AJAX :: Page Is Posted Back Due To Asynchronous File Uploader Control ?

I am using Asynchronous File uploader ajax toolkit control.I want to get knowledge of whether page is posted back due to File uploader or not in Page_Load event of my aspx page.
For that i tried to use Page properties IsAsync, IsCallBack but even page is posted back on responce of File Upload these properties are false,only IsPostback property is True.
Why IsAsync and IsCallBack properties are false ?
I was thinking that since this control upload files Asyncronously, so atleast on File Upload IsAsync property should be True.But that is also false .

I have an Async File Uploader control inside a Repeater which is inside an update panel. Now,I am uploading the file into ftp,so I am not uploading the video file,using SaveAs() method. For uploading the file in ftp,I have this UploadFile method which takes these four parameter:FileName, UploadPath, FTPUser, FTPPassword.Now this FileName,I have to send the full file path. In my current web application I have a listbox containing large number of elements. I have used an ajax listsearchextender to help the users in selecting the elements. I have set the autopostback property of listbox true. The application is working fine as expected in internet explorer. But in firefox while I am typing some text in search lable of listsearchextender the selectedIndexChanged event is fired and the page is posted back. So I am not able to selected the item properly using list search extender control. Can you please suggest me how can I stop the selectedIndexChanged event.

how to check if a dynamically created control has posted back?The below code is not working.

I have created some imagebuttons dyanmically on page_Init. But the above code always returns null. Why is that? How can I check If an image button has posted back?
Note: I am able to handle the click events of those imagebuttons.

Whatever server Control we take on aspx page while in coding phase, all those controls are converted to html controls through the asp.net engine and sent to the requesting web browser. That's fine.
Now, all the controls that are rendered on the browser are html controls. I am bit confused that how after pressing any button (Or any such control that post back pages) page is posted back to the asp.net engine. How such html controls comes to know where (address) they have to go?

ASP.NET Ajax Library provides some client-side events. For instance:

During the asynchronous post-back I want to retrieve information to the client. This information must be available in some event like the discribed above.
Does the UpdatePanel or the ScriptManager have any server-side way to retrieve data back to client during an asynchronous post-back?

i used the flajaxian file uploader. there is an example which i found that can use an external button to run the file uploader. the example is shown below. the current problem im faceing is that the button in the example is a HTML button adn when i change to an asp.net button the function cannot be called. any ideas how to get the asp.net button to work? serverside code

I am using file upload control and the captcha.After fulfill the form and upload the file , if user enter the wrong captcha test and click on button the uploded file being disaaper .I know this is the shortcoming of file upload control but client required thatIt needs to not clear the photo Plz help me out so that i can maintain the uploaded file state and have to capable so that user does not need to uploaded file again.

the value of the HTML input button is sent in a post back. I'm testing in ASP.NET with IE and I am not finding this to be the case.

The Javascript doTest() function is changing the value when the button is clicked.Is there something more I'm supposed to do for ASP.NET or IE to get the input button value posted back? Or is the information about this functionality

I've a asp:TextBox and a submit button on my asp.net page. Once the button was clicked, the TextBos's value is posted back. I'm going to keep the the posted-back text value into session, so that other child controls can access to the value during their Page_Load. However, I always get NOTHING ("") in the Page_Load method, and I can read the text out in the button click handler. I know that the "button click event" happens after the Page_Load. So, I'm asking how can I "pre-fetch" the TextBox.text during Page_Load?

I have textbox in which pincode has to be entered and it checks with database and gets city and state from database and fills data in other 2 textbox.I have kept asynchronous postback trigger on textbox textchanged event. After reterving data from database i set focus on other textbox of STDCode.But the problem with ie7,ie8 browser is that the focus comes on control but i can't write anything in stdcode textbox untill i move to another textbox. When i come back from another textbox i can write in stdcode textbox.Problem gets occured only in IE7,Ie8 browsers only.Here is design file of that page.

i am using a file uploader to upload files. Now when i am using this on a mobile emulator with default browser IE it is uploading only those files whose name is less than 6 character. the files with name more than 6 character is not uploading through mobile emulator or mobile phone (PDA). I need this solution very soon.

Is there a way to add a file upload progress bar to the existing .net file uploader? I have an uploader on my site that has all kinds of things tied to it that I can't change to use an AJAX uploader. Or as far as I know I can't. So I was wondering if anyone knew how to add the progress bar to the asp.net uploader.

I am building a website in which all of the site layout is in Master page and the content of the site is in the inherited pages. I have various links for navigation in which i simple use Response.Redirect to transfer to different pages. Now the problem is that I want to put the content place holder inside Ajax Update panel so that the postbacks are Asynchronous and I want to show the postback by an animated image inside Update Panel progress control. The problem is that I am unable to achieve this result and the entire page is posted back and rendered again. I have placed the content place holder inside the Ajax control toolkit's Update panel but it does not work. Is there any way that I can change the content of the content place holder to a new page with asynchronous postback.
