Data Controls :: Check For Duplicate Values When Adding Data Using JQuery AJAX
Aug 18, 2015
Below is my function which insert textbox value into grid view .this work fine .
Now I want to compare grid view row with textbox value if already exist in grid view then it give me massage already exist with same name means duplicate data cannot insert into grid view
I have webform which has insert button to insert/Add new record into my database table. It works fine but the problem is that I have a unique field name of the field is txtQuotes ,The user should not be able to insert a record that contains the same value for that field. How can I check for duplicate?
I have a detail view form consist of five fields my 1st field is jobnumber which is primary key i want to do that when user by mistake enter the duplicate jobnumber error occur that this is already used how can i do this ?
I Have one gridview which i show in admin panel and need to allow edit and delete the row.now my problem is when click on edit i need to check that duplicate record not allow to enter and my password is in encrypted formate and i need to show decrypted form in gridview so if admin want to edit password then he can edit it And at a time of edit gridview can i give option of dropdow to selection instead of text box?
On inserting record, I want to check that for example if a user enters a telephone number for any record is already in the database then it should validate that the number already exists in table and you cannot enter a duplicate value.
Then if user will provide some other telephone number then he allows to insert record.
For insertion of record I used ObjectdataSource.
User will enter telephone number in a simple textbox.
I may want to inform that I am working in asp.net2.0 and also not allowed to use any third party control or ajaxtoolkit.
The user will enter values in the textbox of the gridview in item template. A button outside the grid, when it is pressed we have to highlight the duplicate values.
i am using a gridview in my web page,i used to bind the database records to the gridview..my columns are name, empid, company name,pl leave,sl leave, total leave taken here total leave taken is not a database fields,in the page i want to fill the records once loaded pl leave and sl leave is added and display in the total leave taken column..it working properly when all pl ans sl columns fill with numbers,if some pl and sl leave having blank values.it showing an error like input sting was not in correct format..this is my code
I have 2two gridview .If i have load same data from two gridvie after that i drap and drop one ID one grid to another grid that time ID same means it will show alert match or it will show not match alert using jquery.
I would like to check if a particular value already exist in the database Gidview row. If the value already exist, tell the user that he has already entered the record and don't save. otherwise save the record. In my case I want to check the "Random number".
this is my sql query and its work fine in my code but it only check ParentDeptID IS NULL it not working when ParentDeptID field is empty how can i check it
("select DeptID,DeptName,(select count(*) FROM HrDept " _ & "WHERE ParentDeptID=sc.DeptID) childnodecount FROM HrDept sc where ParentDeptID IS NULL ", _ objConn)
i have an insert statement, and what i would like to do iswhen the value of table1 is entered, that value enters into table 2, so for example, heres my insert statement
INSERT INTO Cards (Name, Desc, id) VALUES ( @Name, @Desc, @id) INSERT INTO CardTP (NameSet, Desc, id)
Now, what i would like to do is that, i will specify all those individual values myself, BUT, when it now comes to the "id" field, when an id is entered for the "Cards" table, the SAME id should also be entered in the id column of the "CardTP" table. how i could enter the value of one table, into another tables row (having the same value) as i want the Cards and CardsTP table to be related in the id fields.
I am adding gridview data into data base every thing is fine but problem is that when there are no row then it give the message Data scessfully saved but I want it give me message when data entered into data base. When there are no data into data base it give me message there are no row in grid view .
Following my code
Function AddGridviewData() { var AddRow = new Array(); if (count = $get("id*=Test_gridview]").rows.length != 1) { ////length mention because I have one row into gridview but there are no data in that row means empty.
[CODE]..
how I show message (Data Successfully saved) when data entered into data base when there are no row show (No Row in gridview)
I have a Sql Data Source that queries my class database. What I'm trying to do to save myself some landscape is to check a checkbox if any of the pre-requisite fields are not empty. I have this laying inside a gridview. My code doesn't error out but it doesnt' do anything either.
[Code]....
My query is like this:
[Code]....
So in a nutshell, if there is any value in PR1 - PR7, I want to check my checkbox in the gridview.
I have textbox and checkbox in asp.net page. if the check box checked should have an input mask and if its uncheck should have another input mask. my code is always picking up second condition and I've been advised that I should add click event to run the code whenever the checkbox is clicked and because I'm new with jquery i need help to add click event to my script.
I'm just wondering if anyone can assist me with this gridview problem
I have this Sql statement that outputs a gridview like this
Job Location Activity 1 Activity 2 Activity 3
Job1 Location1 0 0 1
Job2 Location2 1 0 1
Job3 Location3 0 1 0
* These columns are placeholders
I want to include a footer total that looks like
Job Location Activity 1 Activity 2 Activity 3
Job1 Location1 0 0 1
Job2 Location2 1 0 1
Job3 Location3 0 1 0
Final Total 4
Im not binding the database to the gridview via design view I'm binding it programatically in the default.aspx.cs file
So far the only tutorials I've encountered are ones the have the database bound through design view and gridviews with only one column that can be added. In my particular example I have multiple columns that need to be added and I have already bound the data to the gridview.
Is it possible to add values from different database rows to a dropdownlist?
I'm currently trying to add both ItemSizeSmall and ItemSizeMedium, but through trial and error I can still only add one row from the database. I want the dropdownlist to display "Small" and "Medium" etc.
I guess my primary question is: How do I create a database with product size attributes?
I apologize if this thread should be in another forum, but if the dropdownlist can display two database rows I'll settle with that solution.
