I want to filter a datetime field for a date without the time...
I want all fields that contain the selected date regardless of the time.
What should I use as the filter expression?
how do i insert date and time together ? what is the format for this. i tried like this but its not working.

its not writing any eror it just do nothing .
I am filtering dataview using my Date Column but the result is not proper because the Field value also stores time, so I want to convert this Date Field to only Date during Filter. here comes the problem.. how come the "DbType" is always 'Date'?After i click the list and select 'DateTime', but next time it will recover back to 'Date'I have to go to the source code find the "Dbtype" and change from "Date" to "DateTime" manually EVERYTIME~

It's weird that my original datatype is "DateTime" but the Dbtype is ALWAYS "Date" and lead to error everytime.

One of my fields is a DateTime field, and I've noticed that when I create the columns, it's being changed to a String, but I need it to still be a DateTime field for sorting. I've got a gridview which works fine. I use dropdownlists which are filled with distinct values of the columns. So when I select an item in a drompdownlist the gridview refreshes based on the selected value. When I have a column which uses string values, I can start the filter with a default % value to use in my select paramaters. But when I have a date column, I can't use that. I use a datasource for the gridview and I prefer to leave codebehind out if this is not needed. Now I use >= in my gridview select to show all rows. but I want to use only = to make the filter work correct when I select a date in the ddl and use the selectedvalue in the gridview selectCommand

I am selecting time from dropdownlist. and want to convert it in datetime and store it in database. When I am converting it to Datetime using following statement.
DateTime start_Time = Convert.ToDateTime(start_ts);
but it is showing as : date:12:00:00AM

I have turned on Option Explicit On so the default date of 01/01/1900 does not get assigned to this field automatically. Since most of the people in the database will not have a date of death, I need to have "blank" deathDate. When I run the stored procedure within SQL and choose pass null value, the Insert Procedure works fine. When I attach to Web Form, however, I get String was not recognized as a valid DateTime error. How can I set it so Null values are accepted into this date field.

1. Enter a datetime in a text box in web form 1
2. Show the date time in the label in the web form 2
3. In web form 2, create a dropdownlist to get a nearest date from database (datatype = DateTime in dd/MM/yyyy) to the date entered from step 1.
In step 1, I am only allowed to enter the date time in US style in text box and I have tried manything like:
- Insert <globalization culture="auto:en-GB" uiCulture="auto:en-GB"/> in web.config
- Set above culture on page webform 1 and 2

There is a "singleline" Textbox in my page in which both date and time are fetch from database table column "DateTime".
I want Time to be come below Date in that "singleline" Textbox.
I can't take that Textbox as "multiline". How to split date and time in singleline Textbox?
