I have a custom implementation of Application_PreRequestHandlerExecute which is applying a deflate/gzip filter to the response. However, on IIS7, this is failing on my "script generator" pages. These aspx pages take in Query String values and return a custom bit of script, changing the response type to text/javascript. I think it is failing because of the way iis7 uses mime types, but I'm unsure how to fix it short of turning all compressio off.

We have an ASP.NET application running on a webfarm. When we release a new version and copy it to the production servers, occasionally it happens that after a few hours the application reverts to a an earlier code base.Have anyone else experienced something like this? Would sharing an application pool between two applications running different versions of the code make this happen?

I have deployed my application to the remote server. But some error occures during that runs on the server. So i need to trace the server side code. I don't have Vs .net in my server but i have that in my client machine. Is there any way to trace the code from the client?

What happens is that when I click the button page bla.aspx opens, and even postback is trigered. Validator is showing the message, but page is opened and postback trigered.
How to handle this? Validation is broken...
I have some code that I tweaked for a contact form that I have been using for years with no trouble. I recently upgraded my hosting account to IIS7 and upgraded the Framework and now my code isn't working. I don't know how to fix my code so that it works. Could someone look at it and tell me what I need to fix? I get the following error when overwriting my asp.net .dll sometimes on my web server. The server is running Windows 2008 and IIS7. The only way I can seem to resolve the issue is to restart IIS7 completely.

im using an access database with less than 50.000 records on a single table, no relations.
ive put the following code inside a two for cycles as per the respective variables (i, j) the connection is opened outside the outer cycle and closed after it, im holding the connection open to save up on open/close time and im using OleDB thinking it would be faster than ODBC. The ds fill operation takes nearly 3 seconds in debug mode, the total process will require almost 4 hours. How is it possible to speed it up?

I have an aspx page that reads an excel file and loads the content in a dataset. The page works perfectly fine in my development machine (Windows 7 / 32 bit).
But when I deploy the dll in my production server (Windows 2003 server / 64 bit), I keep getting the error 'Microsoft.jet.oledb 4.0 provider is not registered in the local machine'.
We have been struggling with this error for the last three days. We've tried all options we got with Google. Using regsvr32, regasm, running the cscript.exe to run 32 bit applications from 64 bit server.. and everything else we saw.
I created an asp form that connect to my access database, uding windows server 2003 64X but i am having trouble accessing the page due to the error that says provider not installed on local machine,i found some posts online that requested to make the iis allow 32Bit connection which i did; however the error now is gone but the page keep looping without displaying anything.
