How To Disable The Previous Or Next Button On A Pager Template When There Is No Data
Oct 4, 2010
I have a pager template in a formview which shows the Prev, Next button and the number of pages. I want to make the Prev or the Next button disable when there are no more pages to go. Like, if it is the first page, then the Prev button will be disabled.
title says all. I guess we all get into situation like this one on daily basis. Pager as UI is useless if there is less than PageSize items in DataObject binded to ListView or other types of Dababindable objects.
I have a GridView with custom pager template. I use SqlDataSource with a dynamically generated select query.
To make application faster, I want to select not all records, but as many as fit in a GridView page. But in this case, the pager section doesn't show up. Could anybody suggest how I can fix that? Some people say I should do my own pager template, but I don't know neither how to make it, nor how to use it.
I have a grid view, that when bound, if the UserID isn't the same as the ID of the person who added a meeting, that I don't want to let that person edit or delete the meeting. (Since they didn't add it, they can't edit/delete it)
I have my gridview set up with template fields, and can determine if the UserID matches, but I can't figure out how to disable or hide this first column in the gridview for a specific row.
I'm using a wizard control with 4 steps, when I use the previous button to navigate back to the previous step the page reloads but at the bottom of the page.Instead of showning the whole of the page, the user views the footer of the site and the previous button and next button.I'm sure there is a very simple answer to this but I just can't figure out how to get the page to reload to the top.
My problem is that I have a TextBox with AutoComplete Extender and It's works but The browser save the text that i have Entered before so when i start writing to My text Box I have Two lists appear , one from the browser and one from the autocomplete
I want to disable the browser list and keep the autocomplete list only.
I have a custom pager template on one gridview that the client now wants applied to several other gridviews within the same site. It seems like extending the GridView object makes the most sense, but I'm not clear on how to create the pager template dynamically.
I implemented the class from this link below: http://gonzalo.name/blog/and when I click on the next button image in the pager row, it does not go to the next page, same thing happens when I change a number in the text box, it does not respond. I stepped through the debugger and it does go to the onNextClicked event but does not do any thing. I have a custom grid control and the only thing different then the instruction is rather than using the page_int event I am using the gridview1_init event for this linegridview1.pagertemplate = new fancypagertemplate)gv);I was just wondering if some one has successfully used this code before? Or what other steps could I take to debug this issue?
i want to disable update button in grid if the value of textbox+ sum of the footer of the column is greater > 100how can i do this?at least validation control inside gridview row when inserting inside the text box ..or using javascript alert to notify user that the sum is more than 100 and it can t be updated
I'd like to implement a custom paging template for my formview that displays numeric paging as well as next/previous buttons. The pre-defined templates only appear to have numeric first last as an option. Can anyone recommend a good article that covers this?
On my current project I want to deny going back once my customers hit submit button and redirected to the final page. How can I deny from going back to previous page or some mechanism to expire the page if the back button is clicked. I tried this code and it didn't work
In one of my Web Page, there is one Modal Pop up, in which I am using Gridview Edit, Update, CancelEdit, Delete functionality.Main functionality is : If while deleting any of the Gridview Row, if only 1 row remains in Gridview (that row can be any row), then that row should not get deleted.Rest of Edit, Update, CancelEdit functionally is working fine.
problem is: When any last row is left in Gridview, its Delete button is disables that time (as per requirement and functionality). But when user clicks on Gridview "Edit" button, update section opens, and at that time "Delete" button gets Enabled, so that time user can delete the last row of Gridview which should not be done.I had fixed this problem for "Cancel" and "Update" button of Gridview using below line:
Response.Redirect(Request.Url.AbsoluteUri); but unable to fix it for "Edit" button of Gridview. If Last row is left in Gridview , and user clicks on Gridview "Edit" button of that row, then at that time "Delete" button should not get "enabled" it should remain "disabled"
using System; // We need these namespaces imported to work easier with database using System.Data; using System.Data.SqlClient; // Here is PagedDataSource class located using System.Web.UI.WebControls;

In that page i will have a drop down with the same values in the previous form . What i need is i would like to disable the selected value in the previos form and would like to display the remaining normal
I have done some modification and customization with List.aspx under Dynamic Data.
I must have messed up some controls or events somewhere.
Everything works well except that GridViewPager buttons (|<, <, >, >|) does not bring me to the next or previous page. It stays at the same page.
But if I manually type in the page number into the page number field and press enter, it works brilliantly. The gridview refresh to the correct pageindex.
