I have one web application in which I am calling one window application. When I call that win app, it runs in background means it shows only in task manager but does not show any window of that application. I have searched for this on MSDN support and do as directed, but nothing result.

The web page contains bunch of update panels that have reports in iFrame controls inside it. On click of save, I display modal popup with confirmation message. Initially, all panels are collapsed, modal popup is displayed properly with the gray background color. When i expand all the panels, page gets really huge and modal popup displays no background color (transparant). Below are the styles I am using -

when i call modal popup extender the background is scrolling , i want to freeze the background page then is there any properties or any other idea to get this ..

View 17 RepliesI found a javascript that you can use to print a page in ASP .Net. It works great but there is one issue. If you have used a stylesheet, then any background color or image that you have defined in css, it won't show up while printing. The javascript is below:

View 4 RepliesI have a web application that initializes a third-party com application to perform few calculations. The website is deployed on a windows 2008 server (standard edition).
The problem I have been facing is that when I am logged in to the server (Remote Desktop Connection only as the server is not local), the com application initializes fine. But when I log-off or just close the remote desktop connection, the application doesn't get initialized. I have searched for a solution and found this:

I created the scheduled task as I didn't know how to create the windows service (the description at
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/251192 is too confusing), and got the application to run when windows starts before even the user logs-in. But in even in this case, the application doesn't work unless the user is logged in and when I log-in, a second instance is created (with exactly the same user (admin)) and the original instance is never used.
I cannot get the application to run without logging off or atleast having to close the remote desktop connection.Is there anything I am doing wrong?
In my application i am sending emails of bigger size (> 2.5 Mb). Now till the emails are being sent, the application is in hanged up state (mouse cursor is of busy state).One of my friend suggested to use background worker that "could" display message something like "Please wait...Sending email". I have no idea as to how to use the background worker process. if there is any other quicker/easier alternative,

I sepcified X="10" and Y="120" for modalpopup this works fine. but the problem is when the user scroll down the page he wont be able to see the modalpopup ( it always shows in the corresponding X,Y position). If i remove X,Y values horizontally it showing fine but vertically we are able to see only half of the popup window. how can we always show the popup window in the middle of the screen(eventhough user scrolls the page). I am using latest ajaxcontroltoolkit (3.5).

The HTML content are dynamically generated in the code behind and the content is full page (<html> ... </html>). Upon clicking a button on the web page, I would like to get the generated html content and pass it to the browser and show it in a new popup window. The content will be the final result (UI) not HTML tags.

I have a list of links displayed in a gridview that, when clicked, open in a new window. I used OnClientClick = "form1.target = '_blank';" to achieve this. I also need to let the users delete links. Problem is, when I click the delete button it calls the OnClientClick event even though it isn't in the delete tag. This only happens if I click delete after I have clicked on a link. The result is that the link I am trying to delete opens up in a new window and is not deleted.
