DataSource Controls :: Get Excel Sheetnames Dynamically And Import Them Into SQL With C#?

I have a project where an Excel file is dumped out in a specific format. I can't change how it's dumped. I need to make a website with .NET & C# where I can look for the Excel file (will always be in the same location - probably same name with .xls extension), dynamically get the sheetnames and import each sheet into 1 sql database.
I just need the user to go to a webpage and click "Import" button, or something like that and everything happens behind the scenes.
I was going to do it in SSIS but there were problems with dynamic sheet names and it wouldn't catch all the columns ..

I want to upload data from an Excel Sheet into my DB. Now my major requirement is, I do not know the header count in the files to be uploaded and they may vary, for example one file may have 3 headers while some may have 6. and I want data of both these files to go into a single DB. I have an excel sheet which has several parent records/rows and every parent row/record has several child sub-records under it. I have a field called ID which is of the type String as it contains a mixture of characters and numbers and is common for both parent and child records. I have been trying to import from an Excel file and insert it into a table. I can upload the Excel file. I can view the Excel file in a grid But when I run the import process to insert the rows in the Excel file I get only one row and it has all nulls except the dateentered and entered by field. I added breakpoints and tried setting a couple of the fields to labels and I could see that data was getting to the reader.

1) allow managers of each module after authentication to download the excel file (containing the students enrolled in the given module), the excel file ted is generated by the following code: Id_student ____ maks of subject1 -------- ----maks of subject2

* Add the following condition: the student'marks is between 0 and 20.
* Calculate the average of this module : sum (coeff * mark) / sum (coeff)
2) Allowing responsable module send me the file containing the data (but then I do not know how)

I'm still struggling with my scenario. I have looked everywhere for a solution and cannot find a solution. I am using C# and ASP.NET and I need to export data to an Excel spreadsheet.
I have a list of applications that contains Application objects. Each Application object has a status ID. When I export these applications to Excel then I need a column with a drop down/combo box in it. In this drop down/combo box should be a list of all the statuses from the database. And then I need the status to be selected to that of the application's status ID.
Another question is also with regards to the above scenario. When the user downloads the Excel document then the user can change the status of each application by selecting a different value in the drop down. I will need to upload this spreadsheet and loop through the rows and get the values of the columns and the value of the selected item in the drop down/combo box. How would you do this? Is this possible?
I may not use COM components, so I tried to go with EPPlus or NPOI (it does not have to be these 2) but it doesn't seem like they support my scenario. How would I be able to achieve my scenario? Once again, it doesn't have to make use of EPPlus and NPOI.

Below is my existing import. Well what is happending is I am loosing the users ability to post the excel fiel to the web server and then import it from there. I need to import the excel file directly from their local folders. SO they need to be able to pick it from there my documents and import the file into sql. IS this possible? An how can I change my code to allow them to pick the file and then import it. Still working in asp.net 1.1.
