I am getting an error as External Not in a correct format.
I want to export the table and all the data to a file outside the db. Then I want to detach this db, attach a different db with the same table, and reimport the table data from the file.
I thought you could create a table with :

What is the proper syntax for this? I got an invalid path error. I just want to create the file on mu local C root.

I have a form that gets populated by LINQ and I want to be able to update the database using that same form. The form is populated by grabbing a querystring (for example, "edit=10") and searching the primary key for that record. So far so good. I have a button attached to the function below which is supposed to use LINQ to update the database with data from the form. I get no errors, but for some reason, it is only updating one field (Last_Updated) instead of all of them.

Which is better ??If its not part of the website, each of the 12 member user group will have the VB.exe code to run that generate the file and it can be uploaded to the website.If the webiste runs its own vb code, it will require the data to be upload and then generate the file.

I have two tables - Student and Advert.
I want to do the following;
1. Student is logged into their account (session is authenticated)
2. StudentID is primary key for that table, it is a foreign key for table Advert
3. When student is logged in, they create advert
What I want is their student Id to be input into the advert table when this new advert is created. How is this possible?

I would also like the Date to format to January 2010 I used the above date format because that is how it is in the table. Basically, I need to know how to create the pivot table to search the table for 1/*/10, 2/*/10, etc

Anyway, I have a VB script for entering a row of data into a table by a web user. When this row of data is entered, I wish to take some of the values from the columns of the "primary" table, and have that data automatically create a new row of data in a "secondary" table. I think I'm part of the way there, here is my script:

"ProductsByMfr" is the "primary" table - the table that the user adds data into when the button click event is fired.
"DealerPricing" is a "secondary" table that I wish to have some of the data from the newly-entered row in ProductsByMfr copied into. Am I even close here?

I have a table in my aspnet database. I added a bottom row "Not Selected", if the user doesn't select from a databound drop down list. This row is at the bottom, because I just added it to the table data. Is there any way to move this one row to the top of the table manually? View 3 RepliesI'm currently developing a system for booking of discussion room in a college. This system will allow the staff to help the students to make booking in advanced as well as for instant walk in usage.I've got a table to keep track of bookings, another for walk in and one for time slot.
For the time slot table, it includes start time slot and end time slot, which is 30 minutes interval for each.What i'm currently facing is that the system could not display the correct available time slot. I think it's the formula problem which I still can't get it solved.
Example:If the booking time is 8.30am - 9.00am, I have no problem showing the 1st slot as N/A.
But if the time is 8.45am - 9.15am, the system only update the 1st slot as N/A while the 2nd slot still remain as AVAILABLE which is wrong. Because since the time ends at 9.15, I would like the slot 9.00am - 9.30am to be N/A as well.
