AJAX :: Refresh Modal Popup Extender Each Time The Button Is Clicked?
Jan 5, 2011I have a user control and inside that user control I have a image button on whose click I am opening a modalpopup extender(which is another user control) I am populating all the values in drop down list and getting all the information i need on the form. The user and go and save the information required on that web form and clicking on cancel would exit the form which would bring the user back to the main user control.
The problems faced:
1.Problem 1: Not refreshing On clicking on tree view one of the nodes I am calling the reload function of parent user control as well as the user control present as popupextender. This click would refresh and fill in the values from the database for user to view and edit. Now when the user clicks on the image button another user control opens up where he can edit the entire values of the form and move back and forth in the records I have put update panels for every block and for the buttons. He can save the information. But when he exits and form and reopens it after a while the values of the form are retained the values which are not saved to the database but the ones which were selected so it is retaining them and not refreshing. How can I force the refresh everytime the button is clicked for modalpopup extender user control.
2. Problem 2 enable/disable buttons I am not able to enable and disable the buttons inside the extender the buttons are in the update panel as well as for the different sections of the form.

Jun 25, 2010I am developing an applicaion for time sheet which uses gridview.
The columns are dynamically generated based upon the start date and end date.Its a biweekly pay period.
Apart from these 15 Day 1 to Day 15 columns there are 5 other columns for different codes which are added to gridview using data table. I have drop down list control for the 5 codes and text boxes for the remaining day 1 to day 15 columns.
Now when the user selects the values from the drop down list and enters the number of hours into the text box using a footer row with a inert link button it should add the values entered to the footer row to the data table data row and then rebind the data table to the data base. I am some how unable to get the values entered by user into the footer following is the code for insert_click event

AJAX :: Calendar Extender When "Cairo +2" Time Is Selected
May 12, 2010We have a website which uses the calendar extender as the default date selection control, we noticed that whenever we try to select the date 30 April 2010, the control refuses and selects the previous date instead "29 April".
this looks so weired, but even trying to do the same with the Ajax Control Toolkit sample website results in the same problem too.
after many many trials, we noticed 2 things that could help you figure out what is the problem :
1- The problem only occures when Cairo local time is selected, any other time is OK.
2- This issue is not occurring in this date only, here what we discoverd
trying to select (30 April 2010) will select (29 April 2010) instead.trying to select (29 April 2011) will select (28 April 2011) instead. trying to select (28 April 2012) is working fine.trying to select (27 April 2012) will select (26 April 2012) instead.To reproduce the issue kindly follow these steps :
1- Change your computer's TimeZone to Cairo +2:00.
2- Try to reach any website which uses the calendar control ( for example

3- Try to select the mentioned dates ( 30 April 2010, 29 April 2011 and 27 April 2012 ) and see the results.

I am developing a new Web Solution where there are some dynamic control on the page.My requirement was to have a gridview this is in one update panel, on clicking on the edit gridrow, it will popup a DetailView which is in a update panel & a modal popup of the row & user can change it & submit it to the main page.Now i have used a Update panel for the detailed view so that i can call a update() on the Detailed View's update panel after binding it to the detailview.Now the detailed view updatepanel also has a drop down & a gridview, so selecting the dropdown it populates the gridview in the updatepanel.Again the dropdown is put in one updatepanel which even contains the gridview & the gridview is in another child updatepanel.The gridview has a checkbox in enabled =true stateNow the issue. When i do a checkbox checked & an autopost the event fires which updates the parent updatepanel & the event is lost in the process & i cannot modify the underlying dataobject.If any one can shed on somelight of where exactly i am going wrong, it would be of extremeI am pasting the code for the aspx file which contains most of the binding in declaraative mode.
