Am using update panel in my .aspx page .when i change the value in drop down list inside the update panel am getting the following error. am not using any response object or server object in my code.

I am using Visual Studio 2008 and created a simple ASPX page with two drop downs in it. I am using the Update Panel so that when any item is seleted in drop down 1 the second drop down selected item will change accordingly.
I was hoping the update panel will not fix the page refreshing but I am not sure what is wrong since I still see the Page refresh.

I'm developing a Web tool in ASP.NET 2.0 with AJAX . Its working fine in Local Server. When i deployed it in Development Server and executing the Application , I got an error

In my page i have added DataList in Update Panel with Timer control. The values of my DataList is coming from database. I am retreving random values from database which changes after 10 seconds without refresh the page. After 15-20 mins it gives me this error "sys.webforms.pagerequestmanagerparsererrorexception". I have read many post about this error but i did'nt find any solution.

I have a user control in a master page with two drop down lists. When the user selects an item out of either ddl, I want to load a specific user control inside an update panel on the content page. I can't figure out how to get the user control to trigger the update panel.

It appears in both FF and IE so far, and only happens on the live servers.
It occurs within partial (or attempted partial as they stop working and don't update) postbacks within an update panel on a form that is on every page. It doesn't always do it, but once it's broken, it's consistent. I have a suspicion that it kicks in after the pages in question have been posted back to by another page, but I'm not 100% about this. This form is absolutely integral to the function of the site.

I am just getting my feet wet using Jquery and I am running into an issue.
I have a asp.net listbox that I am populating by looping thru a dataset. I am adding a title attribute on each item as I loop thru.
What I would like to do is use Jquery to over-ride the standard tooltip so it can hold more text and not time out after 5 seconds on mouseover.

I have the following scenarion. I have a range of drop down menus where a clietn can select. The code below is wrapped in an update panel but without this, the button click fires a method to retrieve the number of products. So for example, an item is selected from ddlCategory, the btnValidate is clicked and the label returns the number of products within that category.I have the following code for an update panel - I'm just not sure how to implement if effectively.

I have a c# asp.net web application in .net 1.1. The web application is a website in IIS and works online at the world wide web. There are very much customers all over the world of that website and everything works fine. There is one customer in germany where it doesnt work fine. When he press on a button "New" he gets a popup with the error:

In the past he didnt get this error. I ask this customer to check the website on another machine in his organisation, but he still get this error. So its something in the organisation. Some machine settings or network settings I think, because other customers didn't get this error.Someone know why this organisation get this error ? I have a text box to lookup codes. When you type search criteria in text box, it populates listbox and when you select item in listbox it populates the same text box with the value from listbox.
basically i am using same text box to search and finally populate it with the value. How can use update panel in this case so it doesn't refresh the entire page everytime list box is populated as well as when text box is finally updated.
I am calling a procedure in response to textbox_Changed event to poulate listbox.
