Editing a web site project with master page in VS2010Ultimate with SP1 and Win7Ultimate 64 bit. Former everything was working fine - all toolbox windows were available when editing master page or aspx page. Now with the master page all toolbox relevant tab were enabled and show - when switching to a aspx page only the HTML tab is shown and enabled. When checking all "Show all" all expected tabs are disabled.
Even the <asp:> namespace is a unrecognized namespace in the aspx file.
When compiling or debugging/running everything is ok.
How can I solve this problem? I'm using Win7 Ultimate 64 Bit, VS2010 Ultimate and IExplorer 9 and the latest updates from Microsoft.

I wrote a test page that does a bunch of busy work in a method called at page load. This process as I have it now takes around 12 seconds.
If I try to load another page while the first long running page is loading, this second page doing nothing except writing out a world, it doesn't load until the first long running page is finished.
Why is this the case? I would think IIS would be able to handle multiple concurrent connections, it seems crazy that one long running page would stop every other page in the application from loading. I must be missing something or not understand how IIS works.
I would think multiple independent requests would be spawned on different threads. Is this only the case if the requests are from different sessions entirely? Are all requests from a single session bound to a single thread?

I have used the following controls in my web page.
1.Menu
2.Multi view
3.view
4.Gridview
But my problem is...whenever i clicks on the menu item it loads particular content individually. I mean if i click on menuitem1 it takes some time to load Gridview1 , after if when i click on menuitem2 again it takes some time to load Gridview2. Is there is any way to load all the menu items content during first time of page load. So that we can avoid loading time while switching over from one menu item(tab) to another.I have used the following code

I am having to rethink my design and in doing so, I've realized that I should probably load an aspx page into a <div> on my main page. If this is possible, what is the code needed to accomplish this?

i have an html page and i want to open it in an .aspx.
I need to made some changes in html before i show that in browser , and i need to make them in memory, so i open and load and make changes to my html Page and , now i need to pass that html string to iframe, but i am not able to do dat from code behind, iframe.innerHtml do not work.
I tried to set innerhtml for a div instead of iframe, that works , but here when browser renders html page, it applies my Html page style sheat on my aspx ( where CSS are defined for body ). Means the CSS for body that is in head of my htmlPage , sets on my aspx page.

I have different projects and libraries for which I've created helpfile with Sandcastle. Now Sandcastle provides also the possibility to create a website.
What I would like to do is to create an aspx-page where I can dynamically create a menu and where the existing helpfile-websites can be sollicited. All in one place.
Is it possible to accomplish this? Maybe some control that I can use to view an entire webpage?

I have a site where I am trying to implement a jQuery UI based MessageBox in my master page. Content pages are arranged accoring to business area folders, i.e. '~/Branding/Contracts.aspx'. I find that when I load such a content page, jQuery, which is referenced in the master page as below, does not load. I assume that this is because the browser is requesting 'Branding/Scripts/jQuery What can I do about this? I don't have the 'root' operator in a plain 'script' tag.
<script src="/Scripts/jquery-1.3.2.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="Scripts/jquery-1.3.2.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="Scripts/jquery-ui-1.7.2.custom.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

I might be wrong about what is actually happening here but i have 3 Html.dropdownlists. And im using jquery to handle filtering which does actually work. However, there is some odd behaviour which i think might be because data isnt finished loading before the next function is called. For instance: Some background. Company: Owns several field offices Field Office: Owns several facilties So logically, when you change company, field offices should change, which then changes facilities.
$(function () {
$(document).ready(function () {
var cid = $("#CompanyId").val();
$.post("/ManifestSearch/GetFilteredFieldOffices", { id: cid }, function (data) {
$("#FieldOfficeId").loadSelect(data);
});
var fid = $("#FieldOfficeId").val();
$.post("/ManifestSearch/GetFilteredFacilities", { id: fid }, function (data) {
$("#FacilityId").loadSelect(data);
});
});
});
Now, when the page loads, everything looks fine. All the dropdownlists have the correct data.
When i change company, this calls.
$(function () {
$('#CompanyId').change(function () {
var cid = $(this).val();
$.post("/ManifestSearch/GetFilteredFieldOffices", { id: cid }, function (data) {
$("#FieldOfficeId").loadSelect(data);
});
var fid = $("#FieldOfficeId").val();
$.post("/ManifestSearch/GetFilteredFacilities", { id: fid }, function (data) {
$("#FacilityId").loadSelect(data);
});
});
});
This changes the field offices to the correct list, however facilities changes to whatever field offices was set to before the company change occured. I dont know enough about jquery to figure out exactly what is going on, but my instinct tells me that the two posts are happening at the same time, and the second post happens before the first one is finished.
