So i called same function of table creation on page load, but then it shows error that textbox is having duplicate id

Having deployed a new build of an ASP.NET site in a production environment, I am logging dozens of data errors every second, almost always with the error "Cannot find table 0." We use datasets and frequently refer to Table[0], and while I understand the defensive coding practice of checking the dataset for tables before accessing Table[0], it's never been a problem in the past. A certain page will load fine one second, and then be missing one of its data-driven components the next. Just seeing if this rings a bell for anyone. More detail: I used a different build server this time, and while I imagine the compiler settings are the same on both, I have a hard time thinking that there's a switch that makes 50% of my database calls come back with no tables. I also switched the project to VS 2008, but then reverted all of those changes when I switched back to VS 2005. I notice that the built assembly has a new MyLibrary.XmlSerializers.dll, where it didn't used to, but I also can't imagine that that's causing all the trouble. (It also doesn't fall down on calls to MyLibrary, or at least no more than any other time.)
Updated to add: I've discovered that the troublesome build is a "Release" build, where the working build was compiled as "Debug". Could that explain it? Rolling back to the build before these changes fixed it. (Rebooting the SQL Server, the step we tried before that, did not.)
The trouble also seems to be load-based - this cruised through our integration and QA environments without a problem, and even our smoke test environment - the one that points to production data - is fine under light load. Does this have the distinguishing characteristics of anything you might have seen in the past?
I´m looking for some advice on how to create an table showing bookings, a table containing mon-sun on the horizontal axis and times at the vertical. The admin is able to edit each days bookable times (first bookable time, last bookable time) - The slottime is constant.
What I want is let the admin click on eacha cell to remove it/add it when removed. And other features as well, like create an booking for a customer.
What would be the easiest way to achive this, at the moment I use dynamic links since I cant get asp:buttons to work and the code to create an dynamic asp:table row by row and this produces some ugly code.
So any advice on how to achive such an "schedule".
I have a service that runs to error below. It errors at two methods one at timer_elapsed because it in turn is calling another method
GetFolderAndAddWatcher(). I' m tring to debug this and unable to figure out why? Here is my code for these two methods. I know that it is not able to find the data set but cannot figure out how I could fix this

Basically i deal with two tables.i have a table T1 of the following format:id company_name i need to read this data and create a table T2 as followsi wrote the following code. it worked fine for retrieving data and modification but fails to insert the modified data into the 2nd table.the error is, it does not recognise the value for @token
ArrayList dynarr=new ArrayList(); // global variable protected void Button2_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { int row = 1; int i; string strcmd = null; string Connection = "Data Source=...."; SqlConnection conn = new SqlConnection(Connection); string str = "select company_name from T1 where ID=@ID"; [code]...
I am fairly new to ASP.Net and web programming in general and I am having issues trying to add values from a dropdown list in my gridview to another table.
Here is my scenario. I have 2 tables in my SQL Express DB. When editing the values of table2 in a gridview, I would like to show some data from table1 in a dropdown so users can select a value from table 1 and enter that value in table 2.
I have the Gridview setup to show table2 data.
I created a field template and inserted my dropdown list and linked it to my table1 data source.
When I run my web form, I can click to edit one of the fields in the gridview, and my dropdown list correctly displays the data from table 1, but when I try to update the table2 with the dropdown value, it doesn't correctly update. The row in table2 never updates.
posting the dropdown value from table 1 into the appropriate field in table2..
Again, I am new to this and have been following the tutorials etc on this site, but can't find one pertaining to this topic.
I am working on a web app for an online photo album. It is the last project in Scott Mitchell's book: "ASP.Net 2.0 in 24 hours".
I am creating a page where users can enter new photo images. The functionality for uploading an image will come later. I am working on just inserting a new row into the Pictures table with an optional category, a required title and a required description.
I am getting an error when I try to insert a new row.
Here is a screenshot of the page with a shot of the dropdown list.
The Categories are user-specific. I am getting the correct values retrieved.
[URL]
There are two pretty simple database tables involved here.
NOTE: The CategoryID and PIctureID are both autoincrement integer columns.
[URL]
The page uses a DetailsView that uses a SqlDataSource that uses the Pictures table. (The DetailsView's Default Mode property is set to "Insert". The "Enable Inserting" checkbox is also checked.)
The dropdown list uses a dropdown control that uses a SqlDataSource that uses the Categories table.
When the "Insert" button is clicked the CategoryID value associated with selected (Category) Name on the dropdown list will be used along with the Title and Description values to insert a row in to the Pictures table. (If no Category value is selected, then a null value will be used for the CategoryID. This is OK because the CategoryID column in the Pictures table allows nulls.)
My problem is that I am getting this error:
Cannot insert explicit value for identity column in table 'Pictures' when IDENTITY_INSERT is set to OFF.
(FYI: I have the full version of both Visual Studio and SQL Server.)
This has been driving me crazy for a while! I have a table with each cell having an id such as cell1, cell2, cell3, etc.
I am trying to assign data to cells through a loop so i have something like this
[Code]....
The problem is that after asp.net assigns a ClientID to the cells I am no longer able to find them because they get names like ct100_gameContent_cell1. Does anyone know how I can solve this problem??
I'm getting the error "Cannot Find Table 0" when executing an INSERT INTO sql statement. The fishy part is that the code half works -- the new information is submitted to the database. Here the code in question:
May you tell me how can I transfer data from a table to another table, the condition of non-repetition rows

Object reference not set to an instance of an object. when I try to access these dynamically created controls using FindControl.
I have a dynamically created control within a table cell. The table itself is contained within a page that has a master page. I've tried so many different ways to access this control.
Below is the latest iteration
AttrTable is the asp table, and row.Attr_Type is the name I've given to the control (it iterates through a datatable to set the names for the control)
tmpVal = CType(AttrTable.FindControl("TD_" & row.Attr_Type).FindControl(row.Attr_Type), DropDownList).Text Below are various ways I've tried to access the control: Dim form As Control = Page.Master.FindControl("form1") Dim content1 = form.FindControl("ContentPlaceHolder1")
When the page loads I am able to click the add button and it moves the selected person from one dataset to the next. If I then try to move another person I get the error message 'Cannot find table 0'. I have changed the text to bold where the error occurs.
i created dynamically a table with in a function... this table is added to a panel. and this panel is in ajax updatepanel... statically i have given no of rows as 3, for that table... in page_load my table with 3 rows is created.... but i cannot identify this table in another button click event...
I am trying to create strogly typed datasets for my project. When I right click on the xsd file that I need to generate a strongly typed dataset for I can't find the 'Advanced' properties as described in the below article (almost half way down)[URL]As I do not see the Advanced properties option I can't find the 'Custom Tool' property/option to set its value to 'MSDatasetGenerator'. Do I have to install some kind of patch on my VS 2005?
I have an asp:table control that I construct dynamically. I place a few textboxes in it within a for loop and assign their IDs in code. I'll include an abbreviated code fragment showing how I'm doing this:
[Code]....
The page then displays correctly and the ID is set correctly when I view the source, but when I try to access the textbox later when the form is submitted the call to FindControl(idStr) returns null no matter what I do.
