AJAX :: Display ModalPopupExtender ModalPopup After Records Saved (form Submitted)
Sep 20, 2015
I have a submit button that saves record successfully.
The problem i have with it is that it can only show ModalPopupExtender after the first save(first click of the submit button).On the second click of the submit button it doesn't show ModalPopupExtender even though record is saved.How do i go about it.
Here is my markup:
<asp:UpdatePanel runat="server" ID="upMain" UpdateMode="Conditional" ChildrenAsTriggers ="true" >
<ContentTemplate>
<asp:LinkButton ID="lbtn" runat="server" >LinkButton</asp:LinkButton>

I want to use the ajax HTMLEditor, but something is not cleared for me: I understand that I grab the control from the toolbox into my webform, and that everything is done automatically. But, where the data is saved ? How can I take the saved contents and display it in another page ? I thought it should be saved on database. The videos and example I sax don't speak about database. I'm sure that I'm missing something, any missing chain.

I have one text box with a range validator, and a submit button.I also have a confirmbuttonextender and modalpopup.The popup still displays even if there is a form error!
How does this work with validation, since the popup displays when the button is pressed and not when the form is validated correctly?

I have a page with two forms on it. The first form is a "Search" form and does not have the runat="server" attribute. It is merely meant to post some search criteria to another page on the site. The second form is the standard "aspnetForm". Inside that form I have a ModalPopupExtender... Within the ModalPopupExtender there are two buttons that should postback to the server when they are clicked by the user. My problem is that when the buttons are clicked the page posts back to the "Search" form... The only clue I have is that if I move the form to the bottom of the page (after my ModalPopupExtender), everything works fine. It seems that the extender uses the first form it can find on the page. Is there anyway to force it to postback to the correct form?

In my application users submit a certain form. I'd like to email specific people once the form has been submitted. How do I do this? In the code behind? I'd like to create a default email that is sent out after the form has been submitted with information about the form that has just been submitted. I'm writing in VB.

I want to create a web form which display a list of records from a database. I would like these records to display in a control (on the left of the page) which allows selected records to be dragged to a similar control on the right of the page.
What is the best way to achieve this using ASP.NET web forms and C#?

I've been prototyping the use of the ModalPopUpExtender but find that the BackgroundcssClass fills the entire screen even though I have defined the width and height. So when I click on link button the popup fills the entire window and the X/Y positioning has no effect. Other than that the content displays fine. Any thoughts on this issue?

My ComboBox is now rendering its button and results list on top of the ModalPopup panel
[URL] However, the results are showing up completely separate from the textbox. This is bacially the same problem described at [URL] However, forcing the position of the list did nothing and I'm already using the very latest (release) build of the toolkit (so alaa9jo's post about it being fixed in the November 2009 build isn't true for my instance).
I need the combobox functionality for my form.
why the scrollbars in comboboxes choose to show sometimes and not other? My main combobox is missing them, but the combobox reference above has them. Both use the same CSS settings and databindings; the only difference is that the one with scrollbars is inside the ModalPopup.

I have created a .aspx page that contains a web form. The information in the form is submitted to a companies web site and once accepted is manipulated by the company.
This all works wonderful.
My problem is that once the data submitted to their site my page receives a response code. (1 = Member Added, 2 = Updated Member...)
How do I go about capturing this response code? Currently I end up with a blank page and a number in the upper left corner.

Its hard to describe in short what i would like to do.
I have a form that a user fills and then submits the data into a database, it needs to be approved in several places before its finalized. It sends out an email with information to the approver, what i would like is a link in the email so that the approver is swiftly taken to the next step in the process.
The next step in the process looks something like this
http://localhost:2876/CPNCMS/visitoraccess/InitApprove.aspx?Id=22
the sql submission looks like this

I have a webform (parent) with embedded webgrid(child) which uses sqldatasource. What I wanted to accomplish is to save both the form data and the grid data when the Save button is clicked. I tried to save form data(parent) in sqldatasource1_inserting event, does not work. I think there should be a way to do it, just do not know how.

As far as I can see, the following code should make an AsyncFileUpload display in ModalPopupExtender. The MPE shows fine but the AsyncFileUpload doesn't load inside it. I also tried removing the update panel and putting the divs both inside and outside of the update panel, all with the same (lack of) results. And the AsyncFileUpload displays and works outside of the MPE.
In ListView EditItemTemplate:

After ListView closing tag:

I'm using asp.net and c# to build a web application. I'm trying to display a popup message using the ModalPopup extender. The message displays fine only if it sets in client side or in server side but inside Page_Load. Otherwise, it displays as empty. the popup comes up without the message.
The thing is that i want to change the meesages when i call its show() method.
client side:
<asp:Panel ID="pnlMsg" runat="server" CssClass="modalPopup">
<asp:Label ID="lblModalMsg" runat="server" ></asp:Label>
<asp:Button ID="btnOk" runat="server" Text="OK" />
</asp:Panel>
<asp:ModalPopupExtender ID="ModalPopupExtender1" runat="server" TargetControlID="hidForModel"

I've got my validation wired up through my Service layer, and my Birthdate property looks like this.
[Code]....
The client side validation works properly if I input something like `12/12/1990` but when the form is submitted, the server side validation trips and I'm told the entry is invalid. I'm using the jQuery-UI Datepicker to input the date, however when I disable the datepicker, the problem persists.Am I missing something here? I thought the client side and server side would be the same thing.If I remove
[Code]....
Then the form submits. It's obviously something to do with the Regex.

Using StringBuilder im building my object in code behind so its customize for our needs.. I placed a Literal control within the modalpopup and populating it when you click on a button..On my test page everything works great to display it and when fed a value video file, it plays.. on that page, it wasnt contained within a modalpopup.Now on my actual dev page that i need it on, i placed the literal control within the modalpopup, and when you click on the button, it builds the object..my modal popup comes up and everything shows up except the object which is weird, because within the stringbuilder i have 4 buttons below the object and those show up, just not the object control itself.. can a object not be built and displayed like this?What makes it weirder is that when the modal popup opens, you can view the source of the page and my entire customize object control is there, but it just doesnt render on the page..

On one of my pages I've got a popup window implemented using the ModalPopupExtender. The content html of the popup is retrieved from a webservice dynamically (using DynamicServicePath, DynamicServiceMethod properties of the extender). Everything works fine, however there is a minor problem: web service call takes about 2 seconds and the popup panel is blank during this time, which confuses the users. I would like to display 'Loading...' message in the popup window (or an animated image, does not really matter) during the webservice call. Is there a way to do it?

Using ASP.NET VB, I have a form with some text boxes and a Gridview. If a user clicks the Edit button on a row in the gridview, and then tries to submit the form with a row still in edit mode on the Gridview, this error is generated -
"Invalid postback or callback argument. Event validation is enabled using in configuration or <%@ Page EnableEventValidation="true" %> in a page. For security purposes, this feature verifies that arguments to postback or callback events originate from the server control that originally rendered them. If the data is valid and expected, use the ClientScriptManager.RegisterForEventValidation method in order to register the postback or callback data for validation. "
