I have Cross Tab in a report In database I have time in minutes. I have created a formula which converts minutes to hours. But Summary is correct but it is not in correct format i.e, in time format for every 60 it should round to 1 but this summary is rounding 100 to 1.

View 2 RepliesThis is really frustrating. Upgraded report to Crystal 2008, and the filters on month/year are being ignored. This report is a simple cross-tab. We have a worker data table, with each row containing a date, a worker id, and various counts to be listed by worker, and then a summary for each row. The columns are the worker's name.Parameters are report month and year, so I have a group filter that month(report_date) = param month and same for year.The report does ask for the parameter input, but then ignores it and summarizes every record in the worker data across all time.So, for example, my user Frank has data in the worker table for each month from Janaury 2008 to December 2010, and he shows up when I run the report for January 2011.Prior to upgrading, the report worked great; it would filter out the records by input month and year and then summarize. I neither understand why this changed, nor the new right way to apply filters for cross-tabs.

I have a crystal report as reportDoc. In reportDoc.ExportToDisk function it is asking only file name. So let me where should I mention path and how should store in my server folder. I want that file to be saved in particular folder in server in pdf format. Report is converting to pdf. I have no problems in converting. View 1 RepliesWhen I click on the export button and get the pop-up where you choose the export format....when I choose the Crystal Reports format and click ok,the contents of that pop-up window is now the same as the page where I clicked the export button along with an 'Access Denied' message above the tool bar.
If I choose any other export format,this does not happen and I get the expected dialog where I can choose to open or save the export file.It seems to be a permissions issue, but I can't figure out what CR is trying access that it doesn't have permissions for.

View 1 RepliesIam working on a banking web application developed in asp.net 3.5 and MS SQL Server 2008.My problem is to create reports including some pre-formatted reports,summary reports and some detail reports.I want to know what is the best technique to create these reports.I don't want to use third party reporting tools as they have to be configured on the web server and some times they takes lot of time in generating reports due to their complex structure.Since its a web application having large recordsets so i need a consistent solution keeping in mind the performance and complex nature of the reports which might be demanded by the banks.Can anyone help me please in this regard?
View 2 RepliesIn our program, we are exporting crystal report (ExportToStream method) in html format and sendind via email body contents.
The email is showing correct format i.e same format as like format showing in crystal report viewer.
But when the user, farwarding the same email to any other person, the format is totally collapsed. All lines are moving up and text parts showing down with out proper alignment.
How to resolve this issue?
I'm new to Visual Studio.NET . I need to integrate the crystal reports into an ASP.NET application. I generated Crystal report with the help of crystal report XI developer edition(Stand alone version and NOT from the one which comes from visual studio).
How to integrate this report with the web application.
We have quite a few reports which were developed earlier in Crystal Reports 8.5. We are now planning to use these reports in our web application developed in VS 2008 (C#).
What dlls are needed for calling 8.5 in the application and how should they be added to the application while shipping it to the client?
They are also struggling to get the code running. Would also need the code to call the report with parameters.
I have already generated crystal reports but i've made them static. but now i want to make the user to select the criteria for generating the reports. for eg., in one of them i want to show monthwise data so user should be able to select the month and year and that would be passed as parameter and compared to the existing data. provide me with proper exact code that can be used for giving parameters in such a report using C#.

I can't run a MSI to deploy the CR runfiles.I can't find anywhere in the CR user manual of how to deploy the runtime files without running the msi, and I'm not even sure it's possible.Have anyone deployed CR 2008 without running the MSI and without having to register any files?
View 8 RepliesI have a field in my dataset with type nvarchar(1000). when I link it to crystal reports, it converts it to a field of type string with length set to 100. As a result of that, the string in that field is being truncated on the report. How can I increase the string length to 1000? (I already checked the "Can grow" option).
