View 1 RepliesI am using the newest AJAX control toolkit. What I want to accomplish is I have a modal popup panel with cascading dropdown list and radio button inside. The issue is the postback. RadioButton and Cascading dropdown have postback so that will cause the modal panel disappear after the postback. I just want the panel disappear after I click the ok button on the panel and send the data into a field in a page. What I did was I placed the update panel inside the popup panel. If I did that, I would see the dropdown lists automatically refresh every time by accessing the webservice. If I placed the update panel outside, the dropdown would not be triggered. Even I set the trigger for the Update Panel, it will not see that way.

View 1 RepliesI have TextBox1 (enabled = true) and TextBox2 (enabled = false) in my WebForm on loading. Both are validated by means of a RegularExpressionValidator.
How can I set TextBox2 enabled = true ONLY AFTER (!) the text inserted in TextBox1 has been validated and accepted as valid ?
Can this be done on client side exclusively or is some code behind absolutely necessary ?
I'm trying to write a custom validation on a set of radiobutton list where if certain radio button is selected, a specified checkbox needs to be fill in with certain amount.

View 2 RepliesI want to add 2 radiobuttons into a column:
- Present
- Absent
There is also a field in the database: 'Present'
I have googled his topic, most of the answers provide with the .aspx code.
I would like to do it from the 'Design' method, ie. from the Property box.
If the user select 'Absent' then a dropdown list have to be 'visible' on the next column for selection.
<asp:RadioButtonList ID="rblSplitWeek" runat="server">

<asp:ListItem Text = "First" Value = "Session('s_price_1')"></asp:ListItem>

All fields are BoundFields (except radiobuttons). They can't be converted to templates, I am using boundfields for row-level displaying in RowDataBound.Each row has a radiobutton and only one radio button should be selected per subquestion (SQ).How I can ensure only one answer is selected per subquestion? On radiobutton click or on submit?

View 3 RepliesI have a textbox control and a checkbox list control on my page.
I am first populating my checkbox list with a list of employee objects in the code-behind. An employee has an id and a name. Both are displayed in the checkbox list like so:
Jim (1)
Alex (2)
Gary (3)
When a user checks one of the boxes, the employee's name needs to be populated in the textbox. So if Jim is selected, the textbox value is "Jim". It also needs to support multiple values, so if Jim and Gary are selected, the textbox value is "Jim, Gary".
Also, if a user enters a valid value in the textbox, the correct employee should be checked. This needs to support names and id's. So if I enter "1,Alex" in the textbox and then click outside the textbox, Jim and Alex should be selected.
I'm using ASP.NET and I need to do this using AJAX, but I have no experience with using jQuery and AJAX. Could someone show me a simple example of how to do this?
I'm having some difficulty adding an autocomplete extender to a textbox and getting it working.
I've read through the samples and did a quick search on here, but cannot work out why it isn't working.
In a nutshell...
I've added a textbox onto a page, and added the autocomplete extender along with the AutoComplete page method.
Page
[Code]....
Code Behind
[System.Web.Services.WebMethodAttribute(), System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptMethodAttribute()]
public string[] GetCompletionList(string prefixText, int count, string contextKey)
{
StaffADBLL staff = new StaffADBLL();
DataTable dtStaff = staff.FindStaff(prefixText);
string[] items = new string[dtStaff.Rows.Count];
int i = 0;
foreach (DataRow row in dtStaff.Rows)
{
items.SetValue(row["displayName"].ToString(), i);
i++;
}
return items;
}
I've even tried adding an asmx file, and that doesn't work either.
I get no errors and when I start typing nothing happens, it doesn't even produce a list after 3 characters.
I tried to debug and it doesn't debug through the code, skips it completely.
I am using visual C# and trying to create a web form (form.aspx for example).The issue is that i'm using two radiobuttons and two textboxes and i want the second textbox to hide if the first(or the second, i don't care) radiobutton is checked(selected).I am typing the below piece of code:

I have 2 radio buttons

i want the following function to be implemented.
when the user click on 1st radio button i want to display the 'techstaff textbox' below and when the user click on the 2nd radiobutton i want to display the 'admin staff textbox' below.
I set the enabled property of Textbox to False.Thru the JS,I want to enable dat textbox.My code is Working Correctly.

This is likely a n00b question, but I can't seem to find any info on how to solve it. Here's the scenario:
I have a Textbox and a RadioButtonList in an UpdatePanel, both with AutoPostBack turned on (they need to be, can't turn it off on the text box))
The user enters some text in to the textbox, then clicks one of the Items in the radio button list.
Because the textbox post back is executing, the radio button is losing the value that the user selected.
How can I workaround this?
I have a couple of dropdownlists and a button.when a user selects an item in the 1st dropdownlist,the 2nd dropdown is programmatically bound to a set of items(using an ajax request) depending on the value selected in the 1st dropdown.Then the user will have the ability to choose an item from the 2nd dropdown and click on the button,which performs some server side opeartions and returns the results.
But if the user tries to click on the button before the 2nd dropdown list is populated,user will receive an exception message.Instead of that I would like to prevent the user from clicking the button before the ajax request is completed to populate the 2nd dropdown.I tried using Button1.Enabled=false in the selectedvaluechanged event of 1st dropdown,which does n't seem to work.
if radio button selected as process in a row then i need check text box is empty or not using jquery or javascript in gridview?
