I have one very weird problem with ModalPopupExtender. First here is the code:

Situation is that after panel is UP, at the some moment I can see same panel in background on the bottom of the page. I am not sure why panel become visible??
I have a ModalPopupExtender that I call when the user click on a button. In the popup, I have a textbox where I want to put today's date, but I only want to do it when ModalPopupExtender shows (or when the user click on the button). The problem is the click event of the button isn't fired on server side when I clicked on the button and ModalPopupExtender doesn't have any Show event.

I am trying to do a simple thing using asp.net. I wanna show a modal popup panel from a server procedure with vb.net.
The error is: The popup don´t show when I click cmdTest Button.
OBS: I used cmdTest just to call the procedure. In my project, one button call a procedure that will or not call other procedure that will or not show the panel.

I have a panel displayed using modalpopupextender, which contains buttons that i want to hide before results are displayed.
However, using button.visible=false cannot work. I do not know the reason for it. Do anyone know how to hide the buttons in the panel for modalpopupextender?
I have a webpage that contains a ModalPopupExtender who's PopupControlID contains a panel wrapped in an update panel. The panel contains a RadioButtonList and I have subscribed to the SelectedIndexChanged event in which I am setting an OnClientClick event for a button also inside the panel and update panel. My problem is that when the postback fires the controls in the panel are still enabled, that is the user can click the button before it has had a chance to set the OnClientClick code. Other update panels on this page (unrelated to the ModalPopup) seem to disable to use of other controls while the postback is occurring. How can I make this work in my ModalPopupExtender?

View 6 RepliesI have a user control (ascx) vs 2010 that contains a modalpopup extender thats popup control is an asp:panel. In that Panel I have an update panel and a contenttemplate inside the upd panel. It is a pretty simple example of its use, in that I have list box allowing the users to create a new row in a table.
However, when I click targetcontrol, the background changes to the expended modal background, but instead of being able to use the listbox, everything in the content panel is the same as the background and none of the controls on the panel are enabled. In other words, the entire page is loaded dimgray, including the updatearea.
I use ajaxToolkit:ModalPopupExtender to show a modal window panel. The panel among other things contains a "Submit" button. I would like to call a code behind function on Submit. First I tried this:

But btnSubmitOnHold_Click() is never called. Then I replaced OnClick="btnSubmitOnHold_Click" with OnClientClick="SubmitPutOnHold" and added

But I can't find a way to get the Model SelectedValue and SelectedItem when Select is clicked. After it's selected it has to be filled in the Autofield on the background, and when close is pressed the original value has to be reloaded.

I'm using a Update panel in Asp.net.  I am having update progress for which I have set a DIV and set a CSS for it.
The issue is when I call it, it will show the Progress bar but I can scroll the window and there are link in grid which I can click.
I want no operation to be done till update progress running  ...Â
My tool box shows the same tools about 12 times. This is for all of them and for all categories. I tried repairing it but it didn't work.

I have an ASPX page with two UpdatePanels, one on the left that holds a TreeView and other on the right where I load dynamically user controls.
On the left panel I also have buttons to load user controls on the right. I have a ModalPopupExtender in a button that show I div with radiobuttons to select a type. When I choose an option and click ok it do a postback to load dynamically a user control but instead of dissapear these modal panel it appers on the bottom left corner of the page.
What's happening? I think it is about dynamic load.

Here is my question. I have textboxes in a modal popup extender (City, state, zip) and there is an image button search for searching the address from the database. All this functionality is within a control (.ascx file). This control is added to the page where it needs to be displayed and is being displayed when a user click the Address button (the code for it is not shown here). The method ShowAddressSearch() in the control is being called from the page and it displays the popup.
When the user enters any of the 3 values and hits search a server event is fired up and the result should be displayed in a grid. What is happening is, when the user hits the search button the server call is made and the data fetched from the db but the modal popup closes itself here is the code for this. I would really appreciate if someone can find out where and how popup is getting closed.

When I click imagebutton1, it opens up the panel and within that panel there is a grid which loads with the information. However, when I click Imagebutton2 it opens up the panel but does not display the gridview even though that gridview tag is under that panel.

I have a modal popup extender with one control (ascx) this control has a label that on onclic method call other popup extender.
It's has other ascx, it's has a button for a search. When I do Click in this button in first time, the event click not fired and there are a javascript error that say "this._activeDRagVisual is null reference".
In the other hand, If a use de second popup inside an asp page the event and control work correctly. The problem is with the popup inside popup.
I have a test page with links that open a panel modally (using AJAXControlToolkit: ModalPopupExtender). I am using an update panel. After clicking any of the links about 10 times, the popup is shown buried under the links (and is not accessible). When I limit the content on the page, the number of times is extended. My thought is that this may be a "data limit" in relation to the update panel, as this works fine when the update panel is removed. I would love to post the code, but this form won't let me. I can certainly send the webform if anyone is interested.

When the modal box is shown, I'd like the cursor to be placed in the txtFirst textbox. How do I do this? I've had trouble with registerscript commands before, so if one is needed, I hope the syntax, if you provide it, is correct.

Also, how could I change the above code so that the modal dialog was displayed as a result of a selection of a dropdownlist item? If I set the targetcontrolid="DropDownList1", the dialog box is display when it drops rather than when a selection is made

My question is when I click in any button AddFile, RemvFile, Upload there's a postback so the page is reloaded and the modalpopupextender disapears Is there a way to to troubleshoot this?
