a state into the destination listbox, the state should be prefixed with the current index position. The destination box is sorted, and also has buttons to change the item positionsIs there a way to get the index of the item after insertion, instead of looping through the entire collection to add the index?

Jun 22, 2010I am using a MaskedEditExtender on a textbox to verify a date. MaskType="Date" Mask="99/99/9999". Users of the system are used to typing just the last two digits of the year (i.e. 22/06/10) so I am trying to make this possible.
I have tried using Century="2000" but this option does not seem to function at all (still results in 22/06/0010).
A response in another forum suggests modifying the MaskedEditBehavior.js file to fix this behaviour - see here.
My question is, how should I go about modifying the MaskedEditBehavior.js file (as suggested in the link above), and how do I ensure that this modification is distributed with my application? I cannot even find this file to modify.

I want users to be able to enter an english word or enter a korean word in each respective textboxes...
Now I can only enter english in both of them... Even if my keyboard language is switched to Korean(I have the language pack installed).. I can not type in Korean in the Korean text box....
I thought I could simply change this using something like:
