DataSource Controls :: Error When Testing Query During Configuring Sql Data Source For Gridview?

I got the following error message:
There was an error executing the query. Please check the syntax of hte the command and if present, the types and values of the parameters and ensure they are correct. Failed to enable constraints. One or more rows contain values violating non-null, unique, or foreign-key constraints.
But when I run the query through Management Studio, I can get the result.
There are no parameters for this query either.

I'm using VSTS 2K8 and I've set up a Unit Test Project. In it, I have a test class with a method that does a simple assertion. I'm using an Excel 2007 spreadsheet as my data source.
My test method looks like this:

As indicated in the method decoration attributes, my Excel spreadsheet is on my local C:/ Drive. In it, the sheet where all of my data is located is named "Sheet1".I've copied the Excel spreadsheet into my project and I've set its Build Action = "Content" and I've set its Copy to Output Directory = "Copy if Newer".
When trying to run this simple unit test, I receive the following error:
The unit test adapter failed to connect to the data source or to read the data. For more information on troubleshooting this error, see "Troubleshooting Data-Driven Unit Tests" (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=62412) in the MSDN Library. Error details: ERROR [42S02] [Microsoft][ODBC Excel Driver] The Microsoft Office Access database engine could not find the object 'Sheet1'. I've verified that the sheet name is spelled correctly (i.e. Sheet1) and I've verified that my data sources are set correctly.Web searches haven't turned up much at all.

Is it possible to use dynamic query filters with a gridview using a stored procedure as a data source? What I'm thinking of is a search page where there are multiple controls to enter in a search string and a radio button for the AND/OR query filters between the various controls. If not, what would be the best way to allow a user to select an AND / OR with a group of different query controls?
Here is the page I have created thus far using a view and no AND/OR option. I but I can't get it to work with my SP, also listed below:

I am trying to use an XML as a datasource in ASP and then display it as a datagrid. The XML has the following format:

When I try to run the simple page I receive the following error

I am having a problem configuring the select link in the gridview, I have build a search engine, that works. When I click the select link in results gridview to pass the selected results to the next page I am having a problem getting the select link to work and pass my selection to a results page. Current process:
Whenever we have an issue in production, we restore DB backup from our nightly sql backup files in our testing environment. This way we get all data from production.
New Requirement:
Instead of restoring the db which takes upto 2 days, they want to do only selective restore based on few parameters. Requirement is to a build a new ASP.NET page in our application with few inputs. On submit button click, I should select data from prod and insert into testing environment. This involves opening new sql connection.

I'm new to ASP.net 3.5 and trying to create a test site so I can figure out how to use it in the real world. I have created a FormView (Formview1) based on a Client table using Linq Data Sources. The page includes a DropDownList to lookup Clients. I have added a list option (<asp:ListOption value="" Text="(Select Client)" and set AppendDataBoundItems=true so my added option is displayed. I decided to try to use Formview with only the Edit and Insert Modes, and I have set the Default Mode = Insert. When you open the page, a blank Client record is displayed.
The Client record contains serveral lookup fields and they have drop down lists for each. When I select a client from the Client DropDownList, is get the following message 'ddlClientType' has a SelectedValue which is invalid because it does not exist in the list of items I had this problem before and decided the best way to handle this (in the interim) was to turn off foreign key constraints for each of the lookup fields (e.g. ClientType) in SQL Server. That worked for 2-3 days. Now the problem has started again.
When I develop in other applications, I would simply create a lookup data source based on a Union Query with the actual data and a blank record. How can you do this using Linq DataSources. Can you get access and modify the queries?

I'm using the DetailView control to display employee details from a specfic company, but it seems when I try to create the query in the data source wizard I'm unable to select the variable for the WHERE clause, only the web pages control components.
The employees are selected through the company name which is entered at the beginning of the page and in turn is used to select the company id.

I dragged and dropped a sqldatasource and want to do an insert statement, taking the new values from a textbox. I did this already however when i do my insert statement eg. INSERT INTO Development_Programme(MHID) VALUES (@m) HOWEVER when to select the insert parameters the 'Next' button and the 'Finish' button is shaded off, I added a Select statement and the 'Next' was unshaded HOWEVER the screen to select the insert parameters is not appearing it goes straight to the Test Query.

Basically I want to take the following:And make it match the styling of the rest of the application.I am creating a custom error page in my C# based project and I want it to be able to show the same information that is displayed in the ASP.NET default error page. From fiddling with reflector I can see that this is generated through HttpException.GetHtmlErrorMessage() but when I try to use this in my exception it returns null.

So, I have 3 table adapters in my dataset, and trying to configure the objectDataSource will not give me the option to select the correct table adapter.
I set up a temporary website to illustrate what I am talking about, along with pics, not much, just 4 pics.

The first 2 pics are irrelevant but just in case anyone thinking I don't have it set up properly. The other table adapters are working fine, which I have gridviews being populated etc.

I know that you can use exclamation sign to bind array of simple types (like string) to GridView like this

But this doesn't seem to be the case with DataNavigateUrlFields

and I get following error:A field or property with the name '!' was not found on the selected data source.

I have an object data source that is being used by an rdlc report, and the object data source uses a filter that is built from session variables passed to the page.
The report displays correctly, with the filter applied; however, I want to mark each of the rows as "printed" in a bit field in the database table.
In the table adapter, I have the following Update command that is used by the object data source:
UPDATE dbo.WorkOrder
SET boolWorkOrderPrinted = 'True'
WHERE (WorkOrderID = @Original_WorkOrderID)
And in the Page Load event, I run:
ObjectDataSource1.Update();
However, no records are updated.

I know this sounds odd. I have a SQL DB that I am pulling data from. I have to some math functions to get a percentage. So I am pulling all the data in my code and building a data table with the results. I am then trying to pass this into a chart control that I have, but it fails because the data source is not correct for the chart control. I know that the chart control will accept a SQLDataSource control as a data source because a built a example with it before using it in my project.So my question is how can I use the Data Table as a data source for a SQLDataSource Control? Or is there a way I can pull the data from my DB andapply the math needed in a stored procedure or something similar that I could create the procedure on my SQL server then add a SQLDataSource control to my page and use the stored procedure as the source for the SQLDataSource Control.
