DataSource Controls :: Use ArrayList In SqlCommand
May 1, 2010
I want to add array list in sqlcommand.but i don't no how to pass it. My code is.
ArrayList
ProductId = new
ArrayList();
for (int i = 0; i < ShipmentPackage.Items.Count; i++)
{
ProductId.Add(ShipmentPackage.Items[i].ProductVariant.ProductID);
}
select * from TableName where id= ProductId(ProductId is my Arraylist)
i want to ask how to i set variable in asp:sqldatasource in sqlcommand in asp.net c#.... This is my code
asp.net <dx:ASPxListBox ID="lsAssignToko" runat="server" DataSourceID="SqlDataSource6" TextField="NAMA" ValueField="ID" AutoPostBack="true" EnableCallbackMode="True" SelectionMode="CheckColumn" OnSelectedIndexChanged="lsAssignToko_SelectedIndexChanged"> <Columns> <dx:ListBoxColumn FieldName="ID"/> <dx:ListBoxColumn FieldName="NAMA" /> </Columns> </dx:ASPxListBox> <asp:SqlDataSource ID="SqlDataSource6" runat="server" ConnectionString="<%$ ConnectionStrings:Ora2010 %>" ProviderName="<%$ ConnectionStrings:Ora2010.ProviderName %>" SelectCommand="SELECT ID, NAMA FROM REF_TOKO WHERE ID IN ( :inTOKO ) ORDER BY NAMA"> <SelectParameters> <asp:SessionParameter Name="inTOKO" SessionField="inTOKO" Size="200" Type="String" /> </SelectParameters> </asp:SqlDataSource> c# string dummy = ""; string data = ""; string inTK = ""; string inTOKO = ""; //string inTOKO1 = ""; int pot; for (int i = lsToko.SelectedItems.Count - 1; i >= 0; i--) { string tok = lsToko.SelectedItem.Text.ToString(); data = lsToko.SelectedItem.Value.ToString(); dummy = dummy + "" + data + ","; int index = lsToko.SelectedItem.Index; lsToko.Items.RemoveAt(index); } if (lsToko.SelectedItems.Count <= 1) { inTK = dummy.Length.ToString(); pot = int.Parse(dummy.Length.ToString()) - 1; inTOKO = dummy.Substring(0, pot); } Session["inTOKO"] = inTOKO;
the problem is where in my variable inTOKO consist of couple of value... Example while variable inTOKO = one value success but while value inTOKO = two value error inTOKO = 1101111 => success inTOKO = 1101111,1211321 => not success
I'm trying to determine whether it is better to declare the connection outside with it's own using statement or to create it inside the sqlcommand itself. This is in regards to a single command interaction with the database (no loops).
I am accepting query/queries from user (our support team) in a text box where user can enter only one query or multiple queries. I need to display result of all queries entered in the textbox. If it is SELECT statement then result of that statement in grid which is done. If UPDATE/INSERT/DELETE then total number of rows affected which is also done but if only one UPDATE/INSERT/DELETE statement is entered in the textbox.
If user enters 2 UPDATE statements and then a SELECT statement then how can I get number of rows affected for individual UPDATE statements just like SQL Server Qury Analyzer displays messages in its result pane.
e.g.
(6 row(s) affected) -- first UPDATE statement
(4 row(s) affected) -- second UPDATE statement
(16 row(s) affected) -- for SELECT statement (grid will also be displayed along with these messages).
I tried almost everything, SqlDataSource (returns count of first statement only), SqlCommand.ExecuteNonQuery and DataAdapter.Fill (returns count of last statement only).
I'm trying to convert some code from VB to C# on a site i'm working on and can't seem to get the arraylist to function properly.
Here is what we currently have in the codebehind:
[Code]....
Which we then call from the page using:
[Code]....
I want to convert this to C# as the rest of the code on the new site is in C# and I'm having problems with the ArrayList. I've got the other parts of the code all converted fine it's just the GetContent Function that isn't working right. Here's what I have:
[Code]....
I got an error on the "objSDR.Item" part of the code saying "SqlDataReader doesn't have definition for Item" and so if I changed this to the code above. Only problem now is I can't call this from the page using the code below as there is no "Item" in the GetContent Function any more
I have a web page where a GridView will be shown with a column of different products and another column with checkboxes. Checking on the checkboxes will be equivalent to selecting the products. The selected products are saved to an arraylist. Then, the user has to click on a button located on the same page to analyze the selected products. On clicking the button, he/she will be directed to another page where a bar graph will be shown. The bar graph will be the result of having analyzed the products. How do I create the bar graph where the products are taken from the arraylist but I can make use of the datasource within the chart control to retrieve more detailed info(such as product sales) from the database, taking into account the products from the arraylist?
i want to create a arraylist which will able to store user info like (username,machineIP,port ) for each user in the list & retrive this data when needed . any one tell me how i can do it or any alternative way without database or xml file.
Dim downloadsarray As New ArrayList downloadsarray.Add(iconlink) downloadsarray.Add(imgpath) downloadsarray.Add(filesize) downloadsarray.Add(description)
I have a GridView control of 5 columns out of which 2 are actually computed (there cell values comes from column 1, 2 and 3) columns. I want to save all the values of my gridview columns in a 5 dimension ArrayList and then lateron bind that ArrayList with a repeator control.
I'm new to asp.net and I'm trying to implement a shopping cart.With the following code (. Vb):
PartialClass a Inherits System.Web.UI.Page Protected Sub Page_Load(sender As Object, eAs System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load Dim FileNames As ArrayList =Session("SessionCarrito") If FileNames IsNot Nothing Then For Each Fname As String InFileNames ListBox1.Items.Add(Fname) Next End If End Sub End Class
That code shows a ListBox with the file names that are stored in a session variable. Works fine but I need to show those filenames in a gridview which also display a ID for each item and a button that will eliminate these items. How I can change my code to work with a gridview?
I've been trying to bound an arraylist to a grdview for display and managed to work out the following:
[Code]....
At the point where rows are added to dt, i'm trying to get arraylist (Tweet) to be read row by row to insert each of it's fields into dt. There is no error but when run in browser, each cell of the gridview shows 'DataExtraction.Tweet'.I'm not sure where to go from here.
I have an arraylist that contains some values. (e.g. playerName). I also queried for values in the database (e.g. playerName, playerSales) and I need to match the playerName in the arraylist to the corresponding ones that I did a query from the database. (match those with the same playerName). From there, I need to create a bar graph with the respective playerName and their sales (playerSales).
A portion of the code is shown below:
[Code]....
The arraylist I mentioned was saved to a session to be used in another page. Is my code right? And how can I create the graph from the values?
I want bind GridView from database using ArrayList. But my code not worked.I shared code below:
public System.Collections.ArrayList GetTime(int user, int kod) { SqlConnection con = new SqlConnection(UserData); SqlCommand cmd = con.CreateCommand(); System.Collections.ArrayList result = new System.Collections.ArrayList(); string sql = "select kod,dshbe,sshbe,chshbe,pshbe,jma,shbe,koduser where koduser ="+user+"and kod =" + vr;
I have a gridview, where I have made autocode using the wizard. However I need a dynamic SQLcommand from server side. I have tried this code, but it doesn't work, it works if I use this code from HTML (setting the sqlcommand in the SQLDataSource. I have deleted the sqlcommand from the HTML and instead I have implemented the code in the page_load event:
Code:
Dim str As String = SqlDataSource1.SelectCommand = "SELECT DISTINCT Beregning.bId, Informationer.Dato,Beregning.bType, Informationer.pNavn, Informationer.pNr, Informationer.Beskr, Beregning.uId FROM Beregning CROSS JOIN Informationer WHERE (Beregning.UserId = @UserId) AND Beregning.uId = Informationer.uId AND (Beregning.bType=@berType2) ORDER BY Beregning.bId DESC" SqlDataSource1.SelectCommand = str But this code works, when I apply the SQLCommand in HTML:
I have another class that creates the connection (see refined class half way down page) and I believe it connects or at lest I do not hit any of the exceptions in run time.
I would now like to insert data into my database but nothing is updated.
I am trying to follow this example but it is for reading.
I did run "querystring" on the show SQL Pane and it does execute correctly. It inserts data properly as a new row.
a) SqlCommand.ExecuteNonQuery is used for update, insert and delete operations.
Besides the fact that by using ExecuteNonQuery instead of ExecuteReader we automatically know there won't be any query results returned, are there some other benefits/reasons why ExecuteNonQuery should be used?
b) Similarly, if we want a database operation to return a single value, we should use ExecuteScalar instead of ExecuteNonquery ,where with the latter result would be returned via SqlParameter. Is there any particular reason why we should prefer ExecuteScalar over ExecuteNonQuery?
I have an ArrayList of strings called 'vins'. I have set DataGrid1's data source set to 'vins'. When I check off create columns automatically at runtime the DataGrid is populated with the correct values from the arraylist, however I'm not sure how to reference them. I'm trying to make it so that a user can click on a link after any VIN number and have that referenced and deleted from the arraylist. bind this ArrayList to the DataGrid and then be able to reference them.
I'm trying gridview templateField DropDownList bind with arraylist. When i set bindsource i got this error. "//Error Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
