We are using microsoft report in our project, in that we are showing some special character like japanese character. In rdlc file we have applied Arial Unicode MS font for that label. We are rendering this file into the pdf format.
In development environment (Window vista OS) we are able to see that unicode character properly but when we deploy on windows 2003 server then that special character shown as '????' .
Previously Arial unicode MS font was not installed on windows 2003 server, we have manually installed it after that also we are not getting unicode character in report.
My purpose is to display selected days with different BackColor values, according to the selection of the client. i would like to display phone number fields on a website as (123) 456-7890 but have the system see it as 1234657890 when calling myTextBox.Text i am thinking this would require overriding the text property and cleaning it up in the overridden property but wanted to run this past the community.
I have a text field that users enter information into a database (SQL Server). They are entering as little as a few sentances to multiple paragraphs. I can successfully display the data on my webpage, but the text field is not formatted very nicely. The output is all smashed together like one big paragraph. Ironically, when I also display the text as a tool tip it outputs as multiple paragraphs like it was entered. How can I format the output in the datalist to create a more readable text field? My datalist field is as follows:
Using a gridView to read some data from a SQL database. The user can select a record in the gridview. On the SelectedIndexChanged property I populate this to a couple of text boxes & drop down list; txtCountry,ddlProvince,ddlCity.
I have special characters in France ( accent marks) and when I populate it to the drop down list it fails giving out the error message "SelectedValue which is invalid because it does not exist in the list of items".
Example of items that I try to populate are as follows. ( separated by commas) ÃŽLE-DE-FRANCE , PROVENCE-ALPES-CÔTE D'AZUR , RHÔNE-ALPES, DRÔME,ISÈRE ........ When I looked in the drop down lists for Province and Cities I see those Provinces there in the item list. When I debug line by line the word ÃŽLE-DE-FRANCE comes out like ÎLE-DE-FRANCE which is not there in the drop down list. Got to know the ÃŽ is typed by pressing down ALT+206 and lloks like this is what is coming in at the start of the string above.
I'm new to using databases with ASP.Net, and I'm trying to learn how to use the data found within one, such as MySQL, and format it to my liking. Since the transition to databases, I have been used to, and I am quite comfortable with, XML, XSD, XSLT, and the XML Data Controls. I am wondering how I go about displaying and formatting values from a database, as I would from a XML document. For example, using XML, I would say in an XLST file that for each node of a specific type, I would display the values of all the child nodes in boxes, with each node having its own box (similar to a blog). How would I go about doing this with soothing like MySQL? Are there equivalents to database style sheets like XSLT, or is there another way about styling, formatting, and displaying database values in a customizable way that doesn't only include tables?
as Service but here as you see in row with id=2 there isn't any data in service2 and service3 columns and just in service1 is data(ser4) so it show in lblservice data like below ser4, , , Â ...
but I want if in one of column doesn't be data it doesn't show (,) that come after data I mean I want if in 1 columns be data in show:
ser1,... NOT ==> Â ser1, , , ...
if in 2 columns be data shows
===>( ser1,ser2, ...) Â NOT ===>(ser1,ser2, , ...)

I am using a SQL DB to save and display a simple collection of data which contains several dates. As the intended audient is UK based, I wish to display the dates in a UK format (DD/MM/YY). This works well (using {0:d}) and the display and creation of records also works fine.
However, as all fields are editable, when the record is displayed in the Formview edit mode and saved, the dates field try and save in the UK format and will more often than not fail with an invalid date error. How can I display the date in a UK format yet get the same field to save in the usual SQL date format?
With reference to the following thread: URL....I have problem applying the same concept to gridview EditItemTemplate. Is there a way i can add comma to large numbers and display it in currency format like exemple below:
Textbox3=Textbox1 * Textbox2
Textbox3= 1,000.00
Textbox3 should happen OnTextChanged and the above controls are in Gridview edit mode.
I am trying to create reports in my asp.net application. I using Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2008 Express. I am trying to display the reports using the Report Viewer (local mode - no report server).
I originally created a lot of reports using Report Builder 2 with the intent of using Report Viewer (remote mode - with a report server). The reports that I created are in rdl format and in order to display the reports using the Report Viewer in local mode, the reports need to be in rdlc mode - (the C stands for client processing).
