View 4 RepliesSome values are returning 2.0 but I need it to be 2.00 as this is a money value that is displayed to the web page.
I am doing:
Math.Round(value, 2);
Is there a way to force it to 2 numbers after the decimal?
I have a column in gridview which displays float values. But while the same value in chart I need to round off to nearest whole number and display it in chart.
i.e if it is 12.6745 then it should be 13
<asp:Series IsValueShownAsLabel="True" Legend="Legend1" Name="(%)"
XValueMember="Test" YValueMembers="PERCENT">

I have the following stored procedure
[Code]....
MOVE_MOD is defined as a float.
Yet within Dataclasses.designer.cs the function gets added as:
[Code]....
Naturally this is causing some issues as my C# code needs to handle decimal values. If I try to manually change the designer code to use floats, I get the following error
'System.Single' is not a valid return type for a mapped stored procedure method.
i dont understand where is the problem with my code. i need to pass the request_id to another page but it is always passing the integer values as 0. whenever it comes to pass integer values it is passing it as 0 even if i perform conversion of string to int.

I want to retrieve the text as 'Sunday', 'Monday' when the day values is given as an integer such as 1,2,...etc...
Without using swich-case, how do I do this using DayOfWeek enum?
i have textbox it should accept only integer or float values..........
View 1 Repliesi have atable:

and stored procedure like this:
ALTER procedure [dbo].[AddMonthlyMarks]
(
@STDNo nvarchar(6),
@CID nvarchar(7),
@Dno int =isnull,
@H1 int,
@H2 int,..........................
the Data key name of grid is STDNo the problem is that the instructor this month will add only homework1(h1) for specific student number or to all students and rest of home works and quezies will not entered (Null), to the next month he will enter home work 2 ,etc... i get an error and i think that the null values for others home works in grid make this error caution: in table i check allow null property,the data type is integer How i can convert this null values to integer?
How do I sort a data table based on a particular column which has integer values in ascending order?
I wrote this:
'Sort the datatable based on sequence id leadtable.DefaultView.Sort ="Id" But it doesnt seem to work Datatble is defined as:

I want to split a string that taking both string and integer values like (Cmp_12). I want to use them in Separately.
View 4 RepliesI'm doing projects related to education, and I do not know how display mathematical formula? And Editor or component support Math Equation?. I'm using ASP.NET MVC 2.0 .
View 2 RepliesIs there any solution in ASP.NET/C# or Jquery for writing math equations as MathML is not very well supported by browsers.
View 2 RepliesI'm having an issue with my ASP.NET RangeValidator controls.
I want to allow users to enter a discount amount, and this amount must be negative (< $0.00). I want to verify that the amount entered in a textbox is a negative value, so I have this in my page markup:
<asp:TextBox ID="tbxDiscount" runat="server" />
<asp:RangeValidator ID="rvDiscount" runat="server" ControlToValidate="tbxDiscount"
MinimumValue="0.0" MaximumValue="0.0" EnableClientScript="true"
ErrorMessage="Please enter a negative value for a discount" />
and I attempt to set the MinimumValue dynamically in my code before the page gets rendered - to the negative equivalent of my item price. So if the item is $69, I want to set the minimum value to - $69:
rvDiscount.MinimumValue = (-1.0m * Price).ToString();
Trouble is: I keep getting this error message:
The maximum value 0.0 cannot be less
than the minimum value -69.00 for
rvDiscount
WTF?!?!??! Where I come from, -69 $ IS less than $0 ...... so what's the problem?
I'm currently develop a monitoring and evaluation database with many indicators
For example: I have two input indicator : car , truck
Input_IndicatorID quantity
Car 3
Truck 2
I'd like to create an output indicator have field: formular. The result of vehicle = car + truck = 5
Output_indicatorID formular
Vehicle Car + truck
I don't now how to parse this string, detect parameter: car, truck to get the answer
I search on Google and find some Math parse like: muParser, bcnet but it just for a string
I have to display math symbols in the label text for checkbox. I have created the symbol in MSWord but dont know how is can do that in the website.Is there anyway I can do that.

Is it possible to perform an update command which performs addition using a value from a textbox? For example: User inputs a number into TextBox1 (I use regular expression validation to ensure this is an integer).
[Code]....
Basically if the user inputs 5 into TextBox1, I want the update command to subtract 5 from that user's ballance.
i want to round g value to 100,200,300 from 169,278,325.i'm trying to do it by getting the first letter and multiply with 100 like that.for example

i am not good at javascript, but trying to implement or google up a function that would only allow characters in a textbox to have
1. only numeric characters
2. 2 decimal places.
I got this online, but it slices the 3rd decimal, i want it to allow only 2 decimals, any pointers ?

tried the following:
public void UpdatePlayer(int id)
{
Player player = new Player() {ID = id};
player.Password = "12";
Entities.Players.Attach(player);
Entities.SaveChanges();
}
No change at the db.
I'm trying to get my decimals to display with four decimal places. The DB rounds my number to 4 decimal places, but it returns the number with trailing 0s (due to the decimal precision of the field), so something like 9.45670000. Then, when I do this:
string.Format("{0:#,#.####}", decimalValue);
The output I get on the page is 9.4567, which is what I want.
However, if the number returned from DB is 9.45600000, the output after doing the format is 9.456
But what I need to display is 9.4560
How do I format my decimal, so that the number of decimal places is always four?
UPDATE: Also, is it possible to use a variable (instead of .0000) if I wanted the number of decimal places to be determined dynamically?
