I have a databound gridview in which i have added a template field to display a calcultion. I have created a rowdatabound event in which I want to perform a calculation, but don't know how. The calculation is as follows:
First, it should take the sum of all the payments made by a given customer. It then should divide this value by a daily membership rate, returning a days paid variable. Finally, it should add that variable to the customer since field and calculate the date that the customer is paid through.
I have following codebehind in ASPx - VB.Net in my aspx project, i want sum a template column (txtAmount) to show another TXSum template (without any postback) any one give me a better soluation in javascript.
I hosted my web application in IIS on windows server. Also i did mod_aspdotnet(i configured my aspx in httpd.conf of apache server in a linux box).now when i hit the URL of linux box...Im able ot view my aspx....but the problem is no button click event id fired and ASP validators are not working and the javascript written by me also not working.
I have 5 gridviews, all of of them have a Checkbox template field. I already did SUM of a specific column in the gridviews and displayed the Total in the gridview footers.
There is a submit button on the page as well.(this is not in a template column in the gridview)
what i do is select some rows in the gridviews by ticking the checkbox. Then I click on the submit button and the values change in the database and page refreshes with the new Total in the gridview footers. Any row that was ticked. the checkbox for that row in the gridview gets disabled. so cannot change the value again.
Now i want a way to show a popup with a SUM of those rows that are ticked recently and the SUM of already ticked and disabled rows before the values change for the ticked rows in the gridview when the submit button is clicked.
how to use regular expression in vbscript to validate username field. ie it should have minimum of 4 characters and at the same time it should contain minimum of 3 ALPHABETS. ie
1234 - not allowed abc1 -allowed
My code
dim regObj,retVal set regObj = new RegExp regObj.Pattern ="[A-Za-z0-9_s]{4,}" regObj.IgnoreCase = true regObj.Global=True retVal = regObj.Test(sString)
i have created a program which saves login and logout time for a project.there may be more 2 login for a same project.i need to store the total working time for a particular project from all login/logout time.then for the same date there may be more than one entry.Ex:
Project name: Test User name: Login time: Logout time: Total Time: logout-login Date:date of login
this is a format of table in database..more than one user will work for the project.there may more than one entry for a day by different users for same project.i need to put a chart for this table with date in x axis and total working time for that date in y-axis.How to calculate the values for this constraints
my code is calculate to current rowafter update quantity but other rows don't affect and not calculate i need to calculate all rows i think i need to use for loops but i dont know how to do it
i want regular expression for my password field 1. which will not allow to enter two same consecutive charcters 2. it should contain min 8 charcters.3. should contain atleast 2 numeric charcters and if possible code for not allowing user to enter comman passwords
I have an Entity class which has a Dictionary of fields called Data. Now I want to sort Entities by a field in Data. I was able to verify the Linq expression for using fields in a dictionary as e.Data["UserId"] as this seemed to work perfectly when I used LINQ to Objects. e.g. Entities.OrderBy(e => e.Data["UserId"])
However this same expression does not generate the correct NHibernate criteria and errors out finally with a NullReferenceException for propertyName at Hibernate.Loader.Criteria.CriteriaQueryTranslator.GetEntityName(ICriteria subcriteria, String propertyName)in CriteriaQueryTranslator.cs: line 541.
On debugging through NHibernate code, I figured that NHibernate.Linq.Visitors.MemberNameVisitor.GetMemberName(ICriteria rootCriteria, Expression expr) returns a null string in place of the field name after visiting expr using its visitor. This seems to be the cause of grief. I am using an older version of NHibernate (2.1). Are there any limitations in the NHibernate Linq visitor I should be aware of?
I need to get two fields from a database table (retrieved using linq-to-sql), one field is a datetime (and is a fixed field) and the other is always a decimal, but the field can be different.
The table holds currency data which is processed twice a day and in different currencies so could have fields such as AM_USD, PM_USD, AM_EUR etc. And I need to get data such as a list of the date against PM_USD or the date against AM_EUR.
I would like to be able to call the data using a lambda expression for example (this is a stripped out example):
data = TableData.Select(x=>new {x.DateTimeAdded, x.[**field name as string**]});
I have been trying to write a function to do this, and am failing dismally.
in my asp.net_vb web there is a text box (textbox1) in which a date is dispalyed from database (eg 21-Mar-2012) in another text box (textbox2) Â i want to display
if the date is less than 30 Jun then the textbox2 should display 1 Jul+the year of textbox1
if the textbox1 date is greater than 30 Jun the text box2 should display 1 Dec + the year of textbox1
We are using regular expression and required field validators. They work fine, especially in out of the box environments like the log in control.
When used on other controls, e.g. a textbox, they also work, but we note that the whole site is in effect shut down until the expression is valid. I.e. the user cannot click cancel, or a link. The site only starts working again after the expression has been made valid.
How can this be fixed?
The validators should only apply to the control to validate and to the control that would cause the value of that control to be posted back to the server (e.g. a button), not the whole site.
I have to display math symbols in the label text for checkbox. I have created the symbol in MSWord but dont know how is can do that in the website. Is there anyway I can do that.
Say I have a table Comments with these columns: Id, Comment, Category, CreatedDate, CommenterIdI want to get the top 5 categories from the Comments table (based on the count of each category in that table). How can I do this in linq, to return either List or IQueryable?
Dim query as String = "Select * from openquery (devbook, 'SELECT wb.arrival_time FROM web_bookings wb ')"All I need is to convert my arrival_time into a datetime field in the query
As I know, the inline expression in the attributes of server control can't be parsed but the binding expression should if we invoke the DataBind method. But the above case breaks the rule.
I am using ASP.NET 2008 Visual Basic Language. I tried to create a function that multiply two values from two different tables and get the result presented in a label. The value is retrieved by referring to the primary key after the user selects from a DropDownList which is in another page using sessions.
I tried to build this code in the Load_Page event but it didn't display for me the total.
I'm trying to use the validator to work on a email form to ensure that they enter a valid from email address. That part works. I also want to add to the expression the text that I pre-populate in the txtbox ("Enter your email address") so on postback, after sending the message, I can clear the fields and repopulate that box.
How do I add that wording to the current expression: w+([-+.']w+)*@w+([-.]w+)*.w+([-.]w+)*
I am using Regular Expression validator for a text box. The below is working fine.It is not performing validation when I enter values like 0000..001.How can I modify validation expression? But it would allow values like 100,...5000 i.e zeros after a number.
<asp:RegularExpressionValidator ID="reg2" runat="server" ControlToValidate="rng2" ValidationExpression="^[0-9]+" ErrorMessage="*Please Enter a Valid Number for Second Range." ForeColor="Red" Font-Bold="True"></asp:RegularExpressionValidator>
I am saving users information in Sql Server 2005 Database. The problems are:1. If a user selects 1/Jan/1990 then in the Age column of the database automatically 23 should be saved i.e users age, how do I calculate the age and use it in the query? 2. The format of DateofBirth column is incorrect it should be 1/Jan/1990 inspite of2013-01-01 00:00:00.000. The data type is Datetime
