The table variable @CaseNumbers is declared, and is a bunch of values are inserted using a table-valued function called SplitStringIntoInts. At this point I can select from @CaseNumbers and this works fine.But when I try to join onto @CaseNumbers, the name '@CaseNumbers' in the ON clause is highlighted with the error 'Must declare scalar variable @CaseNumbers'. What?! It's not scalar, I declared it ages ago and I have used it since!

I have been mokeying around with it because of what is happening. I have a dataset, call it dataset1. I drag this stored procedure onto the dataset. I EXPECT a datatable to appear, instead the data set adds this store procedure to the queries table adapter and sets the exec mode to 'NonQuery' which unless I am very mistaken, means "don't expect a dataset back from this' when in fact you DO expect a dataset back from this.
The SQL server is a Windows 2000 Server running SQL 2000. It has never caused us a moments grief since we set it up oh-so-many years ago.
If I connect to a different database and drag a query into the same dataset I get a datatable as I expect. I cannot see where / how this procedure could be wrong. The query when executed returns exactly the data I expect, in the format I expect (looks like a table, acts like a table in the Query analyzer).

In the above statement Suppose we take a scenario where Select @@ROWCOUNT as Priority3 is executed, I get two tables returned, One is the Table returned by Select @@ROWCOUNT as Priority3 and the other is the Table returned by Select @@ROWCOUNT as Priority2 which has no Records. More specifically, i'm trying to create a stored procedure that displays data from a table if the date column in the table matches a specific day of the week. (IE. Monday, Tuesday, ect...)

Each student is identified by a unique ID.
My code currently correctly obtains their ID, adds it as a parameter to my stored procedure and executes the procedure;

However, when I try to access the results, with say dv.Table.Rows[0], I get the following error:

Upon debugging, there don't seem to be any results returned... when running just the stored procedure in SQL Server with the same data, it does return a single row, as expected.

I have a stored procedure that creates a dynamic query. Sometimes the query is not built because there are no elements in the dynamic query. When the aspx page loads the SqlDataSource throws an error that the query is malformed. How can I catch this error, and handle it with a default message, before it returns the error to the aspx page?
View 2 Repliessing VS 2008 at a workstation, I have successfully developed a local, file-system ASP.NET 3.5 website. The wbesite included a membership page with Windows authentication and a web parts page. The SQL Server 2005 ASPNETDB database has been created at an IIS web servr. Using the ASP.Net development server of the workstation, both the membership Membership/WebParts pages at the local website worked very well.
Then, I copied the website to a virtual directory at the IIS web server and creates a remote website for the workstation. Under theASP.NET development server of the workstation, both membership and webparts pages of the remote website at the IIS web server also worked fine.
However, when running these web pages from the IIS web server machine, something wrong happened with the web parts page. (The membership page still worked very well.) For the ASPNETDB database at the IIS web server machine, there is an EXECUTE permission error on an ASPNET stored procedure.
What are the differences between the ASP.NET development server and IIS web sever, which caused the EXECUTE permission error on the ASP.NET S.P.? How to find and fix the errors?
I am doing this in my stored proc. Creating a temp table. Dumping the select results into the temp table and then select the info where the search string is based on the status name info.

SELECT normalTbl.*, tmp.fld1 FROM normalTbl
LEFT JOIN #Temp tmp ON tmp.joinID = normalTbl.joinID
All tmp.fld1 values are shown as NULL even though fld1 contains valid values and the joinID matches the normalTbl (when I call SELECT * from #Temp). If I do the same exact thing with a regular table, fld1 shows the correct value. What am I doing wrong?
