View 3 RepliesI want my UpdatePanelAnimationExtender animation to always show in the center of the browser window even after a window resize or page scroll. The animation does re-center horizontally after a window resize but not vertically. It does not re-center after either a vertical or horizintal page scroll. I get the same behavior in IE 8, Safari & Firefox. Below is my code:

How would I go about resizing a div from a page to it's master page?
Making the div a server side control doesn't seem to be an option as all applied css breaks from the name change and I cannot modify the css file.
I have tried the solution below from Hunter using the MasterType and then creating a property in my base master page, but my content page does not see the public property.
I have three files involved listed in their hierarchal structure.
1) Base master page where div resides
2) Master page for section of site
3) Content page for which I need to change the div in #1
At run time when I resize the Browser Window my controls move. Means when Browsers windo is full i.e Maximized the the look proper but when i resize the browser window the move within page and look all dismissed, And how to prevent it .

The web page contains bunch of update panels that have reports in iFrame controls inside it. On click of save, I display modal popup with confirmation message. Initially, all panels are collapsed, modal popup is displayed properly with the gray background color. When i expand all the panels, page gets really huge and modal popup displays no background color (transparant). Below are the styles I am using -

I have very simple validation on the aspx page (highlighting not valid textbox), and it works perfectly. But when I try to work with this page using MasterPage, I've got an error - "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." (with reference to the line "aControl.BackColor=Drawing.Color.White" - underlined).

I have an image on my master page like this:

The master page lies in Root/MasterPages/masterpage.master
Now this image is displayed in a content page which is in Root/SomeDir/ContentPage.aspx,
but it doesn't work in a content page which is in Root/SomeDir1/SomeDir2/ContentPage.aspx. Why?

I created an application which has a menu where it's items are created dynamicly. The menu acts as a language menu.

I use session variables to set my current language.however if I click on the menu to change the session variable:

The thing is the content doesn't change, only after I click on something else.If I skip through my code after clicking on the menuItem I can see that it passes the code and it should change, however for some reason the page needs another extra trigger to modify it's content.I also see the page reloading so I don't understand why it's not changing immediatly. I guess I'm not understanding the asp.net logic just quite yet.
I have a pretty standard update panel. In the update panel are radio buttons that trigger the update panel to change it's view (list or grid) based on which radio is selected. This works great in every browser except IE8. Considering that iframes do not resize to dynamic content, I need something that will resize like a table and can be used for dynamic content.
View 2 RepliesI have an iframe on website A which receives the controls from website B once the form is processed on website B. Here is the page on website A with the iframe. I have hard coded the height at 100px:

Once the Save button is clicked, website B processes the data in this form, and sends messages and a dropdown box back to the iframe. When it does this, the iframe needs to have the height adjusted. How do I increase the height when this happens?

I've a detailedview and gridview in an accordion pane. Whenever I triggered some postback actions (e.g. delete some row in the gridview or edit the values in the detailedview), the content in the pane became empty. It would show up correctly if I resized the browser. This only happens in IE8, but work correctly in FireFox. Is this a problem of the browser, or can I improve my code to prevent this from happening? The following is my code

View 1 RepliesAs the first step, I designed a Master Page for my website. Everything seems to be in order. My master page has a table say "Mytable" with 2 rows.
In the first row, I've put up a banner for the website.
In the second row, I want to place the ContentPlaceHolder.
The thing is that I can't make the ContentPlaceHolder to occupy the whole cell. I tried finding the solution through search engines and could not find out a solution.
In my web page, I want to create a table by Javascript. I mean that I want to make this table to occupy the second row of "Mytable". There is still some gaps left at the top and bottom of the ContentPlaceHolder.
I am looking to have my page come up at page load so that it is resized and without any toolbars etc. This is needed at page load because I am processing a query string at the same time. Is there a way I can accomplish this? I am using VB.NET.

I'm using this Ajax script [URL] to load content from an aspx page on another server than the page calling the content. So far I've learned that this is a no go. The problem seems to be that when using an absolute link to content the script fails as apposed to using a relative link.
I've searched the web for about 10 hours now, and I still haven't found what I'm looking for.
I have a login page that is loaded in popup window (colorbox) and after user logs in it should be closed and parent window should be loaded with new page.

I am hoping someone has experience with this, but I am loading a window from a link on my main page. The window loads an ASPX page via the window's loadmethod of iFrame. The aspx page has its own update panel on it and I was wondering how I can call the window's "spinner" / process indicator while the page is processing. I have looked at the documentation on some online information about it but I am not sure how to implement it.

View 3 RepliesIn an .aspx page with the vb.net codebehind i am using IFRAME , which would be created inside the repeater control. Since i want to resize the IFRAME based on the content within the page i have been using the resize function Obtained from here on the IFRAME onload as shown below.

However it is throwing the error as the method could not be found in the form. Is there any client side script variant for the onload event? May i know,What might be the reason for the error and its solution?
I have developed an application which fetches the data from RSS and after modifying it I want to post it to the web browser (not we control but internet explorer or firefox). I am trying using HTT PResponse's Response.Write. But hadn't got any success can anyone please help me. If possible please let me know if I will write it like this can I maintain session information in future if required.
