View 3 RepliesI am creating nested accordion using the object model and have created buttons in the inner accordion's accordion pane. The buttons look great but issue is that the buttons does not fire thier click event. They just do the postback of the page and ignore the event.
I want to show a pop-upextender on the pre_init event but all my panes are added dynamically so it does not give any rows.

I am having a problem setting up the width and height of my textbox inside of my accordion panel. Does not make any sense because my code executes correctly but then does not change the value of the control on client side.I pass a control into this function and iterate through the control to locate more controls.

i have a list of accordionpane as follows:
<cc1:accordion id="accordion1" runat="server">
<panes>
<cc1:accordionpane id="pane1" runat="server">

now i want to make the top corners round for the pane1 only. can any one please guide me how to do it?? how can it be done by ajaxtoolkit RoundedCornersExtender?
I am facing a problem concerning gridview inside AccordionPane:using Visual Studio .Net 2010 designing Asp .Net Web Application (.net 4) using ajax Control toolit (.net 4 and have tried with .net 3.5 version)
When I insert a gridview inside the an accordionpane content everything seems OK. However, changing the SQLDatasource configuration, or even the Griview's colums, no code is written in the aspx web page. That concludes to the fact that: in design mode i can see everything, at runtime nothing appears. In designer's view the gridview renders fine, but when at source view, nothing is written. If I change gridview's and SQLDatasource position outside the Accordion, everything is working perfectly, including the sourceview update in the aspx page.
I have the following code in Page_Init (actually in a function called by Page_Init in response to a __doPostBack call)
System.Web.UI.WebControls.DropDownList ddlGroup = new System.Web.UI.WebControls.DropDownList();
rowString = rowNumber.ToString();
I have an aspx page with multiple modal popups. These modal popups are trigger in the page behind code using .Show() and .Hide().
This is what I have in the .aspx page for the particular modal popup under discussion:
[Code]....
The example below demonstrates the type of calls I am making to the modal popup extenders. Basically using the Datalist item command, the datalist commands are responsible for triggering my modal popups.
[Code]....
They all work fine after postbacks except the "activityReport" case (the last one). The only difference with this modal popup is that it contains a user control and all the postbacks are happening in the user control. So the problem is that in the last case whenever a postback happens in the user control then the modal popup is close.
1. If I separate the modal popup and place it in a page all by itself and trigger it to .Show() through a button click in the page behind code then the modal popup doesn't close. See below example.
[Code]....
2. The button click event in the test page looks as follow:

On postback, how can I check which control cause postback in Page_Init event.
protected void Page_Init(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
//need to check here which control cause postback?
}
I'm using the Accordion control but i have some troubles while combine it with my custom UserControl.When i'm tring to add my UserControl to the Content property of the AccordionPane, it's not working.Also, it's doesnt throw any exception. It's just not look like doin what im ask for.My custom UserControl (named: "MailAddress.ascx") is pretty empty of value. it's just contain "<p>blabla</p>". I'm sure that it's working (added it manually to my webpage and it's working.The next code is creating the AccordionPane dynamicly:
[Code]....
The first question is that possible to use custom UserControl as a content of AccordionPane?
When I add a combobox inside an accordionpane i cannot see the button and the list except for the pane selected by default.
View 5 RepliesI'm a novice in ASP.NET and AJAX Toolkit but i made some tryes and looks like very nice!I was trying to build an accordion pane fetching data from database and decided to use item repearter.So i wrote this code
[Code]....
<asp:SqlDataSource ID="sqlsedi" runat="server" ConnectionString="$ ConnectionStrings:ConnToRead">
I have a disabled label, where I stored a record count for each query, and was wondering how to change my code, where it displays the value of the label, instead of the lable name?Example:
<AjaxControlToolkit:AccordionPane ID="AccordionPane1" runat="server">
<Header>
<a href="" onclick="return false;" class="accordionLink"> Total Records: lbl_RecordCount.Text.Value</a>
</Header>
What is the best way of limit the size of an Accordion Pane when it contains a lot of data? I have an Accordion defined in the ASP which I'm building dynamically in the code behind,at present I'm just adding Literals to the pane (basically records from the db) The data I'm using generates four panes which contain 86, 4, 500 & 132 rows each. I was wondering if it's feasible to limit the rows being displayed by the Accordion Pane when the rows are greater than 20 but below that number have the size set to auto?

I want to add AccordionPane dynamically using Javascript, so that the new panel added would also have the textbox (txtFirstName) in it. The ContentTemplate has more controls than txtFirstName textbox.
The Accordion control is databound.
The following is the code.
<ajaxToolkit:Accordion id="accSingleData" runat="server" fadetransitions="True" selectedindex="0" Width = "500px"
I am using Accordion with multiple AccordionPane. Each AccordionPane has a form tag that contains asp controls such as dropdownlist and textboxes and buttons to submit or cancel. Each asp control has a requiredFieldValidator assign to it. However when a i am in a particular AccordionPane to submit the form, the validator for other fields in other fields is highlighted preventing me from submitting.
View 5 RepliesI change use this java script [URL] to disenable a single AccordionPane in an Accordion, can i get a javscript that disables mutiple accordion panes?
View 1 RepliesI add a gridview into a accordionpane in a accordion. And I bind data to this gridview and define a column as a datakeyname and make it un-visible. However when I get the datakeys[index] in the behind code, there is an error that "Index was out of range".But I am sure the index is not out of the range, and when i debug i see the count of the datakeys is 0
I don't know why this error happens?
I have a series of controls that I need to get and set the content for inside an accordionpane.how do I get/set these values through javaScript?

For example,how do I get/set the value of the crsZoom TextBox via javaScript?GetElementByID doesn't seem to work as expected inside the panes.
I have a link button embedded in a repeater but I can't figure out how to get the exact postback reference of the control so I can access it in JavaScript. Bear in mind this code is a little pseudocodish/partial anyway and I am fixing someone else's code.
I just can't seem to get the right postback JavaScript - the form posts but doesn't fire the item command event or pass the
Protected Sub repResults_ItemDataBound(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Web.UI.WebControls.RepeaterItemEventArgs) Handles repResults.ItemDataBound
Dim hypInsertBCard As LinkButton = e.Item.FindControl("hypInsertBCard")
Dim myPostBackOptions As PostBackOptions = New PostBackOptions(hypInsertBCard)
myPostBackOptions.AutoPostBack = True
myPostBackOptions.RequiresJavaScriptProtocol = True
myPostBackOptions.PerformValidation = False
Dim strRef As String = ClientScript.GetPostBackEventReference(myPostBackOptions)
hypInsertBCard.Attributes.Add("onkeypress", strRef)
End Sub
When I click a server side control, such as linkbutton, I have to do something on Page_Init or Page_Load. How do I find the right LinkButton if I have many LinkButtons in this page. You know that Page_Init or Page_Load is execute before LinkButton_Click.
View 4 RepliesI know this topic has been posted before but I'm stuck on it still.I've placed creating of dynamic control on Page_Load but the event isn't firing.On my asp page, i have <asp:PlaceHolder ID="test" runat="server/>On my code behind, I have private display method.
private void DisplayButton() {
LinkButton btn = new LinkButton();
btn.ID="unit_1";

I know silverlight page doesn't make postback itself but does event fired from silverlight control postback whole asp.net page If this silverlight,control embedded in aspx page?
View 2 RepliesI have a control which has an ImageButton which is tied to an OnClick event... Upon clicking this control, a postback is performed and the event handler is not called. AutoEventWireup is set to true, and I've double checked spelling etc.... We haven't touched this control in over a year and it has been working fine until a couple of weeks ago.
We have made changes to controls which load this control... so I'm wondering, what kind of changes could we have made to stop this event handler from being called? There is quite a bit of Javascript going on, so this could be the culprit too...
I have a web application that shows a page containing between 6 and 20 UpdatePanels, contained with Custom Web (.ascx) Controls.
You can see an example of such a page here: [URL]
The problem I'm getting is that when the user FIRST clicks any of the radio-buttons on any of the controls in the page, ALL the radio buttons that have an active selection ALSO fire an rb_CheckChanged event (see application log below). On subsequent radio-button clicks, only that RB fires the event (as expected).
This behaviour is having a dramatic impact on performance. The page loads quickly, and a "normal" RB click provides an AJAX update correctly within 1 second. The problematic first RB click, however, takes up to SIX seconds to process, which is unacceptable from a user experience standpoint.
Developed in VS.NET 2008, ASP.NET 3.5. Also I converted the "Web Site" solution to a "Web Application" (pre-compiled) and got the same performance (still too slow). Release builds run only marginally faster than debug builds.
Why would a single RB selection change cause all RB's that have a "selection" set on them to also fire? (The "selection" is determined through database settings every time the control is populated, which is called from within the parent page control's Page_Load function. This selection is determined also at first page load, since all the controls get populated then, so why would the clicking of an RB cause them all to fire an event, and only once? That's what I don't get...)

I need a Slider that will only postback when the slider has been moved. Can this be achieved with SliderExtender?
I have a TextBox with autopostback=true, within an updatepanel within a usercontrol. The TextBox is extended by SliderExtender (default settings).
The TextBox's TextChanged event fires perfectly when the slider is moved (MouseUp - standard extender setting). The aspx page is partially posted back, and all is well.
However, if another usercontrol on the same aspx page causes a partial postback, the SliderExtender causes the TextChanged event to be raised - for no aparent reason. This is causing problems.
Is it possible to prevent postback unless the slider has actually been moved?!
