I tried setup n deployment package type project and it created .msi file.while installing this it create all the files which are lying in the project application. But i want to send all the files in complied format only not directly code files.
How could i convert the aspx.cs files into nonreadable complied files..

Dec 31, 2010I have a website in asp.net4.0 with database in sqlexpress 2008 and host it On server with DotNetPanel.but I get error 500 when i try to view it.the problem is my web.config surely.but i can't find the mistake,thus I set custom error to off.but yet iI couldn't found the problem.the bold texts represents the codes that i have added to text.my site don't haveany security or don't use the roles and other.

I do not know if I need to have different versions of the web pages placed in different projects within a single solution or if I need to put different versions in a single project within multiple solutions. I need to be able to build and publish each version separately as an independent website for uploading into a different server. What should I do?

Feb 2, 2011I have been trying to make a program work with our IIS server, but it's run into a tricky problem that's been driving me nuts. When I debug the program, everything works perfectly; users are able to log in and they see the appropriate content according to the user's role. When logging in from a remote location, however, the program seems to have trouble finding the users' roles. Users can log in, but they cannot see any role-specific information, so they are stuck on the login page forever.
I tried adding a line of code to find the roles of a particular user. In debug mode, it returned the roles correctly, but when accessed through the server, it returned an empty array that caused my site to crash.

If I type the url (localhost:port) in the browser, I get the following error:

HTTP Error 404 - Not Found.
and if I copy and paste the /asp.netwebadminfiles to the url (localhost:port/asp.netwebadminfiles), the page loads with the following message:

Step 1: Create a new ASP.NET website. Add a button control to the Default.aspx.
Step 2: Right click the project > Add New Item > Web Configuration File
Add the following sample entry to the appSettings section in the web.config between the <configuration> tag as shown in the example 1:

Step 3: To read these entries using JavaScript, add the following script in the <head> tag of your Default.aspx page as shown below:
