For ex, Label1 = 50 deg C
Label2 = 60 deg C

I want to display deg C as superscript.How can I do it?
Is there any way to display deg in degree symbol in asp.net and superscript it too?

I dont know if this is possible or not, but I have a column that I need to remove a bunch of exponent superscript references from a html field (and leave the rest). Does anyone know how to do this with SQL?

[Code]....
Everything works fine but I want to Show Location and Date also under the calendar control usnig Label control so when user clicks highlighted date it shows Date and Location (only the ones which are coming from SQL database and are highlighted) using Label control.

I am using ASP.net 2005 and dev language is C#.
I have written a DLL. My intention is to use the DLL in both .NET and ASP.NET. How can I pass a Label control (or any other control) to the DLL as a parameter.
View 6 RepliesIt's easy to bind a data source to something like a gridview or repeater, but how would I do it with a label? Heres the sql connection that I want to modify. By the way, I don't need 2 way binding.
public void Sql_Connection(string queryString)
{
SqlConnection conn = new SqlConnection(System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["RBConnectionString"].ConnectionString);
SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand(queryString, conn);
conn.Open();
cmd.ExecuteNonQuery();
conn.Close();
}
The query I'm using:
SELECT Description FROM RbSpecials WHERE Active=1
I'm fetching data from database which is of datetime data type and is in format "yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss" Eg: 2010-11-04 00:00:00 Now I want to display this same data in same format from DropDownList to Label Control. But when I try to display data, the same data is displayed but in some other format like Eg: 04-11-2010 00:00:00
View 1 RepliesI am using a asp fileUpload control, and was wondering if it is possible to change the lable on the button from the default "Browse".
<span class="spanText">
<asp:FileUpload ID="fileUpload" runat="server" Width="280px" />
</span>
From what i can read, there donesn't seem to be an easyway, unless I dig into its controls colection.
I have the following jQuery code working as it is (passing the value of 'test") but what I want to do is to pass the value of the label control (lblNames). I'm using the label control to collect the uploaded file names.
jQuery:
$(document).ready(function () {
$("#btnUpload").click(function () {
$("#Notes", top.document).val('test');
});
});
I know this is an XSS risk but for my sepcific scenario am willing to accept it.
I want to use an ASP.NET label control in suh a way that I give it some HTML and it renders it as html without being encoded.
<asp:SqlDataSource ID="sql_Region" runat="server" ConnectionString="<%$ ConnectionStrings:Test %>" SelectCommand="SELECT Number, Name FROM table_Region WHERE Number = @Number" SelectCommandType="Text">
<asp:DropDownList ID="dd_Region" runat="server" DataSourceID="sql_Region" DataTextField="Name" DataValueField="Number" /> Ok, I have this dropdownlist and I want to use the DataTextField for a label control.
Something like this. I want to show the region as a label but I only could get the DataValueField value not DataTextField value. Does anybody knows? <asp:Label ID="label_Region" runat="server" /> <C#>
label_Region.Text = dd_Region.SelectedValue.ToString(); <--I know by doing this, I can get the DataValueField but. label_Region.Text = (DataTextField) <<--How do I get this value? I want to show the region name not the region number
I placed label control and text = press. Now i want to set the underline only for p character like press to access this label...
View 1 RepliesI'm trying to learn ASP.NET 3.5 from a book using Visual Web Developer 2008 Express. I've come across a curiosity. The book had me create a Label control and wanted me to change some of the Font properties. I went to the Properties window and saw a heading for Font with a plus sign next to it. I click on the plus sign and the sub-properties for font appear. So far, so good.
When I did the next exercise in the book, it had me create a new Web page with another Label control, and it wanted me to change the Font property again. But, this time when I went to the Properties window, I did not see a Font heading with a plus sign. I simply saw all of the Font sub-properties.
I am making a form that contains a lot of User Controls, each User Control is part of the form (contains TextBox, ComboBox etc). User will use the form to update their information. At end of submission, I need to display the original data and the data that the user have entered. I wonder if is possible that I can replace the input control (TextBox etc) to Label? So I can just simply use the same user control, then convert each of the input control to label to display the data... (I just don't really want to use readonly or disable) Note: I used different dataset to map each of the User Control data. What I was thinking to do is like to get the input control from Page.Controls:
aInputControl = new Label();
or...
Page.Controls.Remove(aInputControl);
Then somehow add new Label in same position in the page. But I have no idea how...can't think of anything except add another div to surround each of the control. I just wonder if it this is possible...
Seems like making new user control is not a good way for me. I will just try to somehow map each original data and new data into a new User control, and write them into page.
I need to break this text on commas in asp:GridView:aaaaaaaaaa,aaaaa,aaaaaaaaaa,asdsad,aasfasfa,sfasfasfsfasfasfa,afasf.This text is stretching field too much.I have tried with css and with label control as field but has no result.
View 4 RepliesI have a dropdown which shows the NAME from a database. when the user selects the name, I need to display some of the data of the selected name to 3 Label controls. the data in particular are IDnum, Address and Status.
Here's my code.

How do i now display the values in my Label controls?
i have a Label control, and i would like to insert the value into the database, but i would like the value to be times 2, so for example, the value of my label control is 20, so if i added code that withdrew the 20 from the label, how could i make it take the value x2, so it would get 40 instead of 20, and if i had 5, it would get 10, if i had 30, it would get 60, etc etc, how may i do this?
View 6 RepliesI have a asp.net label control on my webform:
for this label I am setting the text property from code behind:
lblOne.Text = "Number of student is: 86 and Number of teacher is: 7";
Now I want to do 2 things:
Blinking the label.
Coloring: "Number of student is:" -
RED Color "86" :- BLUE
"and Number of teacher is:" - RED & 7:- BLUE
How do I attach a string to a label control. This is what I have so far:
<asp:Label
ID="Label1"
runat="server"
/>
and in the code behind I have the following:
protected void Page_PreLoad(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
if (!IsPostBack)
{
ViewState["string1"] = new System.Text.StringBuilder();
}
}
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
System.Text.StringBuilder string1 = (System.Text.StringBuilder)ViewState["string1"];
string1.Append("This has been appended to string1.");
}
But how do I connect my string to my label?
I'm writing in c# and using Visual Web Developer Express 2008
I need to create a user control. This control is so simple. It consists of a "Label" control and a "Textbox" control. The purpose of this control is just to be dropped onto a web page and have a user enter a single value into the textbox portion. This is the only code I have in the code-behind page of the control.
Public MustInherit Class AlbumName
Inherits System.Web.UI.UserControl
Private _text As String
Public Property Text() As String
Get
Return _text
End Get
Set(ByVal value As String)
_text = value
End Set
End Property
End Class
I would like to put a recognized event such as a KeyPress event in this control so that I can validate the users input.
