I want to use the google geocoding API by passing latlng to it and get the address back, while I am using this link for example :
[URL]
it gives me the xml file back , but if I try it in the code using :
Dim client As New WebClient
Dim data As Stream = client.OpenRead("http://maps.google.com/maps/api/geocode/xml?latlng=" & finlatitude & "," & finlongitude & "&sensor= false")
Dim reader As StreamReader = New StreamReader(data)
result1 = reader.ReadToEnd
This is code for searching latitude and longitude . so how to save into database.
function GetLocation() { var geocoder = new google.maps.Geocoder(); var address = document.getElementById("txtAddress").value; geocoder.geocode({ 'address': address }, function (results, status) { if (status == google.maps.GeocoderStatus.OK) { var latitude = results[0].geometry.location.lat();
I have an embedded Google map with my web application in ASP.NET 3.5.I have implemented reverse geocoding (getting address from latitude and longitude) on Map click. Now, I need the same but on marker click.
i want to add a google map in my asp.net page. i have multiple location. now i want to get the driving direction for this multiple location. Its similar like getdirection in google map.
This is my test page (see below). As you can see, I have an UpdatePanel and everything works ok, except the google Map (of course in this test page there is only the google map). The Google Map loads perfectly on initial load, but click the button to refresh the UpdatePanel, and the google map disapears. How do I make this visible and hidden when I want it to?
As an organisation, we use Google Apps. We have the paid version (mapped to our domain) etc...We are developing a web based application to manage orders, and other business functionality.I want to be able to use federated login with our google apps accounts- For example, if a user is logged in to their email (gMail) - they should automatically be logged in to our ASP.net application
If they're not logged in - the log in form should auth. against our google apps account. How can this be done?Is it possible to be able to "get" the user who is currently logged in using this method etc...?
I have a GridView in which I have item,Edit ,Footer and Empty Item Template , and also a hovermenuextender to show Edit/Delete link on row hover. when my page opens if it doesn't have any data it show empty row , when user enters data and click on Add button it save's the data and load the grid. All works fine in IE and firefox but not in google Chrome.
After saving data in chrome all links stop working , but when i reload the page it workes fine if i remove the hovermenuextender it works fine in chrome also, So i think hovermenuextender creating problem in chrome when it's added at runtime(if empty grid comes hovermenuextender will be added after data saved)
I've implemented a google map with points and stuff that uses an address that the user inputs. When you click a point, the popup bubble appears with the name and address in.Often this name and address is a prominent location, as it's used for meetings and things, such as a university. If you google the address yourself on maps.google.co.uk then you get google's own popup bubble, which often has a photo, information, opening hours, links to directions, reviews, etc. etc.I am wondering if there's a way to use that popup dialog instead of my own, where it is available. I can't see anything in the API to do this.I'm using V2 as we support IE6 in a lot of our users, but I've been told recently I can upgrade to V3 should I need functionality from it.
just want to add the effect of map momentum by the dragging of map as in maps.google.com has. currently on my map where i stop dragging the map stops there but in maps.google.com if you drag a mouse the map will not stop there it will continue the movement in the same direction for a second or few cordinates (i dont know basically), but I want the same thing on my google map. I am using GMap2.
I have several pages, let's call them A, B and C. Each of these pages has a form where the user can type in some information and click a button to send those information to the server. This button click is performed in an UpdatePanel to prevent a full postback.
A customer of ours now wants to know how many % of the using visiting each site (A, B and C have different URLs) use this form. (Meaning I need seperate values for A, B and C) How to I track this in Google Analytics? It seems that I have to create a conversion(??) for each page. Is that correct?
How must I modify the existing web application to let Google Analytics know, that a user submitted the form. (without the need to redirect thank to xy amount of different thank you pages)
I am trying to implement google charts using sql database. I can not get the code to display charts on the client-side, as its currently blank page. I tried changing the str.append string but I still can not get the data to display on the client-side.
I'm trying to implement Google Interactive chart inside an updatepanel.
The regular Google Charts do work (I think because there I'm just calling an URL).
But now I want the interactive chart inside an updatepanel within a tabcontainer etc. But now the request to Google is made, resulting in an infinitely loading white page to Google.
I am using update panels with Update mode conditional in by aspx page. The page is functioning properlly in the IE.8.0 but the page content is not posting when i open it in the Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
FYI I am using Update panels for drop down lists and buttons and in the triggers also i am using similar controls.
I wan to do a required field validation for the cascading dropdownlist . When my page first load out the validator is fired first in the google chrome, the callout extender message is prompt out first in the Google Chrome. I have tested the code in IE and safari, this two browsers never prompt out the validator callout first when the page is loaded.
i wonder why the google chrome will prompt out the validator when i validate the cascading dropdownlist. I have did some research on it, but failed to get any solution.
I'm having a problem with the CalendarExtender's position in Google Chrome (4.0.249.78 (36714)) when a page is scrolled down such that the scrollbar position is > 0
- Scroll down so that the "Calendar Demonstration" subheading is just below the top of the browser rendering area.
- Click the first TextBox labelled "Default Calendar"
- The CalendarExtender popup appears with it's top edge at the very top of the page instead of below the TextBox.
The same happens when you click on the 2nd TextBox or on the button trigger for the "Calendar with an associated button" example.
It seems that the "top" css value of the resuting popup div isn't being calculated with the scroll position taken into account. Running the same example in Firefox results in a "top" value of 391px, with the Chrome value being 273px.
I am new to this forums.I am using the Google Chart API to show the chart on the page on the drop down selection. This is working fine in IE but not in firefox 3.6 with update panel. When I remove the update panel then this is working fine in all browsers but if I use update panel on the page then chart is disappering after changing the selection of drop down. It seems that google chart is not compatible with update panel.
My code is something like this. Please suggest where I am doing wrong.
When a marker is clicked, I'd like to display a popup.
this is easy, my problem is that the popup needs to be updated from the database before and the popup has some links that should be inside an UpdatePanel to avoid refresh.
I can use the marker function to display a popup (with a given html) how to get the html with the updatepanel .
I thougt about using the ajax popup control but I don't know how to position it on the marker.
I have a page where I want to keep several combo boxes adjacent to each other. I have put them in divs that are floated left.
This works fine in IE, Firefox. But when I render the same page on Chrome I observe the uneven gap between combo boxes. Upon analysis I found out that each combo box is occupying space based on the data inside it.
This happens because on Safari and Chrome, the option list control is placed differently as compared to that on IE and Firefox.
Please see the following code from ComboBox.pre.js (in AjaxControlToolkit source/Server/)
[Code]....
This is how it looks:
I have tried doing the following but none of them helped:
Changed the RenderMode of combo box to 'block' from 'inline'Commented the lines above in combobox.pre.js Basically, as per my study, unlike IE and FF, on Chrome, the outer combo box div occupies space as the width of absolutely placed ul present inside it which anyways doesn't seem to be a correct implementation.
like to display infowindow as it is in google maps on selection of Dropdownlist with data dynamically binded using VB.net can anybody provide me the code.
