I have a pager template in a formview which shows the Prev, Next button and the number of pages. I want to make the Prev or the Next button disable when there are no more pages to go. Like, if it is the first page, then the Prev button will be disabled.
<PagerSettings
Mode="NextPreviousFirstLast"

disable back button on my asp.net application. I Should not be able to go back to my previous page after I logout.

I have read that you can not disable the back button on page load but I can clear the cashe on page load so the back button would then be greyed out. I have read a few articles on this and I am unable to get it working. I am using MS visual web developer 2010.
View 2 RepliesI was just typing on an old site of mine that requires the constant contact method that uses threading and an update panel to prevent users from being logged out since despite setting the timeout period in web.config to what mathematically should be millions of minutes people still seem to get logged out after like 5 minutes. I tried the web service method, but it was ineffective.
The constant contact with an update panel accomplishes its primary objective well, however when a user clicks on their keyboards back button at the wrong time they get redirected to the previous page and if they click the forward button in their browser the page contains none of their typed data.
Is there a way to override whatever causes the backspace button to do this?
I'm using ajax 3 tab panels on my web page, whenever my web page is loaded i need to disable rest 2 tabs (to grey out with no click events).
when i tried to do this from server side, the tabs are completely hidden instead of disabling. My actual requirement is to use tab container as asp wizard control.
i'll be having form fields in my first tab with submit button, when the submit button is clicked, then the disabled second tab will be enabled and in the the second tab when submit button is clicked the third tabpanel needs to be enabled just as a wizard control.
i can use wizard control but, i'vent found any styled asp.net wizard control. How can i disable rest of the 2 tabs when the page is loaded.
I am using ASP.Net AjaxControllTookit Tab Container and I have 9 tabs , on each tab panel i have some asp elements and a "prev" and "next" asp buttons. How to navigate next or prev on these asp buttons clicks.
I already try the c# code :
TabContainer1.ActiveTab = TabContainer1.Tabs[2];
I'm using a wizard control with 4 steps, when I use the previous button to navigate back to the previous step the page reloads but at the bottom of the page.Instead of showning the whole of the page, the user views the footer of the site and the previous button and next button.I'm sure there is a very simple answer to this but I just can't figure out how to get the page to reload to the top.

I am using SlideHowExtender in MVC application. It is not working. I have put the same code in simple .aspx page it is working properly in same application.

On my current project I want to deny going back once my customers hit submit button and redirected to the final page. How can I deny from going back to previous page or some mechanism to expire the page if the back button is clicked. I tried this code and it didn't work
page.response.cache.setcacheability(httpcacheability.nocache)
I'm using Visual Studio 2010.
Are there any step by step tutorials on how to use the SlideSHowExtender to create a slideshow?
I have had a look before posting but couldn't find any step by step info.
Each time I try to drag the SlideShowExtender to a web form I get a round black circle with a black line through the middle, in other words it won't let me use it and I must be trying to use this control incorrectly.
This was programmer error - a problem with my SQL. I am populating a slideshow extender control successfully from a list of images maintain din a MySQL database. I have created a "back" button that executes the following javascript:
[Code]....
This correctly goes back to my web service method that fetches rows from my database. I issue an "order by" in the SQL to sort the rows returned in descending tiome order and have verified that they populate the slide array in that order. However, when the page renders, the slideshow appears to play them in almost a random order. Is there any trick to getting images in a slideshow array to play in a particular order?
How to sop SlideShowExtender Programmatically and Can use Target Control Image to View in it Other Pics by passing Image URL to it by code
View 2 RepliesI keep on drawing this error:Sys.Net.WebServiceFailedException: The server method 'GetPhotos' failed with the following error: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException-- The parameterized query '(@ImageAlbumGUID nvarchar(100))SELECT * FROM [Image] WHERE [Image' expects the parameter '@ImageAlbumGUID',which was not suppliedI understand how it is drawing it, When I skip creating an album It does not create an ID, so instead I would like to show a default image not from the db. I have been trying to figure out if @ImageAlbumGUID is nothing then the show image.

Recently I had to create a slideshow using the AJAX SlideShowExtender. One of the requirements was to have the images show up in a random order so visitors won't see the same slides over and over again. To do this I added some code to the GetSlides() function to reorder the slide array randomly. Here's the code:
[System.Web.Services.WebMethod]
[System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptMethod]
public static AjaxControlToolkit.Slide[] GetSlides()
{
AjaxControlToolkit.Slide[] mySlide = new AjaxControlToolkit.Slide[]

My problem is that I have a TextBox with AutoComplete Extender and It's works but The browser save the text that i have Entered before so when i start writing to My text Box I have Two lists appear , one from the browser and one from the autocomplete
I want to disable the browser list and keep the autocomplete list only.
we have a web form with check boxes on.
When we click our back button the page only returns to the previous state (un checking the check boxes one by one after each click). We would like it to go back to the previous page and remember the history of the page.
I've tried :
[Code]....
but this just crashes the page.
our javascript button looks like this:
<input type="button" value="Back" onclick="history.go(-1)" />
(the browser back button does the same thing)
I want to disable a button when ever user clicks on that. My button present inside the Updatepanel control AJAXI tried with the OnClientClick="javascript:$get(btnUpdate).disabled=true;" button is disabling but that is not calling btnUpdate_Click() server side logic. Please suggest me how to do this.I need to disable button when ever user clicks first time and I need also btnUpdate_Click() logic please adavice me.

I'm using the slide show extender and want to combine it with some effects (e.g. fadeout of old picture / fadeIn new picture on picture change).
How do I do this? Can I combine the SlideshowExtender with the AnimationExtender control?
I have been struggled for a day without success. Also I am not sure is this possible, since I am not too familiar with Javascript. let me know is there a way to fix my problem. Here is my problem:
What I have is a datalist and at each row it contain an UpdatePanel and inside the UpdatePanel there are a button, a slideShowExtender with related controls and a hiddenField. The hiddenField stored a second contextKey value. At page load time the default contextkey already assigned to the slideShowExtender. What I want to achieve is when user clicked the button the slideShowExtender will switch the Contextkey with the hiddenField value so that the SlideShowExtender will display a new set of images.
So far I can make everything work as I want with server side function, which executed when the button onclick. However this will generate a whole page post back, which I want to avoid. So I was thinking of using client side Javascript to do the contextkey assign and then update the updatePanel, but I am not too familiar with Javascript so I can't get it working :(
Here is my current code:

I'll start off by stating that I've read numerous posts with the same or similar errors but haven't found anything to solve my issue. I'm getting a lengthy error message:
Sys.Net.WebServiceFailedException. The server method'GetSlides' failed witht he following error: <html>
<head> <title>Unknown web method GetSlides<br> ....
I appreciate any insight. See inserted code.
