Actually I want to deploy(run) my asp.net 2.0 application using ajax control toolkit2.0 on remote server. Also I have added all the required dlls to the bin folder. Now apart from that Will i have to install ajax extensions on server(OS- Windows Server 2003, IIS 6.0)

I came across this amazing website built in asp.net and AJAX. Just look at how the pages are. Its amazing. When you add products into shopping cart, it immediately gets added without a postback and there is a sweet little Tooltip that indicates that the item has been added.

I have created a web app using the AJAX Enabled Web App template. I now want to add an advertising banner using an adobe flash file, which requires the use of the "Shockwave flash object" in the Components tab of the toolbox. I have added the relevant .dll file under references but still the option for the control in the toolbox is greyed out.
Is it possible to use the component tools with an AJAX web app?
Are the component tool available when using the express version of Visual Web Developer 2010?

Without selecting SQL database, application is deployed successfully but when I select SQL database it gives following error: Publish : Error - Make sure the database connection string for the server is correct and that you have appropriate permission to access the database. (Web Deploy provider is dbFullSql).

View 14 RepliesI am new to Ajax Control Toolkit, with the help of online tutorials I had created a cascading dropdown list in asp.net and tested it on my local machine. For this dropdown list data source would be an xml file (which is saved on my local machine c drive). I haven't encountered any issues until I deploy the precompiled web site on to IIS 7. When I open the web site from IIS I would see the two dropdown boxes on the web page with an error "Method error 500". I believe this error occured due to incorrect xml file
path provided on IIS. I had copied xml and xsd files into IIS server C drive but it did not help out and then I created a network map and placed the xml and xsd files in that shared folder tried to access that path from web service, it's working on local machine but not on IIS. It would be great, if any one could explain me the solution.
