and then get it back in the dataset and display on a page.
As of now I have successfully stored the questions with varchar(MAX) datatype but when I try to get it in the dataset i get the following error:
Failed To Enable Constraints. One Or More Rows Contain Values Violating Non-null, Unique, Or Foreign-key Constraints.
I am doing this in a ASP.NET web application.

Feb 1, 2010i've got some problem reading excel files to store into sqlserver database. currently my code has a fileupload control and a button for me to save the excel file into a folder and read the data inside the excel file and write it into the sql database. The code works only if the excel sheet name is Sheet1.xlsx, however i tried upload a diff file named ImportUserFile.xlsx and it gave me the exception below. 'ImportUserFile$' is not a valid name. Make sure that it does not include invalid characters or punctuation and that it is not too long. i have also tried other file names and it seemed only Sheet1.xlsx works.

I have 3 tables for example :
1. Article table : ArticleID - int , Article - nvarchar(max) .......
2. Categories table : CategoryID - int , CategoryName - nvarchar(150)
3. Article_Categories : ArticleCategoryID - int , ArticleID - int , CategoryID - int (And I set up relation in this table...)
I can store data into tables 1 and 2 that is working fine.. But I stuck with Table 3.
So far my code looks like this :

Mar 23, 2011My problem is regarding title written above. Currently I have some functions that rely on Sessions to do the job. Everything works smoothly when it is left to default. However, I do not like the idea of losing sessions in case of crash and I have modified my web.config to use Sql Server mode instead.
I have run the necessary commands to create tables and stored procedures in my database using aspnet_sql.exe. I am able to store values into the database but have not been successful retrieving them. Since it has been working fine with InProc mode, I think I can safely assume that there's nothing wrong with my codes. Here's my web.config setting:

If i've the button outside an update panel (basically i'm using RadAjaxPanel by Telerik) it is working fine. But when the button is inside an ajax panel, even if i click OK for deleting the records the server side code is not called.

ADO.NET :: Restoring A Server Database Through Code?
Nov 1, 2010I'm trying to restore a sql server 2k8 database from a .bak file. I've tried using two methods and both are unsuccessful. I've tried using the SMO classes and the error that I get is simply "restore failed for <serverName>". I also tried to simply run a query with the proper syntax for restoring a database. This runs but I get an error message that says the timeout expired. I tried extending the timeout through the connection string to 20 mins but it still fails within a minute.
