I have a datalist that shows information from a SQL table perfectly. Is there a way to show the information in reverse order?
Example:

Person3
Instead I would like:;
Person3
Person2
Person1
i have stored in the database as location India,Tamilnadu,Chennai,Annanagar while i bind in the grid view it ll be displaying as 'India,Tamilnadu,Chennai,Annanagar' this format.
but i need to be displayed as 'Annanagar,Chennai,Tamilnadu,India' in this format. how to perform this reverse order in query or in c#
note: this is stored under one column as 'India,Tamilnadu,Chennai,Annanagar' with comma separated.
I am created dynamic Usercontrol in the placeholder, it works fine(top to bottom) but i need to add controls in reverse order mean(bottom to top). I don know how to handle this one. how to display dynamic control in Bottom to top?

It correctly sorts on the UWDate column, but I would like it to sort the opposite sort order. Of course, once it is displayed, you can click on the title and it will resort at that time.

My problem is that the ITEM_NAME, ITEM_ID (for the More... link), and the ITEM_BUILDING_ID are in one table in my database; The BUILDING_NAME and BUILDING_ADDRESS are in another table.I have an sql query string working to get the information in the items table but I don't know how to get the Building Information which is on another table. I know the sql query to get the building information (SELECT building_Name, building_address FROM buildings WHERE building_id = @ITEM_BUILDING_ID). My problem is that you can't bound two sql data sources and in the buildings query how do I get the value of the ITEM_BUILDING_ID label into the query.

I also need to show a set of related data from another table in another repeater nested within the first repeater. I have been playing around with this but I can not figure out how to handle creating the SQLSource. I tried to pass values from the first repeater into the select command but I get a Parser Error that says that the tag is not well formed.

The problem is I had to create a draftResult class in order to show data that resides in two different tables using linq which means if i want to add or remove a column i will need to do so in the draftresult and in my linq. Here's what my setup looks like: I have two tables (draft, lookUpStatus)

I want to list the draft name and the status title in a table view. In order to do this, I wrote the following linq in a method in my sqlRepository class and return it to a IQueryable<draftResult>. My controller instanstiates the sqlRepository object and invokes GetDraftListing().

The above process works but does not seem as flexible and i'm trying to get a better understanding of MVC and LINQ.
I have a table where I have a column for different states (NY, NJ, etc). People can join the group (in my page) for each state (the state where they live). So I have to display the newest members for each state.
So the way it should work is, every time the page is refreshed/reloaded it should show the state name as a header text and the first 5 newest members for that state. This should be random, for example initially when the page is loaded say it will show state: New York and the 5 recent members like Stacy, Laura, Mike, Sam, Mathew.
Then when the page is refreshed it will show another state like State: california and the recent 5 members
I have to display data (names) in a random order on the website. The data is stored in a MS Access database. The names must be displayed in a GridView and DataList in different places. I have created a query in MS Access "zorder: Rnd([MarinaAccommodation]![ID])" which works fine in MS Access giving me a different order each time.
The problem is that when I try run it on the website the order remains the same, it does not change each time the page is loaded.

I want to show information from an excel spreadsheet in a web page. The xls will have maybe 5 columns, and as many rows as needed. The columns will be 'Name', 'Created Date', 'Expired Date', 'Owner', and maybe down the road maybe more.
What I would like is for the C# to nightly read the xls, and display the information in a table on the website.

On Mouse-over i wish to show user information such as User Id, User Name, User Location, User Age etc. All this info would be coming from database. As well, this information would be in a rectangular block that would actually come-up on Mouse-over.

In a project you may set the build information in the file AssemblyInfo.cs under the projects Properties folder. Here is a snippet of the AssemblyInfo.cs file:

But there is no such file for an web application project, so I have to get this information from one of the compiled DLLs that is in the same assembly as my web application then? Or how is this done?
The reason I want this information is because my customer would like to have a webpage within the web application where he could see the current version. This is also nice to have when testing and debugging etc.
