I'm working with an AJAX button and label controls. When the user clicks the button, the data is updated in the label.But after clicking the button, the Page_Load event occurs, and I don't want it, because all data is being initialized to default values.How can I check in Page_Load event that it's an AJAX request?I'm using UpdatePanel and ScriptManager as AJAX tools.

View 1 RepliesI have some code that I am working on that uses an UpdatePanel and some dynamically created buttons to perform functions. The problem is that the dynamically created buttons aren't working the same as my test static button, which is behaving exactly as it should be.
So I was wondering if someone would be willing to simply post an example (in VB.NET or C# please) of the following:
An UpdatePanel has a Label and a Placeholder inside of it
The Placeholder has a dynamic button added to it
Clicking on this button will make the Label say "Hi" without performing a full page postback.
If I can just get that much to work, I am sure that the rest of the code will be fine. I just can't seem to get my dynamic buttons to act like my static ones do in an UpdatePanel.

But i want to generate thatlabel control dynamically in the click event of Button. And i want to implement this functionality without page refresh.So i think i need to use AJAX. View 2 RepliesIn one of my Web Page, there is one Modal Pop up, in which I am using Gridview Edit, Update, CancelEdit, Delete functionality.Main functionality is : If while deleting any of the Gridview Row, if only 1 row remains in Gridview (that row can be any row), then that row should not get deleted.Rest of Edit, Update, CancelEdit functionally is working fine.

problem is: When any last row is left in Gridview, its Delete button is disables that time (as per requirement and functionality). But when user clicks on Gridview "Edit" button, update section opens, and at that time "Delete" button gets Enabled, so that time user can delete the last row of Gridview which should not be done.I had fixed this problem for "Cancel" and "Update" button of Gridview using below line:
Response.Redirect(Request.Url.AbsoluteUri); but unable to fix it for "Edit" button of Gridview. If Last row is left in Gridview , and user clicks on Gridview "Edit" button of that row, then at that time "Delete" button should not get "enabled" it should remain "disabled"
I have same problem with .NET 3.5 The button_click event is not working in IE but its working in FireFox. When i went in sourceview of page then i got "ASP.NET Ajax client-side framework failed to load.' I have already deleted my ajaxtoolkit dll referenced it again.

even if i write a code behind sub hide the pop up panel its not working
in my page i dessigned Updatepanel within that i placed some input controls(textbox, dropdownlist etc) within that updatepanel i placed one button. now the problem is on production if i idle some time after enter some data and press the button then the button click event not fired, then i refresh the page enter the input then press button then its fired, what is the problem? and how to resolve it? (i didnt included any triggers)

When the webpage is in Edit mode, I need to warn the user "Do you want to continue, You may lose you changes" with Ok cancel buttons.I want only one ConfrimButtonExtender control, and I can use some kind of delegation. If any of the Navigation links are clicked, I want to call a javascript method which will trigger the click event of the main Orginal extender button. The code works fine. When I click the any of the navigation links, the Extender controls are fired and Confirm popup is shown. But the Issue is Cancel button is not working. If I click the Cancel button, the page still navigates to other pages

Since I was not able to figure out my previous problem I decided to go ahead and make my own update statements and change the update command on a datasource I have. So I have a few textboxes and whatnot that allow you to change data and then click an update button. When I click that update button the page seems to refresh as if it was updating the record but the data in the boxes reverts back to what it was. I also created a ONUpdated sub and the label text change does not show.

if status is red then the button label should change to start.
by default the button label is "button".
