I wrote a page using a tabcontainer to display different functionality. On the main page I have a modal popup used for login. In ie8 everything works fine, but in IE7 the modal popup is hidden behind the tabcontainer and the controls on the tab stay active.

Whenever, I click on the search buttton, the popup window immediately disappear. How am be able to make my modal popup window to stay visible even I click on the search button?
View 2 RepliesWhen using a modal popup extender along with an embedded video, the popup is hidden behind the video in IE but works as expected in FF.I've tried manually setting the z-index of the popup to a huge number and the z-index of the video object to 1 but this makes no difference.

I have an Ajax ModalPopupExtender on a page. To summarise. I have a link on a page, when I click the link the modal popup displays. On this modalpopup I've a textbox and an 'ok' and 'cancel' button. I wish to find out what was entered in the textbox when the button is clicked I try this but the value of ((TextBox)button1.Page.FindControl("theTitle")) is null.

I have three modal popup and three link buttons the first link button is on menu i.e. login that shows login-popup and the login popup contains two links forgot password and register both of them opens a popup but the problem is the login popup isnt hiding with click on register or foreget link the popups are appearing perfectly but arent hiding.

how to set a TabContainer to hidden/visible. I have tried placing it in a div and in a panel, but when I hide these (style="visibility: hidden;"), the Tabcontainer stays visible! Setting the style of the TabContainer itself doesn't work.

Modal Popup user control (its a message box) on top of a modal popup with javascript that maintains postback on a scrollable div all inside of an update panel causes my page to flash on postback of the user control. If any one of the peices (user control, modal popup, javascript) are missing everything works fine. The javascript is maintaing scrollback on a scrollable listview on the page. A modalpopup is shown on top of this main page that is for report parameters. The user control is used for validation and is displayed if a parameter is invalid. I know this may not be the best design, but it can't really change unless its a minor change. Heres the js if anyone wants to see popup or styles let me know.

I have a Usercontrol and I have Gridview in it. Name of my control is Search.ascx.Now I have a Page Home.aspx where I have Placed this usercontrol in One Tab of TabContainer of Ajaxtoolkit. Now when I click on Edit Link from GridView I want to activate another tab and I can do that in .cs file by registering Event.
I want same thing to be acheived using Jquery.

for example Admin Upload Page consists of these sections:
* make a new folder
* delete folder
* upload file in folder
* show folders information (in a gridview)

so I think one way is showing this sections in modal
but when I tried make a new folder in modal after clicking in create folder button modal disappeared.
Is there any way that modal doesnt disappear until user click close button?
I mean I want modal to behave like a page.
If there isn't a way what to do for classification sections?
I'm using modal popup extender and panel with calendar in it. Click the "Next / Previous Month" closes the modal popup. How do I tell the modal popup to ignore click events in a calendar control inside the panel targeted for popup? I'm confused because when using extender before, you had to click OkButton or Cancel to close popup. I have update panel for reason. I just minimized the code for easy review.

There is a textbox on the "parent" page and I want to click the button on the modalpopup and move the data from the popup textbox to the parent textbox. So far, no joy. I have a line in the code behind to move the data between textboxes and I have also tried javascript to do the same thing but I am not able to make this happen unless i click the button twice.

What I want to do is put a modal popup container on the bottom of my pages .... then based upon the user action (say button click) I want to populate the modal popup with all the necessary controls for that action (ie. textbox, select list, user control,etc.). One button may be just a modal popup with a textbox and button, another might be a select list with button.
I have a repeater "Repeater1" which has an image button "imgClick". What I want to do is that when the user clicks imgClick a modal window pops up. The problem I am having is how do you assign imgClick to the TargetControlID of the ModalPopupExtender.

View 3 RepliesI've used modal popups before with no issues, but now I am getting a strange issue I need help with.I'm using .net 4.0, this is my first new project using it, so perhaps it is something to do with that.
I've setup a modal popup which contains textboxes and a dropdownlist to insert and update values in a database. The popup displays correctly, and the code behind works perfectly to insert new rows into a database and update existing ones. My problem is, it's inserting and updating 'incorrect values'. If I type "test123" into the textbox and save it, the value "test123,test123" is saved. I do not have any code that does this, and i think it is the modal popup extender, because when I move controls out of the modal popup panel and onto the main page (inside an update panel) they are no longer affected by 'duplicating' string values and "test123" is saved. ",<duplicateValue>" is appended after EVERY post back. I've had the textbox displaying "test123,test123,test,123,test123" after a few save button clicks. Is there anything blatantly obvious to check (viewstate or something similar) that will correct this behaviour? I promise I'm not duplicating the values myself, they only seem to duplicate after the submit button click inside the modal popup panel.
