Dec 23, 2010I have an asp:Table and around the mid point of the table there is a DDL with values 2-5. What I want to do is add the selected amount of rows using AJAX right after the table row that has the DDL in it. I know how to dynamicly crate the rows, the info in the rows, and how to use AJAX to make things. Problem is I can not put the ContentTemplate tag inbetween the asp:TableRow which would mark the location I want the dynamic rows to start being added. I did some searching on here but most posts I find start with making the table from code and not the asp:Table tag

last time I worked with a database (BD2), I set this as an autoIncrement feild and it would automaticaly 'deal with it' (ie, maintain the last used value somewhere and automaticaly used that value (after incrementing it) for any new row on the table).
How do I handle this in ASP.NET. Especially, as I try to add a new line based on form content when the user presses on a button (C#).

Jan 20, 2011I have table a and would like update table a whose values from table b, but not update all rows at table a. Only update record ID in table a match record ID in tableC.
Here is my query

and a.ID in ( select ID from TableC)
I only have 12 a.ID match TableC, but above query update whole TableA.
How to only update 12 record at TableA from TableB?

Need a control which is similar to table or like gridview with rows and columns.It should allow user to enter data in the cells. And when the user press tab it should go to next cell and finally if we press enter key, it should validate the data entered in the current row and if data is correct it should create a new empty next row(like entering data manually in an sqlserver table). How can i implement this functionality? Can i use gridview / javascript to implement this functionality.

Jul 17, 2013I have a form that contains a asp:Table and it contains 2 rows with 6 columns.
Also on my form is a gridview. It contains one row with 6 columns. (see pic)
I'd like to see if I can format both so that they appear to have the same over-all width and cell width too.
I'd like to know if it's possible to do this in the source view - rather than programmatically.
In the pic, the top is the grid view and underneath is the table.

Jan 14, 2011I have two possible header rows for a DataTable that I build dynamically. Setting the value of a cell works fine. Adding the cell to a TableRow works fine. The problem comes in where I have to build a second possible header row that uses the same cell.
An example is below.
trHead1 = New TableRow
trHead2 = New TableRow
tcCalc = New TableCell
tcCalc.Text = "Rates"
trHead1.Cells.Add(tcCalc)
trHead2.Cells.Add(tcCalc)
As soon as I make the second row add the cell, the cell disappears from the first row. This really doesn't make sense to me but that seems to be the way it is. If there is a work around other than duplicating the lines;
tcCalc = New TableCell
tcCalc.Text = "Rates"

Jun 4, 2010I am dynamically creating a table that contains a textbox in each cell. The table is put in a placeholder control. Everything displays perfectly. The problem is when I go to retrieve the values entered in the cells. I have the code to generate the table in a separate method called CreateTable(). In order for my program to find a table in the placeholder when I go to save, I have to run CreateTable() in a postback event AND in the PageLoad event. If I call CreateTable() in only one of those places and I try to save, it says the placeholder is empty and, therefore, I cannot save the textbox contents. I've tried calling CreateTable() from InitLoad but that doesn't work because it needs to reference values from three static controls: 1 dropdown, 1 listbox, and 1 calendar control, which I don't believe have had their viewstate rendered yet.

Mar 29, 2011I´m looking for some advice on how to create an table showing bookings, a table containing mon-sun on the horizontal axis and times at the vertical. The admin is able to edit each days bookable times (first bookable time, last bookable time) - The slottime is constant.
What I want is let the admin click on eacha cell to remove it/add it when removed. And other features as well, like create an booking for a customer.
What would be the easiest way to achive this, at the moment I use dynamic links since I cant get asp:buttons to work and the code to create an dynamic asp:table row by row and this produces some ugly code.
So any advice on how to achive such an "schedule".
