Feb 14, 2011I am using a web method to submit my form data , having Oracle DataBase. And in my local development machine every thing is fine.I am successfully able to submit my form data asynchronously through a web method. But the same project when deployed to test server then while submiting form date there an error occurs as stated above. One field in the table is of DataTime type, and i am inserting server's date into that field, all other fields are of type varchar2 or int. I googled about that but it seems that no one has got such error.

Apr 5, 2010We have created an ASP.NET web app that upload files to WSS Doc Libary. The files get added under 'SYSTEM ACCOUNT' in the library. The FullTextSqlQuery class is used to search the document libary items. But it only searches files that has been uploaded by a windows user account like 'Administrator' and ignores the ones uploaded by 'SYSTEM ACCOUNT'. As a result the search results are empty even though we have the necessary data in the document library. What could be the reason for this?

Nov 16, 2010In Visual Web Developer-2010, I have been trying to connect to IBM DB2 Database after installing the DB2 9.7 client (both supports VS2010/.Net4) so that I can use "ADO.NET Entity Data Model", but while clicking "New Connection" I can only see the list of Data Sources and Data Provider only related to MS SQL server. This is totally blocking my work, I am not able to work further since I cannot even establish the connection to my db2 database using this new editor so that I can create the edmx files in the solution for non MSSQL databases. Kindly provide me the solution ASAP, since my further work is blocking due to this.

Apr 6, 2010the error i'm getting after moving the aspnetdb db for the login control from vs to my iis for testing, see below for how i made the move attach the vs2005/app_data db to the sql express studio, there you can add the myMachine/aspnet user to the sql security users and then the users for the db, and give it db_datareader and db_datawriter permissions. then make sure that both the aspnetdb.mdf and its aspnetdb_log.ldf files have r+w permission for the aspnet account. then copy both files to app_data directory under the application folder in iis.

Crystal Reports :: Unable To Find Data File When Distributed?
May 14, 2010I have a problem that i'm sure will not be hard to fix for anyone who has been using CR for some time.
To start I have created a program in VB2008, that uses a MS Access data file, I can connect to it with no problem and can also add data and amend data, so all seems to work perfectly. I have published it and it once again runs perfectly on another/s machines.
I have now a requirement for a number of reports so have choosen CR for this purpose. I have connected the report to the database and that runs with no problems at all, that is untill I try to run it on another machine, it seems not to be able to find the database and comes up with a panel wanting me to log in with a password and Admin name.
I feel it's proberly a problem with the path of the database, I have tried so many time with diferent data files but with no success.

Jul 7, 2010Trying to explain this clearly. I have a dropdown listbox where user can select multiple names. These names are then selected/inserted into db table in a loop. Table is displayed in an editable gridview. I have a main sqldatasource1 on my aspx page with select/insert/update permissions, but because select command doesnt work with parameters of multiple values (or does it?), i resorted to using an alternative sql datasource in the codebehind in order to run the select query on the multiple values chosen from the dropdownlist to see if they were in my table.I now get this error when I go to select multiple names from the dropdown list
