I downloaded and installed AJAX Control Toolkit, following this link
http://www.asp.net/ajaxlibrary/act.ashx.
The tab doesn't show on the Toolbox. I right clicked at the Toolbox and select Show All. The tab and the controls shows up but all controls are gray out, look like disable. How can I make enable?
ive used the Ajax Control Toolkit in previous versions of VWD but for some reason im having trouble adding the Toolkit to the toolbox in this new version (2010) i have setup on my laptop, when i browse to and select the .dll file it gives me the error "Object reference not set to instance of an object" can anyone please help ive been trying to fix this issue for a little over an hour now.
View 1 Repliesi open visual studio 2008 and create a new project, in this project i use the ajaxcontroltoolkit, now in the vs toolbox i add a new tab, and named it AjaxcontrolToolkit, then i click on it and select choose items, in the .net framework components i browseto the ajaxcontroltoolkit dll, then all the ajaxcontroltoolki controls appears in the tab, an work fine, but when i close the vs and start it again i lost that tab, there are any way to keep in this tab for the next restart of vs?

MaskedEditExtender.Ok i know that it probably needs a mask and it crashes but what the hell is the

I have a combobox inside a hidden div which I use css display = none to make it invisible, but when I make the div visible by setting display = block, the combobox just show the input and its button and ul list all have css as display = 'none', visibility ='hidden'.
I can tell it is done by combobox inbuild javascript because I tried to use javascript to set the css manually with no luck. It is a bug of combobox. I spent a week to solve this, and our team put a lot trust on the toolkit.
Below is the code to reproduce the bug. When you run it, you can't see the dropdown:

the problem is the items text in the combox box is having a square beneath at the second character which is hindering the visibility of the list. but the square is not appearing in the text area.
Adding an Accordion only creates the outer most tags. I then have to add the headercssclass, contentcssclass etc. info. Then i have to manually add <Pane> tags, and then add Accordion Pane controls. Using VWDE 2008, is there a way to customize the control so that adding the Accordion control automatically adds this other info? Ideally with 2 Accordion Panes to start, but even just getting the various Accordion properties and the <Pane> tags added would make it much more <Pane>less!

I have a sample Microsoft Word document which has several paragraphs.
When I click the button "Paste from MS Word (with cleanup)" on the Editor, <br/> is inserted as the HTML instead of <p></p> i.e. HTML paragraphs.
I would like the MS Word paragraphs to retain their meaning and have a <p> instead of <br />.
(By the way, they are kept if I do a standard Paste, but then a lot of other obscure characters are inserted into the HTML)
