Data Controls :: AJAX Pie Chart Not Displaying Properly With More Data
Apr 3, 2014
I use Ajax Pie Chart in Asp.net,it's works but when data became large then chart not fill properl. Also note this problem in your post of Ajax pie chart previous week, if Select Italy then fill fully but when select Finland then not fill Completely....
I am using the Chart control that is part of the newest version of ASP.NET. In this Chart, I have 3 Spline series. Each series consists of a nullable in array (int?[]). If the element in the array is a number, I wants it point plotted. However, in the case that the value is null, I do not want it plotted. Is there a way to do this? If so, how?
I have created a stackedbar chart that has the points populated in code behind. Each stacked group consists of 2 series. When I run the chart everything displays correctly except there is only one label on the xaxis. I have tried setting the xaxis label text to the name for each series but all this does is change it to the first series name, and not even under the correct position. Setting the series labels to enabled shows the correct data on the correct bars, but I would like it on the xaxis!
Tried changing the xaxis interval to 1 which seems to be a common issue for people but to no avail. Is it because I'm using a new series for each bar? Is there a way to label stack groups on the xaxis instead of one of the series?
I am working on a project, and I wish to use a master page. I want to experiment with it first. I add a master page; then, I add a default page. I copy some text and paste it in the default page, and I type this is the master page on the master page. When I run the project, the text in the default page always appear on top. How do I get the data on the default page to display to the right of the page, and the text on the master page to appear to the left.
Also, I tried it using menu. I got the same result. The menu was on the master page, but it was displayed at the bottom of the default's page text. I added three pages and was able to naviage between the pages. When I navigated to the second page without text, the menu appeared on the left. I added some text to the second page, and it does the same.
I have a website that is written in VB.NET (Visual Web Developer 2010 Express.) One aspx page has a Chart control that accesses a MySQL database on my server Windows Server 2008 R2, IIS 7.
When run on the development machine (my laptop) the Chart displays the data correctly. However, when the website is copied to my server, the chart does not display the data, but the chart is rendered.
My code to load the data:
'GET RECORDS OF PREVIOUS MONTH Do Until MyDayCount = MyDayEnd Dim Sql As String = "SELECT SUM(DiffWatt) FROM consumptrans WHERE Day='" & MyDayCount & "' AND Month='" & MyPreviousMonth & "' AND Year='" & MyPrevYear & "'AND ClientID='" & UserName & "'" cmd = New MySqlClient.MySqlCommand(Sql, con)
I have an Accordion control with the following markup:
[Code]....
Here is how it displays...IE8:FireFox:As you can see, in IE it acts as if I've set the AutoSize to "Limit". I know there is this known issue with IE6 and IE7:The AutoSize "Limit" mode works exactly the same as the "Fill" mode for Internet Explorer 6 and 7 because they do not support the max-height CSS property. Does this also extend to IE8? If not, what is the problem?
I am using a ASP.Net Editor on the website I am developing. For some reason, it doesnt like special characters like german umlaut (ö, ä, ü) or "ß". It renders it allright during typing, but when I postback the page all I get back looks like this when I access the editor.content-property:
special characters:<br /> [....lots of square brackets....] <br />
using a different editor like freetextbox doesnt seems to have a problem with that. but I cant believe the microsoft-editor doesnt support that. its probably a setting in xml-configuration file or something like that.
I want to display Chinese character in text box in Ajax Update Panel. But now i am getting error message as below.

I have an issue in using dot net chart control. In chart last column is not completely shown which give bad appearance and on right side of chart it looks like TickMark are enabled. I set MajorTickMark of AxisY2 disabled but still tick marks on right side.
I have a drop downlist, and next to it there is an MS bar chart.i want to change the datate of the MS chart ,once the user selects another year from the dropdownlist.
When the page loads ,the chart displays the default year(2011) and it works. The problem is that is does not change the data when you select another year from the dropdownlist.
I am using MS Chart control (3.5), and have a requirement where I need to display 2 pie charts. The datapoints for the pie charts is set programatically. My doubts are as follows:
1. Can I display both the pie charts in a single chart control and area, or do I have to use two controls? (Currently I am using two controls)
2. How can I maintain the same size for both the pie charts? This is my main concern, since the pie sizes keep changing, depending on the number of datapoints. I tried using custom properties like "MinimumRelativePieSize", but it's not working.
i'm trying to create a stacked bar chart on a vb web form using vs2010.My data source returns:
Error in Functionality Awaiting on Supplier
1IMT IssuesmActive6
IMT Issues,Awaiting on Supplier
2,IMT Issues,Awaiting on User 4
IMT Issues Closed 120
Login / Password Active
But I can't get this into a stacked chart. I know I must have to do quite a bit of work declaring what the series are and soforth, or having a different dataset but can't find any documentation on it.A link to some documentation or an example of a stacked chart from an sql datasource would be much appreciated.
I started using the awesome chart controls with my asp.net apps recently and so far they've been nothing short of breath taking. Right now I have a weird problem, on the first load of my page, the chart control appears correctly and the tooltip is correct, however, when I update it with new data, the chart displays correctly, but the tooltips are for the previous set of data.
I hope this makes sense. The first time I load the chart, the pie chart segments and tooltips are correct, after a partial postback (to get the new data), the pie chart segments are correct but the tooltips are for the previous data set.
Basically once the tooltips are set the first time, they can't be updated after that without a full page postback.
Here's how I set the tooltip:
[Code]....
Anyone else noticed this behaviour and have a work around?
Currently my only workaround is to check for a partial postback and not render the tooltip, which I'd rather not do as the tooltip display actual statistical data as opposed to the pie itself (which uses percentages).
I'm trying to build a chart in my application which will act as a client for an ASP.NET 3.5 web service that I created. The error I get is as follows:
Series data points do not support values of type System.Data.DataViewManagerListItemTypeDescriptor only values of these types can be used: Double, Decimal, Single, int, long, uint, ulong, String, DateTime, short, ushort.
I've tried various ways to resolve this but can't. This error points at the chtStats.DataBind() line in the code below:
I am new to Chart controls and I'm trying to display a label (text) for a datapoint in a chart instead of a value.
I'm using the following code to load the datapoints and to add label information for each point (each label will be different).
But when the chart is displayed all datapoint labels are blank (if I use the first line of code) or the labels are all the same, containing the last rows value (if I use the 2nd line of code).
Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? Is there something in the .aspx that I need to set?
[Code]....
For example:
I have 3 rows in my grid with the label data: "Cat", "Dog", "Mouse". But the label in my chart is blank for all points when I use the first line of code and when I use the second line of code the label is "Mouse" for all points.
I can successfully add graphs to any pages in my MVC solution except any pages within the Project Folder - I have no idea why as the same code works in every other folder - the image of the graph in the Project folder renders just a red cross - can anyone think of anything it could be? - I had a colleague check I wasnt going daft and the code looks the same and the page only has a graph.
I ripped out all the code so that the index page only has a graph within the Project folder and yet it still doesnt render correctly.
ASP.Net Page layout is not displaying properly in QA machine but is displaying correctly in Dev Machine. What could be the issue? We are using ASP.Net 2.0
In my web forms application I have a site.master page with an update panel (Java Script ToolKit). Inside the update panel I have a survey and a columns chart to show its results. The chart properties are
When the user votes, his/her vote is stored in a sql server table The chart is rebound to its data source The chart visibility is set to true and the survey's questions are hidden. I've been trying to set the columns for the maximum and minimum values to a different color using the code I found in "Samples Environment for Microsoft Chart Controls" [URL] under Working with Chart Data Data Manipulation Finding Data Points Find Maximum and Minimum Values:
[Code]....
I have not got the columns to change their color. I have put the code inside every event handler I could think of (after it failed to work inside the page load event handler): Inside the chart Init, load, and pre_render handlers. Inside the click event handler for the voting button (before and after I call the chart.DataBind() method). Inside the page pre_render handler. Inside the ToolKitScriptManager pre_render handler. I checked the code behind the environment samples. All, to no avail.
