I'm looking for a banner advertising managemt system that can be incorporated into a website. I found a few on codeplex, but what I'm looking for is for a way to have registered users add/edit/see stats on their own ads.

I like this approach in that, if the advertisement include dynamic content, such as "today's price," the content will be easily reflected in the hosting web page.My question is this:I realize that IFRAMEs present navigational issues, but is there a real impact on SEO and should SEO-sensitive developers avoid using it at all costs or are there circumstances where it can be used w/o harming your ranking?

I have a folder with images, banners, which i have a c# code block that goes through and makes a list of all the files and their URLS.
I want these images to rotate automaticaly every 5 sec as the websites main banner.
No buttons, no mouse over, nothing more is necesary. The only thing is that it has to be dynamic, when the user has uploaded more images into the folder, these new files must be used as well.
So im asking all the great experts here. What is the easiest way to go?

While I was using adrotator for flashing banner it was working so slowly(poorly) that it did not serve any purpose. Actually i was trying to display all the products of a company by flashing them one after another in a window. provide me some other better alternative for the purpose or any other control, provide some code snippet.

View 3 RepliesI was interested in creating a banner ad. I understand that you need an HTML editor. I have no familiarity with this at all. I was looking in Visual Studio and see under Add New Item if you click on Web you can add an HTML page. Should I perhaps create a new project as an ASP.NET Web Application and then add a HTML page. Would I be able to go that route and create a banner ad and publish it to my website.
I tried doing this and using Web Deploy while doing a Publish. I had a successful Publish but when I navigated to the URL I just saw a blank page.
If this isn't the route you should go and you should instead use an independent HTML editor is there one that you could recommend?

I found out that I can use "FindControl" method to find out what value that Label Control of Master Page's currently got..
Now how do I change that image on the banner ?? How do I go about it ? Also that CSS Sprite now is a user control named "myBanner.ascx"(earlier was an aspx file)..Now do I need to make 2 diff usercontrols or I can implement some logic in one usercontrol itself ?

I am not sure how to pass a variable from an .aspx page to an .ascx page. I have a Control that puts rotating banners on a page. The control has several public properties. However, only one of those properties changes on the page level. All the other properties are the same for every page site-wide. So, instead of setting all the properties on every page in my sites (many sites), I want to set it up so I only have to setup the sitewide properties once and only the page level properties on each page.
I want to create a control with a property of AdKeyword="somename" and pass it to another control that will grab that page-level property and add it to all the other site-wide properties. I guess what I need could be called a Dynamic Control Property.

My ASP.NET 1.1 application is using load balancing servers. Before load balancing servers, there is no problem related to session management. After googling, I found the following two points:
1) Website instance ID must be same on both the servers. When I ran Microsoft provided VB Script to check instance ID. On both the servers, they are same.
2) I have also generated a unique machine key and pasted it in the machine.config on both the servers.
I want to know that when we create custom controls, then is there State Management through ViewState done automatically or we have to handle it explicitely ?Since i have created Custom Controls that is behaving as if it is not maintaining its state on PostBack.
