this is an image of structure of my crystal report and the result of it as you can see, there are no space between the label "auditor" and the beginning of section2, but then i run it, crystal insert some blank rows in it how can i do to delete this space?
I have an issue while working with a Crystal Report 10.0 I am printing a Students records in a pre-define format. now the detail section is dymaically change beacuse of No. of records for the studentsfor some students there are 8 record ,& for some other students only 2 records are theirbecause i am printing on pre defined format when 2 records comes in the details section it is placing the reords at wrong places
View 1 RepliesI have a report, which has two sections namely Labour and Spares.In labour section no of records per page must be limited to 5 records and the Spares section have to limit to 10 records per page.If either Labour or Parts exceed the max limit the records must be shown in the next page.
Limiting one section by using formulas can be done easily ...but it is very difficult control two sections simultaneously.
Actually i am creating 1 sofware in which i need to print bill. On that bill my page header (company's name) is constant & on Report footer (companys rule & some more data) is also constant. & my Detail section is varying. On bill if data is short, my footer goes upside.
I need to fixed my detail section so that position of detail section will be maintained.
or
I need to fixed my footer section so that position of footer section will be maintained.
now which is the solution form above 2? . and how to implement?
I have the following tables:ACTNUM in ACT1 and ACT2 is linked to ACTNUM in ACT0. I am using ACT0.ACTNUM for grouping (I want to display all MEMOTEXT and all Desc for each ACTNUM). the poblem is that I am getting duplicate values in the details section although the dataset is being filled without those duplicate values.

Like this . But now it is displaying

i have applied page margin setting as
Top Margin 0.25 in
Left Margin 0.02 in
Bottom Margin 0.17 in
Right Margin 0.42 in
all are fine without Bottom Margin. Bottom Margin will come with more space without considering 0.17 in. I think that it may be happened that the detail section i have a rectangle box object. Inside this box have data from data base. I want to print this box as 3 times in a page with three records. all are fine.I adjested maxium to fit the box in details section to dispaly three times in a page. But when i wil get the print out the three box will come with 3 times. But after the three rectangle box ,the footer of the page will take some extra space.
I don't want to print pagefooter,page header,report header, report footer at all. i am suppressed these things.
I want to know why it is came with some more space on the footer.?
How to solve the issue?
And tell me the C#.Net code for pageHeader Suppress,report header suppress,report footer suppress,page footer
When i run the application locally it works fine but when i publish it n access from it it gives the error asEither the Crystal Reports registry key permissions are insufficient or the Crystal Reports runtime is not installed correctly.

How to integrate this report with the web application.
We have quite a few reports which were developed earlier in Crystal Reports 8.5. We are now planning to use these reports in our web application developed in VS 2008 (C#).
What dlls are needed for calling 8.5 in the application and how should they be added to the application while shipping it to the client?
They are also struggling to get the code running. Would also need the code to call the report with parameters.
I have already generated crystal reports but i've made them static. but now i want to make the user to select the criteria for generating the reports. for eg., in one of them i want to show monthwise data so user should be able to select the month and year and that would be passed as parameter and compared to the existing data. provide me with proper exact code that can be used for giving parameters in such a report using C#.

I can't run a MSI to deploy the CR runfiles.I can't find anywhere in the CR user manual of how to deploy the runtime files without running the msi, and I'm not even sure it's possible.Have anyone deployed CR 2008 without running the MSI and without having to register any files?
View 8 RepliesI have a field in my dataset with type nvarchar(1000). when I link it to crystal reports, it converts it to a field of type string with length set to 100. As a result of that, the string in that field is being truncated on the report. How can I increase the string length to 1000? (I already checked the "Can grow" option).

I'm working on a site that ws developed using VS 2005 and the server where the site is running has Crystal Reports for .net 2.0 (ver 10.2.36)I will be making changes. I just ported the website to my local computer, and build the site using VS 2008, that comes with Crystal R. Basic.I haven't tested all the functionality of the site, so I'm not sure since all the pages that use C. Reports work ok.My main concern is about publishing the site I compiled to the server. Will things work, if I have Crystal R. Basic and the server has Crystal R. for .net 2.0.

I have a web application designed using VS2008 & Crystal Reports for VS2008 (Ver. 10.5.3700). I'm using Framework 2.0 for deployment.
My development system is WinXp and my deployment system is Win2003 Server.
Here is what i have done -
1) Added a Crystal Report to my project "rptReport.rpt"
2) Added a Crystal Report Source (crSource) to my .aspx page.
3) Added Crystal Report Viewer to my page, with crSource as its Report Source.
This works fine when i run it on my development machine. But Gives a "Load Report Failed" error on my deployment machine.
This is what i have already tried doing on deployment server:
1) Giving IIS_WPG full control to temp folder.
2) Publishing with "Allow this precompiled site to be updatable." checked/unchecked.
Crystal reports are properly working on my local pc but not on server. I am using vs 2008 and install crystal report for Visual basic 2008 on server.but parameter count for CrystalReport is zero on server.
