I have used Ajax tab control and in that i have used textchanged event for Date of birth field, when i enter the date of birth it automatically generates the age in next field. After the postback the tab control goes back to the beginning field.

I have a custom control that has a hidden field. Upon postback I want to obtain the value stored in it, but it's always an empty string.I am performing client-side manipulation of the hidden field values and have verified in firebug that the fields are correct before issue a post back,Here is the setup:

When I click the button to open the modal popup it shows the popup but then continues and forces a postback causing the page to reload and the modal popup to be hidden again.Here is the markup for the control:

My script manager has no properties other than the id and runat set.
In my default.aspx page I have a PlaceHolder control within an UpdatePanel. In this placeholder control I will dynamically load a web user control, which is just a form with a submit button. On this user control, I have the form within an update panel and I have the "Submit" button's Click Event added to the triggers.
When I submit the form, the UpdatePanel on the web user control nor the update panel on the default.aspx page are capturing the post back, thus causing a full post back which refreshes my page.
how to capture this post so its rendered in Ajax and not a full post back?
I am using an AsyncFileUpload control in my asp.net page.This control in inside an update panel.Any post back(like some treeview loading,combo selection in which i needs postback) appear in that page makes the AsyncFileUpload control text area gets cleared.Is there any solution to retain the selected file name in the AsyncFileUpload control after the postback.

When focus is set to the field, you get this: $ __,___.__ the cursor is to the left of the period and and you can enter any amount and if you type "period" it will move to the cents section. When tested, if you enter 55555 and tab out to another field everything is fine, but the field looks like this.. $ 55,555.__ now any posts that occur change this example to $ 50,000.00 does anyone know why and how i can fix this?

I am using the RegularExpressionValidator control inside an Update panel. It works perfectly when I load the page the first time, but after a postback it doesn't work.
Let's say that after the first postback I include invalid characters in the textbox and run an new post back, I shows that the result is invalid...

I have an accordian with 4 panes. These panes are designed to submit data. I default to the 1st pane. When I submit the 1st panel, the data is submitted to the database as expected. When I attempt to submit to the 3rd panel, the button does not fire the code behind. Is there a reason the 1st panel would work but not the 3rd? I've included the code used to call code behind for the 1st and 2nd panels.

I have taken one accordion inside that multiple accordionpane in that have taken mutiple linkbutton's inside panes but the thing is when i m clicking on any linkbutton of second pane.the page related to that is opening but the second pane get's collapsed and first one get's opened.
So, I want any of the linkbutton clicked of any accordionpane, that accordionpane should be remain opened.
I work with ModalPopupExtender (ajax control toolkit) asp.net
that is to say that a popup appears which contain one panel with 2 DropDownList (DropDownList1, DropDownList2)price starting from DropDownList1 the DropDownList filled due to the code behind.
My problem is that when I click on the DropDownList1 ModalPopupExtender that contain the Panel is gone because of AutoPostBack = "True" of DropDownList1.

I need to upload files without the postback. So far i know that i can use an UpdatePanel with an AsyncFileUpload to achieve this, and it works fine, but this is not enough for me. Turns out that i need the fileupload control to be invisible until the user press a button. then i have to show the file upload control also without the postback, that's why i'm using the updatepanel. To acomplish this i'm using the following code:

if i don't use the normal panel it works fine, but when i put that control, it doesn't work. By "doesn't work" what i whant to say is that it doesn't fire the OnUploadedComplete method.
In my base page, I have a dropdownlist control which loads different usercontrols on selectedindexchanged event.
While loading these usercontrols, my page postbacks all the page. I used updatepanel but again same problem.
Is there any way to load controls without postback?

I'm using an UpdatePanel (with UpdateMode conditional) and in the ContentTemplate I've got a Login control. Even though the control is embedded in the UpdatePanel as soon as the Login-button is hit a full page postback is being done. I've read some posts on the subject indicating that these controls are incompatible - but these posts already date from 2 years ago. Does anybody have more recent information on the subject?

I will Explain what i want in Details ... After reterving data from database i set focus on other textbox of STDCode.But the problem with ie7,ie8 browser is that the focus comes on control but i can't write anything in stdcode textbox untill i move to another textbox. When i come back from another textbox i can write in stdcode textbox.Problem gets occured only in IE7,Ie8 browsers only.Here is design file of that page.

I put the custom control into an update panel. So far so good. When I click on different buttons (in ucc:ConfigTree) or the treeview in the custom control an async postback is done. When clicking on a node in the treeview an event for the parent element (ConfigTree) is generated, which populates again an event (NodeSelected) for the parent element (shown below). Different parent elements can handle the event differently. In one element (this one) I need to transform the async postback in a real postback with full page refresh. For better understanding see the following code:

the parent element (here shown) should process the OnNodeSelected and transform it into an full postback and not just an async postback, but only this event, all the other events in the ucc:ConfigTree should processed async. How can I do that? Is there a method to call in the code behind?

My <input id="FileUpload1" name="FileUpload1" type="file"> and country dropdown both are inside update panel , now on selectedindexchanged it do postback , which i am triggering in update panel to avoid page refresh .
Now the problem is when i select any image in fileupload and then select country , my selectedimage vanishes but its path stays in textbox .

This upload is working. But why the page is getting refreshed? this is not partial post back and instead it 's full post back. i have read the articles for the fileuplaod with issue inside the update panel. is there any way to achieve this asynchronous upload on button click?
I don't want to use the Ajaxtoolkit Asyncupload because that will upload (Ref : [URL] ....] the moment when we seelct the file itself which i don't want to do that. i need to do on the button click event.
