Security :: Using Login Control To Display User Info?

I am using the Login control on my login.aspx page to login to my /Members/Default.aspx page to display their current weight and their goal weight using the DetailsGrid. I have everything setup and I can log in and verify the user login name, but it only give one weight regardless of who logs in. Below is the SQL for the SQL Source on the DetailsGrid. I am new with this, Comparing the UserNames on aspnet_Users.UserName and memInfo.UserName should be able to extract that data, correct? Obviously I'm missing something. :)

I've created a page to add users, using the CreateUserWizard, I use the Login Control to login.
I have setup the config file to use my SQL server, not express

I go to the create user page, add a user.
I can SEE the user on the database using Server Management Studio...
I go to signon and get "Your login attempt was not successful. Please try again."
I have not customized the login control in any way. (OR the createuserwizard)
HOW can I tell where the Login tool is going to get userid and password info?
How can I tell if it is not finding the user or the password does not match?

I have a test form that I've placed the login and loginname tools on. The login portion appears to work correctly in that if the user puts in the wrong info it alerts, if the info is correct all is well and the correct URL is accessed. The problem is that the username control that I placed on the page does not in fact show the username.

I have built a login form that does not use the asp.net 'login' control.
in my code behind i have this:

but this does not seem to maintain my user loged in... as soon as the user navigates to the next page he is loged out again...

I have a master page that holds the loginview content that appears on all subsequent pages based on the master page. i have a username control also nested in the loginview to display the name of the user when they are logged in. the code for the loginview from the master page is displayed as follows:

My authentication works perfectly and the page gets redirected to the designated destination. However, the login view does not display the users name. i actually cant figure out how to pass the users name that i had picked from the database to the login name control to be displayed.
taking a close look i also noticed the logout text that should be displayed after successful log in does not show. that leaves me wondering if the loggedin template control on the masterpage even fires at all or its still the anonymous template control that keeps displaying.?

Here comes the problem validation code is working fine and it validates the user and redirects the user to the "Order.aspx" page
For example: I type
Login Name: Nashy
Password: 1234
Order.aspx page has a textbox which supposed to display the current user login name and i am usiong the following code for that
textbox1.text=Web.HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.Name.tostring()
when i test it on my local PC it shows the current user like this DOMAIN ashyMastrew.. what i want that the textbox should disply "nashy" not my current windows login name. and when i deploy it to the server and access it from other pc textbox does not show anything.

I'm looking for a way to create a login control without the use of web admin tool

Using visual studio 2010.
Dragged and dropped a login control onto a blank content page. Set up my web.config (i'll include the code for that at the end). It seems to want to use a sql database to store the info. I just want to use the web.config since it's just a single user and a simple site. I thought I could just drag and drop the login control to a page and that would be the end of it (besides setting up the web.config).

I have read the post at http://forums.asp.net/t/1403132.aspx regarding login control. Is there a place to store the User logged-in ID (info) for later checking and use? I don't need to use the session object. I don't need the page to expire. I don't need the user to use a page saved in the favoites.
