AJAX :: Show Smart Tag Disabled - No Add Extender Option

I am running vs2010, added the ajax toolkit. I can get form control to drag onto forms and run (ie the editor) but cannot get calender extender to work. I manually added it to the code. set the target id. No calender when ran. But the smarttag will appear on the textbox with the only option of remove extender. Why are the smart tags not working. The show smart tag option is disabled on the right click context menu of the textbox.

I installed VS 08. and then installed Ajax extensions 1.0. I also downloaded ajax control toolkit and added to my toolbox. And I placed scriptmanager on the designer. Now when I am trying to add functionality to standard button via smart tag option. I see this option disabled. how can I enable it and have extenders in play.

I just downloaded AjaxControlToolkit and followed [URL] to install it. Then I tried to follow [URL] to learn how to use the toolkit. But no matter what I do I'm stuck at adding an Extender. I added a ScriptManager and a button to the page as instructed but when I click on the button, there is no smart tag ("Show Smart Tag" is disabled"). I thought it might be the button so I tried Calendar and all I get is the "Auto Format" smart tag.

Using VB 2008 and AjaxControlToolkit, when right clicking a control, the smart tag option is always greyed out.
Is this a bug in 2008 or something related to using the Ajax controls?

I have calendar extender in asp panel which is in updatepanel. These asp panels are switched through two radio buttons.First time calendar displays well, but if we switch to other panel and come back to same, the format changes.I have analysed that CalendarExtender renders class="bgcolor_weekend" properly on page load first time, but when some action is done (check box switched to show one panel and hide another) while being in updatepanel, it simply does not enderlass="bgcolor_weekend" on weekend column.

I'm using VWD2008, I just downloaded AJAX Control Toolkit 3.5 and installed it following the steps in the official site but can't find "Add Extender" option. I also have another problem that I cant fine the "EnableHistory" property in scriptmanager control properties.

I have a user control (ascx) vs 2010 that contains a modalpopup extender thats popup control is an asp:panel. In that Panel I have an update panel and a contenttemplate inside the upd panel. It is a pretty simple example of its use, in that I have list box allowing the users to create a new row in a table.
However, when I click targetcontrol, the background changes to the expended modal background, but instead of being able to use the listbox, everything in the content panel is the same as the background and none of the controls on the panel are enabled. In other words, the entire page is loaded dimgray, including the updatearea.

I need a develop a smart dropdown list for an inhouse application
Let assume, i have a dropdownlist with the following values:
ABC
EDF
XYZ
A123
B456
Now when the user types A in the drpdownlist (we can type anything onthe dropdownlist, but we can superimpose a textbox on it), the dropdwn list should sort itself and show only ABC and A123.

I wanna use calender extender, but with 2 modifications.
1.) The calender itself must contain the 2 dropdown lists (one for year and other for month) and below these 2 lists there are dates (1 through 31) on selecting that the calender disappeares.
2.) Is it possible to have calender show only few years for example if I use calender for Age purpose then I want users to select only 1920 through 2000 so calender shows only those no of years.

I have a question about watermark extender. I used it to apply to a password textbox and confirm password textbox with password text mode. I found some site recomending using picture so that the word "Password" and "Confirm Password" will be shown in the textbox. For some reason, in the confirm password textbox, the picture doesn't show correctly. It is like some part is omitted. I try to check on my local computer and it was fine. But when I check on my computer at home. I got that weird problem. Why is it like that?

On my aspx page I have a slidshow extender.
In the code behind I am filling a data table from the datbase and using GetSlides() Method to show the images in the slideshow.
The problem is I have a file upload control on the page as well. When I upload a new file I am expecting it to show in the slideshow after
postback but it does not. Only when I click refresh again or cause another postback the second time does the new image show.

I have two text boxes on the webform , first textbox contains balloon popup control it was appearing when ever it gets focus,after pressing tab focus is going to next control it doesn't have balloon pop up,but balloon popup is not disappearing after loosing the focus ? how can i hide balloon pop up when its losses focus

I have DotnetNuke loaded in Visual studio 2010. The 'use custom server' option under 'Start Options' is disabled. Why is it disabled?
What does 'Use Default Web server' default to? How do I change what the default is?
In earlier versions of VS i was able to switch between IIS and the internal web server (Cassini). Now it's more confusing in VS 2010!
Would the project type, Web Application Project vs Web Site project, affect the setting?
