I have one dropdownlist and textbox which is databinded and will display retrieved data on a listbox, i wanted to clear the textbox and dropdownlist using a button after displaying data on the listbox.

I am able to populate the staffs indenpendantly according to what is written in textbox or dropdownlist. Whar i wanted to do is mix the population of staffnames from textbox and dropdownlist. In other words, when i search "sandra' in textbox and select a Department A , the listbox will show all the sandra from Department A only.

i am using html input fields for inserting data to db e.g.:

and a submit button for submitting all data :

also i am using an update panel to trigger this button click event ( to avoid postbacks and page refreshing ) . i want to clear out all my fields after submition of data , but it won't happens , even i tried on submit_click's event also , i did :

I have to parse the data to dropdownlist and then choosed the data from dropdownlist, this data will be appear in listbox. But my problem is when I parse the data to dropdownlist, I used updatepanel. It is no problem. It is okay. And then when I choose the data from dropdownlist, It can't be appear in listbox. Why? I have no idea. My code is :

have a page with a textbox control with textmode=password. In this page I also have some buttons that I have to click before save all data. But when I click any button, the password textboxe's text clears itself.I know how to persist this information on the code behind, but my user really want to see the '***' in the textbox

I am having two dropdownlist in my project,one dropdownlist for empid, another dropdownlist for month, if the user select the empid, the values are retrieved in the textbox.
In the second dropdownlist, if the user select the month in the dropdownlist it will display the leave details, its all working fine, if the user again select the first dropdownlist that means empid, I want to show the second dropdownlist as select month, how can do this.....

I have a update panel that is being refreshed every second or so, and the user is inputing data into this gridview via a textbox. when the user presses enter or send i would like the text box to be cleared. I call it to be cleared on my button event but it doesnt. It post to my gridview perfectly but it will not delete the text. I am assuming becasuse the control is outside of the update panel or the timer is a problem, I was looking around for a answer and saw to complete this you have to use java script. I have a asp.net web form in which I display registered customers in a listbox. In the listbox I can choose one customer, and click a "Show data"-button. That should display all registered data about the chosen customer in textboxes next to the listbox. This doesn't work and I haven't been able to find where the error lies. I have a dropdownlist populated by a table containing ID and Name field. I am showing a textbox and add button if the user selects "Other" option from that dropdownlist. When a user fills the textbox and hit that button it binds the dropdownlist. But I am struggling to figure out how to show the textbox value immediately in the dropdownlist after they hit the add button. I don't want my users to scroll down the list to find the newly added item. Please provide sample code.
