I want to apply timer in gridview which include start,stop n pause button empolyee start timing when start working n stop when he dont want to work on that or he can also pause how can i do this?
View 1 RepliesVS2010 ( Vb.net ).I have a masterpage that contains a gridview, giving stats and information on client files sent to us. This gridview is updated by means of a timer control every 10 seconds. In my grid I have an image field, to display either a tick .. if everything is ok or a cross for any problems.When the timer control timer event forces a gridview databind every 10 seconds.When the page first loads, i get the default red Cross in the gridview imagefield, however when the timer loops forces a 'databind' I lose the redCross and it is replaced with the default image control ( as if no url is set ) . Then I get a server 404 error.I am using the OnDataBound event to fire my vb sub. I have commented out evertything just to get a solid starting point but im still getting errors.

View 1 RepliesI've a GridView bound to an object data source which gets data from a remote server. The GridView is inside an AJAX UpdatePanel. For each GridView row, I have a status data item for a person's status(like busy, free, etc.) and I need to show a running timer since a person has been in the current status. Different persons can be in different status at different times and so running timer for each person needs to be different and should be reset when a person changes status. Is it possible to show such a running timer for a cell in each row of a GridView and manipulate it differently i.e. start, stop and reset each instance individually?

Now i have a checkbox column in the gridview, and select all checkbox also, for functionality of checkboxes i am using javascript like what is explained by this article: [URL] ....
I like this way its simple and fast. but now when gridview refreshes the checkbox selection and others styles disappears.
Now what can i do to keep my selection as it is on gridview refresh. Do i have to stop the gridview refresh on checkbox selection?
I have a timer control on my gridview that refreshes it at a 3 minute interval, but when a user is updating the gridview it will mess us the update and then they have to start over again. View 1 RepliesI have read many online articles showing how to implement custom paging with stored procedure and objectdatasource control. So I know the benefits of custom paging on large result sets and I know how to implement it.
In my application, I have a stored procedure which is using ROW_NUMBER and taking parameters such as startIndex, pageSize etc. I also have method in my DAL who call this stored procedure and on my page I have GridView and ObjectDataSource control and they are calling DAL methods and everything is working perfectly fine.
Now I want to implement GridView paging without ObjectDataSource control by calling the DAL methods manually. I dont want to use ObjectDataSource control because I need manual access to the DataTable my DAL methods return which I think I dont have if I use ObjectDataSource control.

I am trying to implement a online shopping Cart which enables editing and deletion of products. I created a datatable programatically and bind it to a Griview control. (datatable is stored in a session variable ). When clicking the edit button of the Gridview nothing happened. How can I impement editing behaviour to the gridview?

I am using j-query auto complete plugin in textbox that is inside gridview. The autocomplete only works when my gridview has more than 1 row, if my gridview has only one row then the autocomplete will not work. I am using the same code i downloaded from this website.
