in conclusion, is there any working procedure for ajax or javascript code that can change textbox mode from password to singleline back and forth on focus and on exit of the password textbox hence to see the watermark ?

Feb 2, 2011I have a Master Page with a TextBox to which I have attached a TextBoxWatermarkExtender. One Content page has 3 UpdatePanels, each with a Timer and an UpdatePanelAnimationExtender. The WatermarkText on this Content page flickers when the partial page update occurs, it does not flicker on all other Content pages.

Sep 21, 2010I haven't been able to find anything on the net about this yet. A project that used to work fine all of a sudden started having trouble with a couple users. The TextBoxWatermarkExtenders for these users are now always firing the TextChanged event of the textboxes they are assigned to for every postback. I don't think this is what they are supposed to do. They didn't use to do this. Has anyone else experienced this? I can add code to ignore these unintentional events, but I would like to know why all of a sudden the change in behavior.

AJAX :: Date MaskedEdit With Watermark Doesn't Update On Invalid Date
Sep 17, 2010I'm trying to use the TextBoxWatermarkExtender with MaskedEditExtender/Validator and have found a bug (I think).
In the textbox I enter an invalid date such as 55-55-5555 and exits the textbox. I would then expect the watermark to be shown, but it doesn't. Instead the prompchar is shown (like __-__-____).
If I simply give focus to the textbox and then another control, the watermark is shown.
Is there a workaround such as manually force the TextBoxWatermarkExtender to update.
I'm not the best with javascript, I tried to call focus() and blur() on the textbox in the textbox's onBlur event using window.setTimeout. This works in Firefox, but not IE8, also there has to be a better way I think :-)

Aug 27, 2010say i have 2 asp.net default calendars. Now from one i select the date as August 20 2010 and in second i select the date as March 2011.
My Question: How can i generate dynamic calendars based on dates that i have selected inclusive of the dates? Hence for above example the dynamic calendars would be say from August 2010, September 2010, Oct 2010, Nov 2010.....Upto March 2011.
