Jan 24, 2016I have dynamically popute the data in Dropdownlist(Countries) and the On selected index event of Dropdownlist there is noeed to bind /populate the Checkbox list from database depending on the selections made from the Dropdownlist.
For example If I select Gujrata then all the cities of Gujrat should be visible and bounded to the check box list.
2) Once the checkbox list is bounded with data from the database, We need to select the checkbox from the checkboxlist and pass tyhe selected text of all the selected checkboxes fro the checkbox list as comma seperated values to database and then I need to Display in the Grid.
Below is my code for Dynamically populated/Bind DropDown list and get the States:

I bind the 7 column name in one dropdownlist.
Now the problem is,how do I extract the data value in a dropdownlist?
For example,
Dropdownlist contain 7 column name
-subject_name
-subject_code
-venue
-time
-seat_no
-admission_no
-subject_id
when I click the subject_name,I want it to appear in a gridview

in the area table 991 recordes are exists I am binding area onchange of City dropdown but records is not binding only showing loadding than I changed my storeprocedure write qurey to select top 673 records now area is binding but if I remove "top" from select its showing loading in area dropdown.

Feb 16, 2011i am running with an unfamilier issue with jquery ajax and wcf service . i have created a simple wcf service and trying to show it on a asp.net label... the wcf service just returns a string which has to b shown on a label. the url has been set on jquery ajax url to call the wcf service using rest. but somehow i am not getting the desired thing done . the ajax cannot retrieve the data from the wcf service , here are the code snippets.

The code all works like a champ when I use the JavaScript on the ASPX page for proof of concept, but when I place the JavaScript in the userControl and then put the userControl on the ASPX page, it breaks.
The next foreseeable thing that will potentially complicate things further is that the userControl will be inside of an updatePanel

So it is throwing:
DropDownList ddlAccountingPeriod = e.Row.FindControl("ddlAccountingPeriod") as DropDownList;
UIControlHelper.BindApprovalPeriod(ddlAccountingPeriod);
this throws a null exception as the dropdown is not present in the ItemTemplate.
Is there a way to check whether it is itemtemplate or edititemtemplate.
